## Pricing

from $2.00 / 1,000 per-run start fees

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Google Finance Scraper

Live quotes and the full key-statistics block from Google Finance. One row per
ticker with the price, the change, and everything Google shows beside it: open,
day high and low, market cap, volume and average volume, dividend and yield,
P/E, the 52-week range, EPS, beta, shares outstanding and headcount.

Pass `AAPL` or `AAPL:NASDAQ`. A ticker that names its exchange keeps it; one
that does not falls back to **Default exchange**, which starts at NASDAQ.

### Name the exchange for anything outside US tech

This is the input that decides whether you get a quote at all. `ASML` on
NASDAQ and `ASML` on AMS are different listings at different prices in
different currencies, and a bare ticker cannot tell them apart.

So write `ASML:AMS`, `SHEL:LON`, `SAP:ETR`, `7203:TYO`. If your whole list is
one market, set **Default exchange** once and pass bare tickers.

### Numbers you can sort, and the text you saw

Every large figure comes back twice. `market_cap` is `4770000000000` and
`market_cap_text` is `"4.77T"`. The same holds for volume, average volume,
shares outstanding and headcount.

That is deliberate: a market cap of `"4.77T"` is unsortable in a spreadsheet,
and a market cap of `4770000000000` is unreadable in a report. You get both and
pick per column.

`currency` is read off the page rather than inferred from the exchange, because
a listing can quote in a currency the exchange's country does not use, and an
inferred value would be wrong without ever looking wrong.

### Where a cell is empty

Google writes `-` where it has no figure, and those arrive as null rather than
zero. A P/E of null means the company has no meaningful one, usually because
it has no earnings; a P/E of 0 would be a claim nobody made.

`previous_close` and `cdp_score` appear on some listings and not others.

### Errors

| Code | Meaning |
|---|---|
| `blocked` | No attempt got a quote page back |
| `not_parsed` | A quote page arrived with no price on it |
| `bad_input` | No ticker was given |

`blocked` and `not_parsed` are different problems. The first is us not getting
served and is worth retrying; the second means the page came back but the
layout moved, which is a bug report rather than a retry.

Raise **Attempts per ticker** if you see `blocked`. **Only tickers that were
actually quoted are billed.**

### Freshness

`as_of` carries the timestamp exactly as the page states it, including the
market's own timezone. Outside trading hours that is the closing price, and
the after-hours figure is a different number on the same page which this actor
does not report as the price.

# Actor input Schema

## `tickers` (type: `array`):

One per line. Name the exchange as AAPL:NASDAQ or ASML:AMS; a bare ticker falls back to the default exchange below.

## `exchange` (type: `string`):

Used for tickers that do not name one. NASDAQ is right for US tech and wrong for everything else.

## `language` (type: `string`):

Two-letter interface language.

## `country` (type: `string`):

Two-letter market code for the request. The currency is read off the page rather than assumed from this.

## `concurrency` (type: `integer`):

How many tickers to fetch at once.

## `attempts` (type: `integer`):

How often to retry with a fresh session and exit before giving up on a ticker.

## Actor input object example

```json
{
  "tickers": [
    "ASML:AMS",
    "SHEL:LON"
  ],
  "exchange": "AMS",
  "language": "nl",
  "country": "nl",
  "concurrency": 3,
  "attempts": 8
}
```

# Actor output Schema

## `quotes` (type: `string`):

One row per ticker.

## `summary` (type: `string`):

How many tickers were quoted and how many carried a market cap and a P/E.

## `errors` (type: `string`):

Tickers that could not be read.

# API

You can run this Actor programmatically using our API. Below are code examples in JavaScript, Python, and CLI, as well as the OpenAPI specification and MCP server setup.

## JavaScript example

```javascript
import { ApifyClient } from 'apify-client';
// Initialize the ApifyClient with your Apify API token
// Replace the '<YOUR_API_TOKEN>' with your token
const client = new ApifyClient({
    token: '<YOUR_API_TOKEN>',
});
// Prepare Actor input
const input = {
    "tickers": [
        "AAPL:NASDAQ",
        "MSFT:NASDAQ"
    ]
};
// Run the Actor and wait for it to finish
const run = await client.actor("s-r/google-finance-scraper").call(input);
// Fetch and print Actor results from the run's dataset (if any)
console.log('Results from dataset');
console.log(`💾 Check your data here: https://console.apify.com/storage/datasets/${run.defaultDatasetId}`);
const { items } = await client.dataset(run.defaultDatasetId).listItems();
items.forEach((item) => {
