## Pricing

Pay per usage

This Actor is paid per platform usage. The Actor is free to use, and you only pay for the Apify platform usage, which gets cheaper the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Arbeitnow Jobs Scraper

Arbeitnow is a job board focused on Germany and the rest of Europe. Most of its jobs come straight from employers' applicant tracking systems, and the site publishes them through a free public job API.

That API returns about a week of jobs, a few hundred at a time, with no way to search. This Actor does the searching for you: tell it the words, the city and the kind of job you want, and you get back only the matching jobs, one row each, with plain English field names and a plain-text description.

### What you put in

Every setting is optional. With nothing set, you get the latest jobs.

```json
{
  "keywords": ["engineer"],
  "location": "Berlin",
  "maxItems": 20
}
```

| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| `keywords` | Keeps jobs whose title or tags contain one of your words. Case and umlauts do not matter, so `pflege` finds "Pflegefachkraft". |
| `location` | Keeps jobs whose location contains this text. German cities that appear under two names, such as Munich and München or Cologne and Köln, find each other. |
| `remoteOnly` | Keeps only jobs the employer marked as remote. |
| `employmentTypes` | Full time, part time, permanent, fixed term, contract, internship or working student. Matched against the job's own labels, which are written in English or German. |
| `postedWithinDays` | Keeps jobs posted in the last N days. |
| `visaSponsorship` | Keeps jobs that offer visa sponsorship. |
| `onlyNew` | Skips jobs that an earlier run already saved. See below. |
| `maxItems` | Stops after this many jobs. |
| `includeDescription` | Turn off if you only need titles, places and links. |
| `searchInDescription` | Also looks for your keywords in the description. |

#### Getting only new jobs

Turn on `onlyNew` and schedule the Actor, for example once a day. Each run remembers the jobs it saved, and the next run leaves them out, so your dataset only ever holds jobs you have not seen yet. The first run returns everything that matches.

If you schedule more than one search, give each its own `stateKey` (for example `berlin-engineers` and `remote-marketing`) so that they keep separate memories. The memory lives in a key-value store named `arbeitnow-jobs-state` in your own Apify account and forgets jobs older than 30 days.

### What you get

```json
{
  "id": "backend-engineer-berlin-123456",
  "title": "Backend Engineer (m/w/d)",
  "company": "Beispiel Software GmbH",
  "location": "Berlin",
  "remote": false,
  "jobTypes": ["Full time", "Permanent"],
  "tags": ["Software Development"],
  "postedAt": "2026-10-09T14:20:05+00:00",
  "url": "https://www.arbeitnow.com/jobs/companies/beispiel-software-gmbh/backend-engineer-berlin-123456",
  "description": "About us\n\nWe build software for ...",
  "source": "Arbeitnow",
  "scrapedAt": "2026-10-10T08:00:00+00:00"
}
```

- `jobTypes` and `tags` are kept exactly as the employer wrote them. The Actor does not guess a salary, a seniority level or a language that the posting does not state.
- `url` is the job's page on Arbeitnow, which is where people apply.
- `description` is plain text. E-mail addresses and phone numbers inside it are replaced with `[email removed]` and `[phone removed]`.

### Price

Free for now. You only pay Apify's usual platform usage. In our timing, the example search above (20 jobs) took about 12 seconds, and a narrow search that has to read the whole feed took a little over 3 minutes. At the default memory of 256 MB we expect that to cost well under one cent for the first and around one to two cents for the second. A per-job price may be added later. If that happens, it will be shown on this page before it applies to you.

### How it treats the source

- Arbeitnow offers the API for free and asks users not to abuse it, and its terms ask anyone who uses the API to link back to Arbeitnow. Every row therefore keeps the job's Arbeitnow link in `url` and names the source in `source`. If you publish these jobs, please keep that link. Arbeitnow's own terms of service apply to the data, so read them before you reuse the jobs in a commercial product.
- Pages are read one at a time with a two-second gap, and the Actor stops as soon as it has enough jobs. If the API asks it to slow down, it waits and tries again.

### Limits

- The feed holds about the last seven days of jobs (about 8,000 when we checked), so a search never reaches older postings.
- The feed is not sorted strictly by date. A narrow search with few matches has to read every page, which takes about three minutes.
- Location is free text written by each employer, such as "Berlin HQ" or "Hamburg or Berlin". Matching is by contained text, not by distance.
- Descriptions sometimes name the recruiter in running text. Names cannot be removed reliably by a machine and stay in the text. Contact details are removed as described above.
- Arbeitnow may change or withdraw its free API at any time.

This Actor is an independent tool. It is not made by, or affiliated with, Arbeitnow.

# Actor input Schema

## `keywords` (type: `array`):

Keep jobs whose title or tags contain one of these words, for example engineer, Pflege or marketing. Case and umlauts do not matter.

## `location` (type: `string`):

Keep jobs whose location contains this text, for example Berlin. Munich and München (and a few other German city names written both ways) find each other.

## `remoteOnly` (type: `boolean`):

Keep only jobs that the employer marked as remote.

## `employmentTypes` (type: `array`):

Keep jobs whose own job-type labels match one of these. Jobs without a label are left out when this is set.

## `postedWithinDays` (type: `integer`):

Keep jobs posted within this many days. The feed itself holds about the last week of jobs.

## `visaSponsorship` (type: `boolean`):

Ask the feed for jobs that offer visa sponsorship.

## `onlyNew` (type: `boolean`):

Remember the jobs saved by earlier runs and skip them. Useful for a daily schedule. The first run returns everything that matches.

## `stateKey` (type: `string`):

Runs with the same name share one memory of seen jobs. Use a different name for each search you schedule.

## `maxItems` (type: `integer`):

Stop after saving this many jobs.

## `includeDescription` (type: `boolean`):

The description is turned into plain text. Turn off if you only need titles, places and links.

## `searchInDescription` (type: `boolean`):

Finds more jobs, but also more loose matches.

## `requestDelayMs` (type: `integer`):

Time to wait between two pages of the feed. The feed is free, so the Actor keeps a polite pace.
