## Pricing

from $0.59 / 1,000 keywords

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

### Pinterest Trends Scraper & API: Trending Keywords & Volume

Export **what people search on Pinterest right now**: the growing, top monthly, top yearly and seasonal searches of **Pinterest Trends** in **29 markets** (US, UK & Ireland, Canada, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Brazil, Mexico, India, Australia & New Zealand, the Nordics, Benelux, Eastern Europe...), for any of the **24 Pinterest interests** or only with your words. Or give your own keywords for **Pinterest keyword research**: the keyword itself, its related searches and its autocomplete searches, each with its volume.

```json
{ "countries": ["US", "GB"], "trendTypes": ["growing", "seasonal"], "maxTrends": 50 }
```

Every keyword comes with its **search index**, **weekly, monthly and yearly change**, a **breakout** flag, the **trend** (breakout / rising / flat / falling), **seasonality**, **a year of weekly history** with peak and average, the **audience** (share of women and men, age groups) and a **pin image**. No Pinterest login, no business account, no browser. Schedule it with **Only new trends** to get every new trend as an alert.

#### What you get

#### How it works

1. Choose **What to scrape**: **Trending searches** or **Keyword research**
2. Choose the **countries / markets**. Smaller countries are part of a Pinterest regional market (Austria and Switzerland are in Germany, Austria & Switzerland, Sweden in the Nordics...): pick the country, the row shows the market
3. Trending searches: choose the **trend lists** (growing, top monthly, top yearly, seasonal), optionally **interests** (Home decor, Beauty, Women's fashion, Food and drinks, Wedding, DIY and crafts... one list per interest), words the trends **must contain** or **must not contain**, and **Trends per list** (up to 100)
4. Keyword research: add your **keywords**; related and autocomplete searches are on by default
5. Run, then download the dataset as CSV, Excel, JSON or HTML. Three tabs: **Keywords**, **Trending lists**, **Keyword research**

History, audience and pin images are added to every keyword for free; turn them off for faster runs.

#### Why this Actor

| | |
|---|---|
| 🌍 **29 markets** | Every market Pinterest Trends publishes, including the regional ones: the Nordics, Benelux, Eastern Europe, Southern Europe, Latin America |
| 🔥 **4 trend lists × 24 interests** | Growing, top monthly, top yearly and seasonal trends, overall or for one Pinterest interest, filtered by your words |
| 🔎 **Keyword research in the same tool** | Your keyword, its related searches and its autocomplete (long-tail) searches, each with volume, change and history |
| 📈 **A year of history** | 53 weeks of search index per keyword, with peak week and average: plan seasonal content before it peaks |
| 👥 **Audience** | Share of women and men and the age groups searching every keyword |
| 🔔 **New-trend alerts** | `isNew` and `previousRank` on every row; **Only new trends** returns just the trends that entered a list since the previous run |

#### Get new Pinterest trends every week

1. Choose the markets, trend lists and interests and turn on **Only new trends**
2. Save as a task and add a schedule, e.g. every Monday (Pinterest updates the data every few days)
3. The **first run** returns the full lists as a baseline. **Every later run** returns only trends not seen before: send them to [Google Sheets](https://apify.com/s_actors/google-sheets-import-export), Slack or email with an integration

The memory is kept in your account (key-value store `pinterest-trends-state`). Use a different **Monitor name** for each task.

#### FAQ

**Where does the data come from?** From [Pinterest Trends](https://trends.pinterest.com), Pinterest's own public tool, as any visitor sees it, without logging in. The numbers are Pinterest's.

**Is the search index the number of searches?** No, Pinterest does not publish search counts. The index is 0-100 per keyword, where 100 is the keyword's own highest week in the period (like Google Trends). Use it to see when a keyword rises, peaks and falls. `relativeVolume` compares the keywords of one trend list with each other.

**Why are some monthly changes empty?** The keyword had no searches a month ago, so no percentage exists: `breakout` is true and the trend is `breakout`. These are the newest trends.

**How fresh is the data?** Pinterest updates Trends every few days: `dataDate` shows the date the data is current through (usually 2-4 days ago).

**Why do I get fewer keywords than I asked for?** Pinterest gives up to 100 trends per list, and fewer when you filter by interest or by words. Keyword research gives the keyword, up to 5 related and up to 10 autocomplete searches; very specific keywords may have no Pinterest Trends data (use a broader word).

**Do I need a Pinterest account?** No.
