## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

### Foundit Jobs Scraper & API: HR Phone Numbers, Real or Repost, Salary

Scrape **Foundit jobs** (foundit.in, formerly Monster India) to Excel, CSV or JSON **without login**, know **where every job really comes from**, and get the **HR contact number** of the recruiter or job consultancy behind it. What sets it apart:

- **Posted on Foundit or reposted?** Most Foundit jobs are copies of jobs from other sites. In our test of 500 new jobs (data entry, sales executive, python developer, accountant, telecaller), **448 (90%) were reposts**: **360 from LinkedIn**, 64 from company career sites (Oracle Recruiting, Workday, Infosys careers...). Every row has `sourceType`, `repostedFrom` (LinkedIn / Job board / Company career site), `applyPlatform` and the **original job link** (`originalJobUrl`), so you apply where the employer reads applications. Already scraping LinkedIn? **Skip LinkedIn reposts** in one click.
- **Jobs posted on Foundit itself** come with what reposts lack: a **salary range** (35 of 52 in our test; the rest hidden by the employer), **applicants** (median 32 against 1 for reposts) and **views**. Keep only them with **Source: Only jobs posted on Foundit**.
- **Company or placement agency?** `postedByType` says if a company or a consultancy posted the job (29 of the 52 Foundit jobs were from consultancies). Filter on it.
- **Is this Foundit job real or fake?** Jobs posted on Foundit get `redFlags` with the reason: a fee or deposit asked, contact on WhatsApp or a phone number in the text, a Gmail address, "earn daily / no interview" promises, a salary range 4x wide, a hidden company name. 24 of the 52 had at least one. Skip them in one click.
- **HR and job consultancy phone numbers (paid option).** 55% of the jobs posted on Foundit carry the phone of the recruiter or placement consultancy behind them: real mobile numbers (in our test 126 different numbers, almost each used by one company), not shown on the job page. Pick **HR / recruiter phone numbers: Add** to get `recruiterName` and `recruiterPhone` (+91...) on those jobs, or **Only jobs with a recruiter phone** for an HR contact list by role and city ("hr contact number for job in Bangalore", "job consultancy contact number in Delhi"). Paid once per number in a run, however many jobs it posted. Reposts have no real phone and get none.
- **7 Foundit sites, one Actor:** India, **Gulf** (UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar...), **Singapore**, **Malaysia**, **Philippines**, **Indonesia**, **Hong Kong**.
- **Foundit's own filters:** keyword, locations, experience, minimum salary, posted within 1-30 days, work from home, jobs for women, walk-in, contract, company or consultancy, company names, **newest first**. Up to **10,000 jobs per search**, 100 per request.
- **Alerts, no copies.** Schedule it and get only jobs you have not seen; the same job under two keywords is returned once.

```json
{ "keywords": ["data entry"], "locations": ["Bangalore"], "source": "native", "skipJobsWithRedFlags": true, "postedWithin": "pastWeek" }
```

HR contact list for a role and city:

```json
{ "keywords": ["telecaller"], "locations": ["Delhi"], "recruiterContacts": "only", "postedWithin": "pastWeek" }
```

No Foundit account, no cookies. Use it as a **Foundit jobs API**: one call returns clean JSON with the fields below.

#### What you get

**One row per job.** Real examples, 1 October 2026:

| job | company | source | posted by | salary (yearly) | applicants | red flags |

Six table views: **Jobs**, **Source: Foundit or repost**, **Salary**, **Red flags & competition**, **HR phone numbers** and **Details**.

#### How it works

| Step | What happens |
|---|---|
| 1. Search | Foundit's own search for each keyword × location, 100 jobs a request, with Foundit's filters (experience, salary, posted within, job type, company or consultancy, companies). Newest first on request |
| 2. Source | Each job's original link tells if it is a LinkedIn repost, a job board repost or a company career site job, and on which platform |
| 3. Job details | For each job: its Foundit job card, for the description, company profile, views, closing date, coordinates, benefits |
| 4. Red flags and filters | Warning signs checked; source, salary, title and company filters applied. Removed jobs, copies (same title, company and place) and jobs seen by an alert are not charged |

#### FAQ

**Is Foundit real or fake?** Foundit is the real job site formerly called Monster India (Monster APAC & Middle East), owned by Quess Corp. Most of its jobs are reposts of jobs published elsewhere: on LinkedIn or on the employer's own career site. Those are as real as the original; apply through `originalJobUrl`. Jobs posted on Foundit itself come from companies and placement consultancies; most are genuine, and `redFlags` points out the signs scam guides warn about. Never pay a fee to get a job.

