## Pricing

from $2.79 / 1,000 pages

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

### Facebook Follower Count Checker: Exact Count & Growth History

**Check the exact follower count of any public Facebook page or profile, in bulk, without login or cookies.** Not "82M" as Facebook shows it, but **82,215,002**. Every run saves the count, so the next run tells you **how many followers each page gained or lost since the last check, over the last 7 and 30 days, and per day on average**.

Paste a list of **page links, usernames or page IDs** (yours, your clients', your competitors') and run it once as a follower counter, or schedule it daily or weekly as a **Facebook follower count tracker** with its own history. Clean JSON, CSV or Excel output, by API too.

#### What makes it different

| | |
| --- | --- |
| 🔢 **Exact count** | `followers` as a full number (28,716,901, not 28M), `followersExact` says when Facebook shows only a rounded one |
| 📈 **Growth history built in** | `followersChange` since the previous check, `followersChange7d`, `followersChange30d`, `avgDailyGrowth` and the last 90 points in `followersHistory` |
| 🔔 **Only report changes** | Scheduled runs can return (and charge) only pages whose followers moved, with a minimum change you choose |
| ⚡ **Light and fast** | Reads a small part of Facebook per page: thousands of pages per run |
| 💬 **Talking about and check-ins** | One switch adds `talkingAbout`, `wereHere` (check-ins), the category and the talking-about rate |
| 🔒 **No account, no cookies** | Only what any logged-out visitor sees; your Facebook account is never used or at risk |

#### Example

Input: `https://www.facebook.com/NASA`, `katzsdeli`, `https://www.facebook.com/mcdonalds`. Real run, 11 Oct 2026:

| Page | Followers | Exact | Verified | Page ID |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration | 28,716,903 | yes | yes | 54971236771 |
| Katz's Delicatessen | 954,449 | yes | no | 89033874836 |
| McDonald's | 82,226,487 | yes | yes | 50245567013 |

Facebook itself shows these as "28M", "954K" and "82M". A second run two minutes later with **Add talking about, check-ins and category** returned McDonald's at 82,226,173 (`followersChange` −314), 110,684 talking about this (`talkingAboutRate` 0.135%), category Burger Restaurant; Katz's Delicatessen 529,782 check-ins.

On a larger run the same day, 61 brand pages took 32 seconds: 59 with an exact count, Samsung Electronics only rounded ("4.8M", gated for logged-out visitors), 2 inputs not found (free).

#### Follower growth between runs

The Actor keeps a history per page in your Apify account (key-value store `facebook-follower-count-history`). From the second run on, every row has:

| Field | Meaning |
| --- | --- |
| `previousFollowers`, `previousCheckAt`, `daysSincePreviousCheck` | the count at the previous check and when it was |
| `followersChange`, `followersGrowthPct` | change since then, in followers and in % |
| `followersChange7d`, `followersChange30d` | change against the newest check at least 7 / 30 days old |
| `avgDailyGrowth` | average followers gained per day since the first saved check |
| `followersHistory` | up to 90 saved points, one per day (a later run the same day replaces it): `date`, `followers`, `exact`, `talkingAbout` |

Schedule it in Apify (Schedules → daily) and turn on **Only report follower changes** to get a short list of the pages that moved; unchanged pages are free.

#### Input

| Field | What it does |
| --- | --- |
| **Facebook pages** | One per line, any mix: `https://www.facebook.com/NASA`, `NASA`, `@NASA`, `https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100064530531036`, `/people/...` or `/pages/...` links, or a numeric page ID |
| **Add talking about, check-ins and category** | Adds `talkingAbout`, `wereHere`, `likes` (older pages), `category`, `type` and `talkingAboutRate`; same price, slower |
| **Only report follower changes** | Return only pages whose followers changed since the last check (and new ones) |
| **Minimum change to report** | With the option above: report only moves of at least this many followers |
| **Parallel requests** | How many pages are loaded at the same time (1-30) |

#### Output

| Field | Example |
| --- | --- |
| `name`, `username`, `url`, `pageId` | NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration, NASA, https://www.facebook.com/NASA, 54971236771 |
| `followers`, `followersExact`, `followersText` | 28716901, true; for a rounded count: 4800000, false, "4.8M" |
| `verified`, `profilePictureUrl` | true, image link |
| `followersChange`, `followersGrowthPct`, `followersChange7d`, `followersChange30d`, `avgDailyGrowth` | see above |
| `talkingAbout`, `wereHere`, `likes`, `category`, `type`, `talkingAboutRate` | with the engagement option: 101437, null, null, Government organization, Page, 0.353 |
| `input`, `checkedAt` | NASA, 2026-10-11T14:05:12+00:00 |

A page that Facebook does not show (deleted, renamed, a private profile) returns a free row with `input` and `error`.

