## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## EU TED Tenders API — Public Procurement Notices & Deadlines

Search EU public procurement notices on TED (Tenders Electronic Daily) by keyword, country, CPV code and publication date. Get one clean row per notice — title, buyer, CPV codes, deadline, estimated value and a link — as a table you can export to CSV, JSON or Excel, or pull via API.

Uses the **official TED Search API** (`api.ted.europa.eu`) run by the Publications Office of the European Union. No API key, no scraping, no proxies.

### What it does

- **Searches TED notices** with keywords, buyer countries, CPV codes, notice types and a publication date range
- **Understands CPV hierarchy**: searching `72000000` (IT services) also matches every sub-category
- **Accepts 2- or 3-letter country codes** (`DE` or `DEU`)
- **Returns tender essentials**: notice ID, title, buyer name and country, CPV codes, notice type, publication date, submission deadline, estimated value and currency, and a link to the notice on ted.europa.eu
- **Pages through large result sets** and keeps whatever it has already saved if a later page fails

### Use cases

- Tender alerts for bid teams and consultancies
- Market research: who buys what, where, and for how much
- Lead generation for suppliers selling to the public sector
- Procurement analytics and competitor tracking across EU member states

### Notes

- Uses the official, free TED Search API. Data is public procurement information published by the Publications Office of the European Union. TED notices may be reused for commercial or non-commercial purposes; the source is TED (https://ted.europa.eu) and the TED name and logos are not licensed for your own use. See the [TED legal notice](https://ted.europa.eu/en/legal-notice).
- Titles are shown in the language the buyer published (English where TED provides it). Estimated value is the procedure value, or the sum of lot values when they share a currency; award notices show the awarded value (`valueType: "awarded"`). Not every notice states a value or a deadline, so those fields can be `null`.
- Sorted newest first. If nothing matches, the run finishes with zero results and you pay nothing.
- Business notices name organisations, not private individuals; no personal data is collected beyond what buyers publish in the notice.
- This Actor was built and is maintained with AI assistance, with human review. Issues are answered within a few days.
