## Pricing

from $4.25 / 1,000 website with contacts

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Contact Details Scraper API: Emails, Phones & Socials

Give it a list of websites, get back **one row per website** with its **emails (best one first), phone numbers, LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, X, YouTube, TikTok and other social profiles, company name and address**.

It reads only the pages that hold contacts: the home page, then contact, imprint (Impressum), about, team and legal pages. So it finds the same contacts in 1 to 5 pages that a blind crawl needs 20 for. **$5 per 1,000 websites, and you pay only for websites where contacts were found.**

### What you can use it for

- **Lead generation**: turn a list of company domains (from Google Maps, a trade show, a CRM export or a search) into emails and phone numbers.
- **Enrich a CRM or spreadsheet**: add LinkedIn company pages and social profiles to every account.
- **Influencer and partner outreach**: find the contact email and Instagram, TikTok or YouTube of every brand or creator site.
- **Local business lists**: dentists, plumbers, law firms, restaurants: their sites, their emails and phones in one table.
- **AI agents**: give an agent a contact lookup tool through the API, n8n, Make, Zapier or the Apify MCP server.

### How it compares

| | Typical contact crawler | This Actor |
|---|---|---|
| Pages read per website | up to 20 (every link, two levels deep) | 1 to 5, contact-type pages first |
| What you pay for | every page loaded | one price per website, only when contacts are found |
| Price for 1,000 websites | $2 per 1,000 pages, so up to $40 at 20 pages per site | $5 |
| Output | often one row per page | one merged row per website, best email first |
| Cloudflare-protected emails, `name [at] site [dot] com` | varies | decoded |
| Sites behind bot walls or slow to answer | error rows | residential IP, then a real Chrome, then a second pass; still free if they fail |

### How to use it

1. Paste websites into **Websites**, one per line: `example.com`, `https://www.example.com`, or a page such as `https://example.com/contact`.
2. Optional: **Max pages per website** (default 5; 1 reads the home page only). The price does not change with it.
3. Run it and download the results as JSON, CSV or Excel, or read them through the API.

#### Input example

```json
{
  "startUrls": ["apify.com", "https://www.python.org", "wordpress.org"],
  "maxPagesPerSite": 5
}
```

### Output

One item per website:

```json
{
  "primaryEmail": "hello@apify.com",
  "scrapedAt": "2026-10-05T19:16:05.839Z"
}
```

- `primaryEmail` is the address to write to first: one on the site's own domain, generic inboxes such as `info@` and `contact@` ahead of personal ones.
- `phones` come from click-to-call links and the site's structured data, so they are the site's own numbers. `phonesUncertain` are phone-shaped numbers found in the page text: usually right, but check them.
- `companyName` and `address` come from the site's structured data (schema.org) when it has it.
- `contactPageUrl` is the contact-type page where contacts were found.
- A website that does not load (domain does not exist, no answer, or a bot wall) gives a free `error` row with `error` set to `SITE_UNREACHABLE`, `TIMEOUT`, `BLOCKED`, `NOT_FOUND` or `FAILED`.

The run summary (websites delivered, with email, with phone, with social profiles, failures by reason) is saved as `OUTPUT` in the run's key-value store.

### Pricing

Pay per website, no subscription:

| Event | Price |
|---|---|
| Website with contacts (at least one email, phone or social profile) | $0.005 ($5 per 1,000 websites) |
| Actor start | $0.00005 |

Websites where nothing is found, and websites that do not load, are free. 1,000 websites cost at most $5 whatever **Max pages per website** is set to. Bronze, Silver and Gold Apify plans get 5%, 10% and 15% off. Proxies, the residential and browser fallbacks, and compute are included. Apify's free plan's $5 of monthly credit covers about 1,000 websites.

### Use it from code

#### API (cURL)

```bash
curl -X POST "https://api.apify.com/v2/acts/sauliusautomatesit~contact-details-scraper-api/run-sync-get-dataset-items?token=YOUR_TOKEN" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{"startUrls": ["apify.com", "python.org"]}'
```

#### Python

```bash
pip install apify-client
```

```python
from apify_client import ApifyClient
client = ApifyClient("YOUR_TOKEN")
run = client.actor("sauliusautomatesit/contact-details-scraper-api").call(run_input={
    "startUrls": ["apify.com", "wordpress.org", "python.org"],
})
for row in client.dataset(run.default_dataset_id).iterate_items():
    if row["type"] == "site":
        print(row["domain"], row["primaryEmail"], row["phones"][:1], row["linkedIns"][:1])
```

`run.default_dataset_id` is for `apify-client` 3.x; on 2.x write `run["defaultDatasetId"]`. Pass `max_total_charge_usd=1` to `.call()` to cap a run at $1 (about 200 websites); the run stops cleanly at the cap.