#### Pricing

Pay per event: **$0.001** per run and **$0.00349** per page (**$3.49 per 1 000 pages**). Apify Scale plan: $3.14 per 1 000, Business plan and above: $2.79 per 1 000. The growth history and the engagement option are included. Inputs not found, and unchanged pages in "Only report follower changes" mode, are free.

| Example | Cost |
| --- | --- |
| 20 competitor pages, checked daily for a month | ~$2.12 |
| 1 000 pages, once | ~$3.49 |
| 10 000 pages, weekly, only the ~30% that changed by 100+ | ~$10.47 a week |

#### FAQ

**How do I see the exact follower count of a Facebook page?** Facebook rounds it on the page ("82M followers"). Put the page link or username into **Facebook pages** and run: `followers` is the full number.

**Can I see the follower count history of a Facebook page?** From the day you start checking it: every run adds a point, `followersHistory` keeps the last 90 and the change fields compare against them. Facebook does not publish older history.

**Why is `followersExact` false for some pages?** A few pages are shown by Facebook to logged-out visitors only with a rounded count (some brand pages restricted by age or country). The Actor then returns that number with `followersText` (for example "4.8M") and does not use it for the change fields.

**Does it work for personal profiles?** Yes, for public profiles that show a follower count (creators, public figures).

**Can I get the list of followers?** No: Facebook shows who follows a page only to logged-in users. This Actor counts, it does not list.

**Do I need a Facebook account or cookies?** No. Only data that Facebook shows to any logged-out visitor is read.

#### Tips

- Use the *Follower growth* view for a report and send it to a [Google Sheet](https://apify.com/s_actors/google-sheets-import-export) after each scheduled run.
- For big brands set **Minimum change to report** to 1 000 or more, so daily noise does not fill the list.
- Need contacts, page creation date, ads status or the latest post too? Use the [Facebook Page Scraper](https://apify.com/s_actors/facebook-page-scraper).

#### Limits

- Pages that Facebook gates for logged-out visitors give only a rounded count (`followersExact` false), or an error row when even that is hidden (free).
- Groups, events and Marketplace are not pages and return a free error row.
- The history lives in your Apify account; a new account starts from zero.

#### Use with the API and AI agents

Run it via the [Apify API](https://docs.apify.com/api/v2) from Python, Node.js or any HTTP client, or connect it to Claude, ChatGPT and other AI agents through the [Apify MCP server](https://mcp.apify.com): "Check the Facebook followers of these 30 competitor pages every Monday and tell me who grew fastest."

```json
{
    "pages": ["https://www.facebook.com/NASA", "katzsdeli", "https://www.facebook.com/mcdonalds"],
    "includeEngagement": false,
    "onlyChanges": false
}
```

Each row is one page with `name`, `followers`, `followersChange`, `followersChange7d`, `followersChange30d` and `url`; inputs not found have `error`.

#### Is it legal?

The Actor reads only public counts that Facebook shows to any visitor, without logging in. It collects no personal data about followers.

# Actor input Schema

## `pages` (type: `array`):

One per line, any mix: a page or profile link (facebook.com/<name>, also profile.php?id=, /people/... and /pages/... links), the page username ("NASA", "@NASA") or its numeric page id. Thousands of pages per run are fine. Groups and events are not pages.

## `includeEngagement` (type: `boolean`):

Also returns "talking about this" (people engaging with the page in the last 7 days), "were here" (check-ins), the page category and the talking-about rate. Same price, but each page loads a larger part of Facebook, so runs are slower.

## `onlyChanges` (type: `boolean`):

For scheduled runs: return only pages whose follower count changed since the last check (and pages checked for the first time). Unchanged pages are free.

## `minChange` (type: `integer`):

With "Only report follower changes": report a page only when its followers moved by at least this many (up or down) since the last check, e.g. 1000 for big brands.

## `maxConcurrency` (type: `integer`):

How many pages are loaded at the same time.

## Actor input object example

```json
{
  "pages": [
    "https://www.facebook.com/NASA",
    "katzsdeli",
    "https://www.facebook.com/mcdonalds"
  ],
  "includeEngagement": false,
  "onlyChanges": false,
  "minChange": 1,
  "maxConcurrency": 10
}
```

# Actor output Schema

## `overview` (type: `string`):

Exact followers of every page (growth: see the Follower growth view).

## `growth` (type: `string`):

Followers now and before, change since the previous check, over 7 and 30 days, average per day.

## `all` (type: `string`):

Every field of every row.
