# Walmart Restock Tracker & Online Stock Checker (`s_actors/walmart-restock-tracker`) Actor

Track Walmart restocks and prices: search or item IDs, online stock from Walmart's own offer (not marketplace resellers), order limits, UPC. Scheduled runs return only what changed: back in stock, sold out, price drops. Built for Pokémon cards and other hard-to-find items.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

### Walmart Restock Tracker: Online Stock Checker & Price Alerts

Get told **when a Walmart item is back in stock online at Walmart's own price**, not at a reseller's. Track **Pokémon cards**, LEGO, consoles, NeeDoh or anything else by keyword, walmart.com search link or item ID. Every run returns **price, online stock, seller, order limit and UPC**; scheduled runs with **Only report changes** return just **back in stock, sold out and price drops**.

Export as **JSON, CSV, Excel or HTML**, or use it as a **Walmart API**. No browser, no login, no proxy setup.

#### Why this Actor

| | |
|---|---|
| 🏪 **Walmart's own offer, not resellers** | When Walmart sells out, marketplace sellers take over the listing at 2-3x the price and it still says "in stock". This Actor reads Walmart's own offer, so `walmartInStock` means Walmart has it at retail |
| 🔔 **Only changes** | Scheduled runs return only `back_in_stock`, `out_of_stock`, `price_drop`, `price_increase` and new products. An empty result means nothing changed |
| 🔢 **Order limit and UPC** | Item checks return the shipping status, the per-order limit Walmart sets for hot items and the UPC barcode |
| 🔎 **Search or watchlist** | Search by keyword or paste a walmart.com search or category link with your filters; or check exact items by ID or link |
| 💰 **Pay per result** | About $0.04 to check 20 items; unchanged items in monitoring are free |

#### How it works

1. Choose **Search products** (keywords or walmart.com links) or **Check products** (item IDs or links)
2. Keep **Only Walmart's own offer** on to ignore marketplace resellers
3. Optional: **Only in stock**, **Maximum price** (e.g. the retail price), **Only report changes** for alerts
4. Save as a task and schedule it (every 15-60 minutes for hot items, daily for price tracking)

#### Real example: Walmart vs. resellers

September 2026, the same listings with and without **Only Walmart's own offer**:

| Item | Walmart's own offer | What the listing shows without it |
|---|---|---|
| Pokémon TCG Destined Rivals Booster Bundle (`16019713971`) | **$34.97, out of stock** | $77.42 in stock, Rares Market |
| Pokémon TCG Surging Sparks Elite Trainer Box (`10692607747`) | **$55.00, out of stock** | $143.98 in stock, a marketplace seller |
| LEGO Star Wars X-Wing 75460 (`17503966161`) | **$69.96, in stock**, limit 5 per order | same |

A search for `pokemon cards` sold by Walmart returned 306 products; 1 of the first 80 was in stock.

#### Pokémon card restocks

| Goal | Input |
|---|---|
| Alert when any Pokémon product Walmart sells is back | **Search products**, keyword `pokemon cards`, **Only report changes**, schedule every 15-30 minutes |
| Watch exact sets (ETBs, Booster Bundles) | **Check products** with their item IDs, **Only report changes** |
| Skip scalper prices | **Maximum price**: 60 |

#### Output

| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| `itemId`, `title`, `brand`, `upc`, `category` | The product (`upc` from item checks) |
| `price`, `wasPrice`, `discountPercent` | Price today, the crossed-out price and % off |
| `walmartInStock` | Walmart itself has it online now (the field alerts use with **Only Walmart's own offer**) |
| `inStockOnline`, `availability`, `shippingStatus` | Online stock of the shown offer: `IN_STOCK`, `OUT_OF_STOCK`; `shippingStatus` from item checks |
| `maxOrderQuantity` | Per-order limit for the item (item checks, when Walmart sets one) |
| `seller`, `soldByWalmart` | Who sells the shown offer |
| `isPreOrder`, `releaseDate` | Pre-orders |
| `rating`, `reviewsCount`, `image`, `url` | Listing data |
| `query`, `queryType`, `redirectedTo` | The input the row came from |
| `change`, `changes`, `previousPrice` | Monitoring only: what changed |

#### Only report changes: how monitoring works

1. Switch on **Only report changes** and pick a **Monitor name** (one per task)
2. **Save as a task and schedule it**
3. The **first run** saves stock and prices and returns everything marked `change: new`. **Every later run** returns only the differences

| `change` | When |
|---|---|
| `back_in_stock`, `out_of_stock` | Walmart has it again, or sold out (any seller when **Only Walmart's own offer** is off) |
| `price_drop`, `price_increase` | The price changed (`previousPrice` shows the old one) |
| `new_item` | A new product appeared in the search |

Send the alerts to email, Slack, Discord or [Google Sheets](https://apify.com/s_actors/google-sheets-import-export) with Apify integrations.

