## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Flippa Scraper

Extract public business-for-sale listings from Flippa search pages. Provide a `targetInput.searchUrl` or one or more `startUrls` from `https://flippa.com/search`; search URL filters are preserved. When `targetInput.searchUrl` is explicitly empty, structured category, status, sale method, price, revenue, profit, keyword and sort fields are mapped to Flippa's search form. Verified-revenue and verified-traffic structured filters are not yet supported.

Each record is an individual listing with its source ID, title, description and link. The Actor includes asking price, monthly revenue, monthly profit, age, category, industry and seller or verification labels when displayed by the source. Amounts are preserved as displayed, including rounding. An optional bounded number of listing detail pages supplies their public metadata and structured data.

`maxItems` caps output at 50; `maxPages` and `maxDetailPages` bound requests. Source cards are stored under `SOURCE_PAGE_001` and subsequent page keys for verification. The current adapter uses direct public pages and stops on access denial; disable proxy and browser fallback. Detail requests are sequential.

Run locally with `apify run --input-file input.json`. Flippa availability, prices and markup may change.

# Actor input Schema

## `startUrls` (type: `array`):

Live public target URLs to request first. These can be replaced at run time.

## `endUrls` (type: `array`):

Optional live target boundary URLs. They are fetched after start URLs and are kept separate in output.

## `query` (type: `string`):

Target query used by a derived source URL when the actor supports query search.

## `maxItems` (type: `integer`):

Maximum number of live records to return. Production default/prefill is 50; maximum is 50. Local input.json stays capped at 10.

## `maxRequestRetries` (type: `integer`):

The direct adapter stops on request errors and does not retry.

## `requestTimeoutSecs` (type: `integer`):

Maximum time to wait for one live target request.

## `maxPages` (type: `integer`):

Maximum live listing/API pages to request, including discovered next pages.

## `crawlDetails` (type: `boolean`):

When live rows expose same-site item URLs, fetch those detail pages in bulk and attach their fields.

## `maxDetailPages` (type: `integer`):

Maximum same-site detail URLs to fetch per run.

## `detailConcurrency` (type: `integer`):

Detail requests are currently made one at a time.

## `browserFallback` (type: `boolean`):

Not supported by the current direct-page adapter; leave disabled.

## `proxyEnabled` (type: `boolean`):

Not supported by the current direct-page adapter; leave disabled.

## `targetInput` (type: `object`):

Optional source-specific fields copied from this actor input schema. URL/query values are normalized by this actor.
