## Pricing

from $0.69 / 1,000 places

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

### Google Maps Scraper: All Details Included (Phone, Website, Reviews, Hours)

Scrape **Google Maps** places to Excel, CSV or JSON: name, category, address, **phone**, **website**, rating, **review count**, opening hours, coordinates and more, for any search and area. What sets it apart:

- **Every detail in one price: $0.89 per 1,000 places.** Name, category, address, **phone**, **website**, **rating**, **review count**, **opening hours**, coordinates, claimed or not, attributes: all on every row, no add-ons. The best-known Google Maps scraper charges $4 per 1,000 for the basic place, plus $2 per 1,000 for "additional place details" and $1 per 1,000 for filters.
- **Every place in the area, not just the first 120.** Google Maps stops listing after ~120-200 places per search. The Actor sees when a search hits that wall and splits the area into **map tiles** automatically, then keeps only the places inside your city or ZIP. Austin dentists: **200 in one search, 755 with 9 tiles**.
- **Lead filters, free.** Keep only **businesses without a website** (web design leads), **unclaimed listings** (Google Business Profile and local SEO leads), businesses with **few reviews** (new or small), **with a phone**, a **minimum rating** or only some **categories**. Places your filters remove are **not charged**; other scrapers bill a "filter" add-on or every place they read.
- **Lead signals on every row**: `no website`, `unclaimed`, `no phone`, `fewer than 10 reviews`, `rating under 4`, plus `isClaimed` and `businessStatus`.
- **New places alerts.** Schedule it and get only businesses that appeared on Google Maps since the last run: new competitors, new leads, new restaurants in town.
- **Fast, no browser.** The Actor reads the data the Google Maps app itself loads: about 1 second per 20 places.

```json
{ "searchTerms": ["plumber"], "locations": ["Austin, TX"], "maxPlacesPerSearch": 500, "website": "withoutWebsite" }
```

Use it as a **Google Maps API** alternative: one call returns clean JSON, no Google Cloud account, no API key, no billing setup.

Five table views: **Places**, **Leads**, **Location**, **Details** and **Searches**.

#### How it works

| Step | What happens |
|---|---|
| 1. Area | Each location ("Austin, TX", "10001", "London", "Bavaria") is found on Google Maps; a ZIP or postal code = its neighbourhood, not the whole city |
| 2. Search | Each search term is searched inside each area, 20 places a page, in Google's order |
| 3. Deep search | When a search lists 100+ places (Google's wall is ~120-200), the area is split into 4 map tiles, and busy tiles again, until your maximum is reached. Places outside your area are dropped |
| 4. Missing numbers | Google sometimes leaves the review count out of search pages; the Actor then reads the place's own page |
| 5. Filters | Website, claimed, phone, rating, reviews, category, closed. Removed places, duplicates (a place found by two searches) and places seen by an alert are not charged |

#### Why this Actor

| | This Actor | Typical Google Maps scraper |
|---|---|---|
| More than Google's ~120 places per search | ✅ Automatic map tiles inside your area | ⚠️ Some, with manual grid settings |
| Businesses without a website | ✅ Free filter | ⚠️ Paid filter add-on, or a separate Actor at $3.60-$15 per 1,000 |
| Unclaimed listings (`isClaimed`) | ✅ Field and filter | ⚠️ Some, as a field |
| Few reviews (new or small businesses) | ✅ Max reviews filter | ❌ |
| Lead signals on every row | ✅ | ❌ |
| Phone, website, hours, review count | ✅ Included | ⚠️ Some in a paid "details" add-on |
| New places alerts | ✅ Seen places not charged | ❌ |
| ZIP / postal code areas | ✅ The ZIP's neighbourhood | ⚠️ Often the whole city |
| Price per 1,000 places | **$0.89** | $1-$10 (leader $4 + add-ons) |

#### Pricing

Pay per event, no subscription needed. Apify Scale and Business plans pay less:

| Event | Free and Starter plans | Scale plan | Business plan |
|---|---|---|---|
| Run start | $0.001 | $0.001 | $0.001 |
| Place (all fields) | $0.00089 | $0.00079 | $0.00069 |

**1,000 places = $0.89.** Free: places removed by your filters, duplicates, places already seen by an alert. Platform usage is included. Set a maximum cost per run in the run options: the Actor stops there.

#### Ready-made tasks

| Task | What it does |
|---|---|
| [Google Maps Businesses Without a Website](https://apify.com/s_actors/google-maps-scraper/examples/google-maps-businesses-without-website) | Local businesses with no website on Google Maps, with phone and review count: web design leads |

#### Lead lists in three steps

1. Search terms = the businesses you sell to ("roofing contractor", "dentist", "restaurant"); locations = your cities or ZIP codes.
2. Pick a lead filter: **Without a website**, **Only unclaimed**, **Maximum reviews: 20**, **Only with a phone**.
3. Export the **Leads** view to Excel or Google Sheets, or send it to your CRM with Make, Zapier or **n8n**.