**Which red flags are checked?** A registration, training or joining fee or a deposit mentioned; contact on WhatsApp; a phone number in the job text; a personal email address (Gmail, Yahoo...); "earn daily", "no target", "no interview" promises; a salary range where the top is 4x the bottom or more; a hidden company name. A red flag is a reason to look closer, not a verdict: many genuine consultancies list a phone number.

**Why do reposts have no salary?** Foundit copies the job without the pay, like most LinkedIn jobs in India. Jobs posted on Foundit itself carry a salary range unless the employer hides it (`salaryHidden`); the Actor then leaves the salary empty, since Foundit's data holds only a placeholder.

**Can I scrape the Gulf, Singapore or Malaysia site?** Yes: pick the **Region**, or paste links from founditgulf.com, foundit.sg, foundit.my, foundit.com.ph, foundit.id or foundit.hk. Salaries come in the site's currency.

**Where do the recruiter phones come from?** From Foundit's own data for jobs posted on Foundit: the number the recruiter or consultancy gave with the job. Foundit does not print it on the job page, so it is a paid option, off by default. Reposts have a placeholder there; the Actor drops placeholders, repeated digits and numbers of the wrong length.

**Do I need a Foundit account?** No. No login is used and candidate profiles are not collected.

#### Use with the API and AI agents

Run it from the Apify API, the JavaScript or Python client, **n8n**, Make or Zapier, or from AI agents through the [Apify MCP server](https://mcp.apify.com) (Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor). One call: `POST https://api.apify.com/v2/acts/s_actors~foundit-jobs-scraper/run-sync-get-dataset-items` with the input above returns the jobs as JSON. Set **Description format** to "None" for smaller answers.

#### Is it legal?

The Actor reads public Foundit job listings that anyone can open without an account, as a visitor does. It does not log in or collect candidate profiles, and it leaves out salaries hidden by employers. Recruiter names and phones are personal data and come only when you ask for them: use them for business outreach about the job and follow India's DPDP Act, TRAI do-not-disturb rules for calls and SMS, GDPR and similar. Company names and job details are public; use such data according to the laws that apply to you (India's DPDP Act, GDPR and similar) and Foundit's terms.

## `titleMustMatchKeyword` (type: `boolean`):

Foundit also matches skills and descriptions: keep only jobs whose title has every word of the keyword.

## `titleInclude` (type: `array`):

Keep jobs whose title contains any of these words.

## `titleExclude` (type: `array`):

Drop jobs whose title contains any of these words, e.g. "senior", "intern".

One per line: https://www.foundit.in/srp/results?query=python\&locations=Pune, https://www.foundit.in/search/data-entry-jobs-in-mumbai, a company page https://www.foundit.in/search/infosys-limited-446110-jobs-career, or the same on founditgulf.com, foundit.sg, .my, .com.ph, .id, .hk.

## `jobUrls` (type: `array`):

Job pages, e.g. https://www.foundit.in/job/python-developer-acme-bengaluru-69325221, or bare job ids.

## `includeJobDetails` (type: `boolean`):

Description, red flags, company profile, coordinates, views, closing date, qualifications, benefits: one request per job, included in the price. Off = faster runs with the search fields only.

## `descriptionFormat` (type: `string`):

Plain text keeps paragraphs and bullet points.

## `recruiterContacts` (type: `string`):

recruiterName and recruiterPhone (+91...). Real numbers given by the recruiter with the job; reposts from LinkedIn and company sites have none. Business contacts for recruiting and staffing outreach: use them under the laws that apply to you (India's DPDP Act, TRAI do-not-disturb rules for calls and SMS, GDPR).

## `onlyNewJobs` (type: `boolean`):

Remembers the jobs of earlier runs with the same alert name and returns only new ones, newest first. Schedule the Actor hourly or daily for a Foundit job alert to Slack, email or a sheet. Jobs already seen are free.

## `monitorName` (type: `string`):

Separate memory per alert, e.g. "data-entry-wfh". Empty = "default".