#### Pricing

Pay per result, no subscription:

| Event | Price |
|---|---|
| Run start | $0.002 |
| Walmart page (a search page of up to 40 products, or an item page) | $0.001 |
| Product (a returned row; rows removed by filters and unchanged rows in monitoring are free) | $0.001 |

Examples: 20 items checked = $0.042. Monitoring 20 items every 30 minutes with no changes = $0.022 per run, about $1 a day.

#### Ready-made tasks

Open one, change the keyword or items, and run:

| Task | What you get |
|---|---|
| [Walmart Pokémon Restock Tracker: Cards Back in Stock Online](https://apify.com/s_actors/walmart-restock-tracker/examples/walmart-pokemon-restock-tracker) | Only Pokémon restocks at Walmart's price |
| [Walmart Pokémon Stock Checker: ETBs and Booster Bundles](https://apify.com/s_actors/walmart-restock-tracker/examples/walmart-pokemon-stock-checker) | Newest ETBs and Booster Bundles: stock, price, order limit |
| [Walmart Back in Stock Alerts for Your Items](https://apify.com/s_actors/walmart-restock-tracker/examples/walmart-back-in-stock-alerts) | Only your items back in stock or sold out |

#### Input example

```json
{
    "mode": "products",
    "products": ["16019713971", "https://www.walmart.com/ip/Pokemon-Surging-Sparks-Elite-Trainer-Box/10692607747"],
    "onlyChanges": true,
    "monitorName": "pokemon-etb"
}
```

#### Tips and limits

- **Item ID** is the number at the end of a walmart.com link: `walmart.com/ip/.../16019713971` → `16019713971`.
- **Online stock only.** Walmart ties store pickup to your session, so this Actor does not report stock in a particular store. For per-store units use [Target store inventory](https://apify.com/s_actors/target-scraper) or [Home Depot inventory](https://apify.com/s_actors/home-depot-scraper).
- **Search pages are partial**: walmart.com loads part of each page later, so one pass finds about two thirds of a large result list (`pokemon cards`: 200 of 306). **Deep search** reads three more sort orders (234 of 306). For a complete watchlist, use **Check products** with item IDs.
- **Search links** keep their filters: pick a brand, price range or category on walmart.com and paste the address.
- US walmart.com only.

# Actor input Schema

## `mode` (type: `string`):

Search: keywords or walmart.com search links, every product with price and online stock. Check products: exact items by ID or link, with shipping stock, order limit and UPC (best for a restock watchlist).

## `keywords` (type: `array`):

Search mode: what to search on walmart.com, one per line (e.g. "pokemon cards", "lego star wars").

## `searchUrls` (type: `array`):

Search mode: walmart.com search, browse or category links with your filters (brand, price...). The page number is added automatically.

## `products` (type: `array`):

Check products mode: Walmart item IDs (the number at the end of a walmart.com/ip/ link) or the links themselves, one per line.

## `onlySoldByWalmart` (type: `boolean`):

On: only products sold by Walmart itself, at Walmart's price. When Walmart is sold out, marketplace resellers usually take over the listing at a higher price; this keeps them out, so "in stock" means Walmart has it. Off: any seller.

## `maxProductsPerSearch` (type: `integer`):

Search mode: how many products to take from each keyword or link.

## `sortBy` (type: `string`):

Search mode: order of the products, as on walmart.com.

## `deepSearch` (type: `boolean`):

Search mode: also read the results in three other sort orders to find products a single pass misses (Walmart's pages hold part of their items). About 4x the requests.

## `onlyInStock` (type: `boolean`):

Return only products available online now (from Walmart itself when "Only Walmart's own offer" is on).

## `maxPrice` (type: `integer`):

Return only products at or below this price, e.g. the retail price to skip scalper listings. Empty = any price.

## `onlyChanges` (type: `boolean`):

For scheduled runs. The first run saves stock and prices; later runs return only products that came back in stock, sold out, changed price, or are new to the search. You pay only for the changes returned.

## `monitorName` (type: `string`):

Separate monitors keep separate memory. Use a different name for each scheduled task.

## `maxConcurrency` (type: `integer`):

How many requests run at the same time.