#### New places alerts

1. Set your search, turn on **Only new places**, give the alert a name ("new-restaurants-austin").
2. Save it as a task and add a **schedule** (daily or weekly).
3. The first run returns the current places; next runs return only places not seen before (`isNew: true`).

#### FAQ

**How many places can I get?** As many as Google Maps has in the area. One search shows ~120-200; with **Deep search** on (default) the Actor splits the area into tiles: Austin dentists 755 instead of 200. With very strict filters (no website + few reviews) it stops after a number of tiles proportional to your maximum.

**What does "unclaimed" mean?** The owner has not verified the listing with Google, so Maps shows "Claim this business". These businesses cannot answer reviews or edit their hours: the classic local SEO lead.

**Why is the review count sometimes empty?** Google leaves it out of some answers at random; the Actor asks the place page up to three times. A place with no rating has `reviewsCount: 0`.

**Can I search a whole country or state?** Yes ("Germany", "Texas"), with a high maximum: deep search then works through the area tile by tile. For a full list of one kind of business in a country, cities one per line are faster.

**Which languages and countries?** Any: set **Language** (categories and hours in that language) and **Country** (Google region, such as `de` for Germany).

**Does it scrape emails or reviews?** Not this Actor: it returns each business's website; emails and review texts are separate tools.

**Do I need a Google account or API key?** No. The Actor reads the public Google Maps pages any visitor sees.

#### Use with the API and AI agents

Run it from the Apify API, the JavaScript or Python client, **n8n**, Make or Zapier, or from AI agents through the [Apify MCP server](https://mcp.apify.com) (Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor). One call: `POST https://api.apify.com/v2/acts/s_actors~google-maps-scraper/run-sync-get-dataset-items` with the input above returns the places as JSON.

#### Is it legal?

The Actor reads public Google Maps business listings that anyone can open without an account. Business names, addresses, phones and websites are published by the businesses themselves; use them according to the laws that apply to you (GDPR, CAN-SPAM, TCPA for calls and texts) and Google's terms.

# Actor input Schema

## `searchTerms` (type: `array`):

What you would type into Google Maps, one per line: "plumber", "dentist", "coffee shop", "roofing contractor", "italian restaurant", "car dealer". Each term is searched in every location below. Without locations, write the place into the term: "dentist in Austin TX".

## `locations` (type: `array`):

City, ZIP / postal code, region or country, one per line: "Austin, TX", "10001", "London", "Bavaria, Germany", "SW1A 1AA". The Actor finds the area on Google Maps and searches inside it. Several = each term in each location.

## `maxPlacesPerSearch` (type: `integer`):

Places per search term and location. Google Maps lists ~120-200 places per search; above that the Actor splits the area into map tiles (Deep search) and keeps going: Austin dentists 200 in one search, 755 with 9 tiles. Filtered places do not count and are free.

## `deepSearch` (type: `boolean`):

When Google stops listing (its limit is ~120-200 places per search), split the area into smaller map tiles and search each, to find every place in a city. Off = one search, the places Google lists first.

## `website` (type: `string`):

Businesses without a website are the classic web design and marketing lead. Removed places are free.

## `onlyUnclaimed` (type: `boolean`):

Only listings whose owner has not claimed them on Google ("Claim this business" on Maps): leads for Google Business Profile and local SEO services. Every row has isClaimed.

## `onlyWithPhone` (type: `boolean`):

Skip places without a phone number on Google Maps.

## `minRating` (type: `number`):

Only places rated at least this (1-5). Empty = any.

## `minReviews` (type: `integer`):

Only places with at least this many Google reviews. Empty = any.

## `maxReviews` (type: `integer`):

Only places with at most this many reviews: new or small businesses that need reviews and marketing. Empty = any.

## `categoryFilter` (type: `array`):

Keep places whose Google category contains one of these words: "plumber" drops the HVAC companies and general contractors Google also lists for "plumber". Empty = all.

## `skipClosed` (type: `boolean`):

Skip places marked temporarily or permanently closed. Every row has businessStatus.

## `onlyNewPlaces` (type: `boolean`):

Remember every place returned and next time return only places not seen before (each row isNew: true). First run = everything. Places seen before are free.

## `monitorName` (type: `string`):

Separate memory for each list you track: "dentists-austin", "new-restaurants-nyc". Same name = same list.

## `searchUrls` (type: `array`):

Links copied from Google Maps after a search, such as https://www.google.com/maps/search/coffee/@30.26,-97.74,14z. The words and the map area of the link are used.

## `placeUrls` (type: `array`):

Single places: Google Maps place links, place IDs (ChIJ...), CIDs or https://maps.google.com/?cid=... links. Each becomes one row with the same fields (lead filters apply).

## `language` (type: `string`):

Language of categories, opening hours and descriptions.

## `countryCode` (type: `string`):

Two-letter country code Google uses for the results (us, gb, de, fr, in, au...). Set it to the country you search in.

## `maxConcurrency` (type: `integer`):

Google Maps pages read at once.

## `proxyConfiguration` (type: `object`):

The Actor reads Google Maps directly and switches to Apify Proxy (datacenter, then residential) only if Google starts refusing.

## `debugLog` (type: `boolean`):

Log every retry.