#### JavaScript

```javascript
import { ApifyClient } from 'apify-client';
const client = new ApifyClient({ token: 'YOUR_TOKEN' });
const run = await client.actor('sauliusautomatesit/contact-details-scraper-api').call({ startUrls: ['apify.com', 'python.org'] });
const { items } = await client.dataset(run.defaultDatasetId).listItems();
console.log(items.map((r) => `${r.domain} ${r.primaryEmail}`));
```

#### MCP (Claude, Cursor, any MCP client)

Add `https://mcp.apify.com/?tools=sauliusautomatesit/contact-details-scraper-api` as a remote MCP server and your agent can look up a company's contacts as a tool.

### Limits, honestly

- About 1 website in 20 still refuses automated visits after every fallback (hard Cloudflare checks); those come back as free error rows. In our 212-site test of real local business websites, 95% loaded, 92% gave at least one contact and 75% an email.
- Pages are read as plain HTML first. A headless Chrome is used only for sites behind a bot wall and for home pages that are empty until JavaScript runs, so a few sites that draw contacts with scripts deep inside the site can still be missed.
- About 1 loaded site in 5 shows no email on any page we read, most of them only a contact form; you get their phones and social profiles instead.
- It reads what the website publishes. It does not guess email patterns or look people up in other databases.
- Personal data: emails and phones of named people are personal data under GDPR and similar laws. Have a lawful reason to process them, and respect opt-outs.

### FAQ

**Do I need a list of websites?** Yes, websites or domains. Search results, a Google Maps export or a CRM export all work; duplicates are removed.

**Does it follow every link?** No. It reads the home page, then the links whose address or text says contact, imprint, about, team or legal, best first, up to **Max pages per website**. If no email turns up, it looks one level deeper for contact-type pages.

**Why was a website free?** It did not load (error row) or no email, phone or social profile was found on it.

**Can I monitor a list?** Yes. Save the input as a task and schedule it.

**Is it legal?** It collects contact details that websites publish. You are responsible for how you use them and for complying with the laws that apply to you, including anti-spam rules for cold email.

# Actor input Schema

## `startUrls` (type: `array`):

Domains or URLs, one per line: `example.com`, `https://www.example.com` or a specific page such as `https://example.com/contact`. Up to 100,000 per run. Each website gives one row.

## `maxPagesPerSite` (type: `integer`):

Most pages to load per website: the home page, then contact, imprint, about, team and legal pages, best first. The price is per website, not per page. 5 finds the contacts on almost every site; 1 reads the home page only.

## `concurrency` (type: `integer`):

How many websites are read at the same time. Each website loads up to 3 pages at once.

## `residentialFallback` (type: `boolean`):

When a website refuses or ignores datacenter IPs, load its pages once more through a residential IP. Included in the price. Turn off to skip those sites.

## `browserFallback` (type: `boolean`):

When a website still shows a bot check (Cloudflare and similar) to every plain request, open it in a headless Chrome instead. Only those sites use the browser. Included in the price. Turn off to skip those sites.

## `proxyConfiguration` (type: `object`):

Apify Proxy is used by default and is included in the price; the last try for each page goes direct. Change only if you know you need to.

## Actor input object example

```json
{
  "startUrls": [
    "apify.com",
    "https://www.python.org"
  ],
  "maxPagesPerSite": 5,
  "concurrency": 20,
  "residentialFallback": true,
  "browserFallback": true,
  "proxyConfiguration": {
    "useApifyProxy": true
  }
}
```

# Actor output Schema

## `results` (type: `string`):

One row per website: emails (best first), phones, social profiles, company name and address. Download as JSON, CSV or Excel, or read it from this API endpoint.

## `summary` (type: `string`):

Websites delivered, websites with an email, phone or social profile, failures by reason and pages charged.
