## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## LinkedIn Jobs Scraper (no login, no cookies)

Scrape LinkedIn job search results with **full job details**: title, company, location, posting date, salary (parsed into min/max/currency), applicants, seniority, employment type, industry and the full description.

Search by keywords and location, or paste any `linkedin.com/jobs/search` URL with the filters you set on the site. No LinkedIn account, cookies or browser needed.

> ⚠️ **Read before use.** This actor reads LinkedIn's public, logged-out job pages. LinkedIn's User Agreement restricts automated access, so using this actor **may break LinkedIn's terms**, and LinkedIn may block or restrict IPs or accounts linked to that use. **You are responsible for how you use this actor and the data it returns**, including complying with LinkedIn's terms and with data-protection laws (e.g. GDPR) in your jurisdiction. This actor is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by LinkedIn.

### What you can use it for

- **Job boards and aggregators**: fresh listings for any role and location.
- **Recruiting and sales intelligence**: see which companies are hiring, for what, and where.
- **Job alerts**: schedule it daily with **Only new jobs** and each run returns only postings you haven't received yet. Repeats are free.
- **Salary and labour-market research**: parsed pay ranges, seniority and industry for each job.
- **AI agents and RAG**: descriptions come as clean plain text with line breaks and bullets kept.

### Input

- **Search keywords** + **Location**: e.g. `data engineer` in `United States`. Each keyword line is a separate search.
- **LinkedIn job search URLs** (optional): paste URLs from linkedin.com/jobs/search; filters in the URL are kept.
- **Filters**: date posted (24h / week / month), job type, experience level, on-site / remote / hybrid, newest first.
- **Max jobs per search** (LinkedIn shows up to ~1,000 per search; split by location or filters for more) and **Max jobs in total**.
- **Fetch job details**: on by default. Turn off for a fast list (title, company, location, date, salary when shown).
- **Only new jobs**: remembers returned job IDs in a named key-value store in your account.

### Output

One row per job:

```json
{
  "id": "4475651276",
  "title": "Entry Level Sales Representative",
  "company": "Alleviation Enterprise LLC",
  "companyUrl": "https://www.linkedin.com/company/alleviation-enterprise-llc",
  "location": "Pocatello, ID",
  "postedAt": "2026-10-11",
  "salary": "Base pay range $64,000.00/yr - $89,000.00/yr",
  "salaryMin": 64000,
  "salaryMax": 89000,
  "salaryCurrency": "USD",
  "salaryPeriod": "year",
  "applicants": "Be among the first 25 applicants",
  "seniorityLevel": "Not Applicable",
  "employmentType": "Full-time",
  "industries": "Insurance",
  "url": "https://www.linkedin.com/jobs/view/4475651276",
  "description": "We are currently in search of an ambitious and self-disciplined individual...",
  "detailsFetched": true,
  "search": "\"sales\" in United States",
  "scrapedAt": "2026-10-20T18:45:42.641Z"
}
```

Fields LinkedIn doesn't show for a job are omitted or `null`. If a job's detail page can't be loaded after retries, the row still comes back with the search-card fields and `detailsFetched: false`.

### Code examples

Python, Node.js, cURL and an importable n8n workflow for this actor: https://github.com/SantiagoMV42/linkedin-jobs-scraper

### Speed and cost

In our tests, 500 jobs with full details took about 2 minutes. You pay per job saved. Empty searches, retries, and jobs skipped by **Only new jobs** are free, and your run's maximum cost limit is always respected.

### Tips

- LinkedIn rate-limits busy IPs. Keep **Apify Proxy** on (the default); the actor retries blocked requests on a fresh IP.
- To get more than ~1,000 jobs for a broad role, run several searches by city or state, or by experience level.
- Searches that fail don't stop the run. They're listed in the `FAILURES` record of the run's key-value store.

### Support

# Actor input Schema

## `searchQueries` (type: `array`):

One search per line, e.g. 'data engineer' or 'nurse'. Each runs with the location below.

## `location` (type: `string`):

Country, region or city, as you'd type it on LinkedIn, e.g. 'United States', 'Berlin, Germany', 'Remote'. Empty = worldwide.

## `searchUrls` (type: `array`):

Optional. Paste search URLs from linkedin.com/jobs/search (with any filters set on the site). Filters in the URL take priority over the filters below.

## `datePosted` (type: `string`):

Only jobs posted within this period.

## `jobTypes` (type: `array`):

Empty = all job types.

## `experienceLevels` (type: `array`):

Empty = all levels.

## `workplaceTypes` (type: `array`):

Empty = all.

## `sortByDate` (type: `boolean`):

Sort by date instead of relevance.

## `maxJobsPerSearch` (type: `integer`):

LinkedIn shows at most about 1,000 results per search. Split big searches by location or filters to get more.

## `maxJobs` (type: `integer`):

0 = no limit (besides the per-search limit and your max cost per run).

## `fetchDetails` (type: `boolean`):

Open each job to get the description, applicants, seniority, employment type and industry. Turn off for a faster list of titles, companies, locations and dates only.

## `descriptionFormat` (type: `string`):

How to return job descriptions (needs 'Fetch job details').

## `onlyNewJobs` (type: `boolean`):

For scheduled runs: skip jobs this actor already returned to you before (remembered in a named key-value store). Skipped jobs cost nothing.

## `stateStoreName` (type: `string`):

Named key-value store used by 'Only new jobs'. Use a different name per schedule to keep them separate.

## `maxConcurrency` (type: `integer`):

How many searches run at once.

## `proxyConfiguration` (type: `object`):

Apify Proxy is recommended; LinkedIn rate-limits busy IPs.
