## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Amazon Scraper

Scrape [Amazon.com](https://www.amazon.com) product data by ASIN or product URL: name, brand, price, rating and ratings count, stock and availability text, Prime eligibility, images, best seller rankings and the full technical details table. Turn on **Include seller offers** to also get every seller offer for the product: seller, condition, price, shipping, seller rating and the Buy Box winner.

**Free to try:** run it without any setup and get up to 50 products per run. Add your free Scrape.do API token to remove the limit.

### Why most Amazon scrapers break

Amazon sits behind AWS WAF, and it is one of the hardest sites to scrape at volume:

- **Requests are scored on IP, headers and recent activity.** A plain HTTP client or a headless browser on a datacenter IP gets a CAPTCHA page or a 503 within a few calls.
- **Prices depend on the delivery location.** Without a ZIP code you see whatever location Amazon guesses for your IP, so prices and stock jump around between runs.
- **The HTML changes all the time,** and seller offers are not on the product page at all; they load from a separate panel.

This actor calls the [Scrape.do](https://scrape.do/?utm_source=apify\&utm_medium=actor\&utm_campaign=amazon-scraper) Amazon Scraper API, which handles proxies, headers and CAPTCHAs and returns structured JSON for a US ZIP code you choose. No HTML parsing, no selectors to maintain.

### What data you get

| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| `asin`, `parentAsin` | The product's ASIN and the parent ASIN its variations share |
| `name`, `brand` | Product title and brand |
| `price`, `currency` | Current price for the ZIP code you set |
| `rating`, `totalRatings` | Average star rating and number of ratings |
| `inStock`, `availability` | Stock flag and Amazon's availability text, for example "Only 3 left in stock" |
| `isPrime` | Prime eligible |
| `thumbnail`, `images` | Main image and all gallery images |
| `bestSellerRankings` | Category ranks |
| `technicalDetails` | Every row of the technical details table |
| `url`, `zipcode`, `scrapedAt` | Product URL, the ZIP code used and when it was scraped |

With **Include seller offers** on, each item also has `offerCount`, `lowestOfferPrice`, `buyBoxSeller` and `offers` (each with `merchantName`, `condition`, `price`, `shipping`, `sellerStars`, `sellerRatings`, `sellerPositivePct`, `isFulfilledByAmazon`, `isBuyBoxWinner`).

### How to use it

1. **ASINs:** add product IDs, the 10-character code after `/dp/` in a product URL.
2. **URLs:** or paste product URLs copied from amazon.com.
3. **ZIP code:** set the US delivery ZIP code prices should be shown for (default `10001`, New York).
4. **Seller offers:** turn on **Include seller offers** for every seller's price and rating.

#### Input example

    "asins": ["B0BLRJ4R8F", "B0BN969PGL"],
    "zipcode": "10001",
    "includeOffers": true,
    "scrapeDoToken": "YOUR_SCRAPEDO_TOKEN"
}
```
    "name": "Example Basics Portable Laptop Stand, Height Adjustable, Silver",
    "brand": "Example Basics",
    "price": 29.87,
    "scrapedAt": "2026-10-28T05:00:00.000Z"
}
```

Download the results as JSON, CSV, Excel or HTML from the run's **Output** tab, or pull them through the Apify API.

### Pricing and your Scrape.do token

There is no per-result fee for this actor; Apify only bills its normal platform usage. Data comes from the Scrape.do Amazon Scraper API:

1. **Free trial, no token** – leave the **Scrape.do API token** field empty and you get up to 50 products per run.
2. **Your own Scrape.do token** – no product limit. Each product costs 1 Scrape.do credit, and **Include seller offers** adds one more. [Create a free Scrape.do account](https://scrape.do/?utm_source=apify\&utm_medium=actor\&utm_campaign=amazon-scraper) to get a token; the free plan includes 1,000 credits a month.

### Tips

- **Keep the ZIP code fixed** when you monitor prices, so changes come from Amazon and not from a different location.
- **Variations** (colors, sizes) have their own ASINs. Products that share a `parentAsin` are variations of the same listing.
- **Reviews are not included.** Since May 2026 Amazon's review pages require a login, and this actor only reads public data.
- **Prefer Python?** The same logic, plus a variation crawler and a seller offer parser for raw HTML, is available as an open-source package: `pip install amazon-scraping` ([GitHub](https://github.com/bugrahansss/amazon-scraping)). The full walkthrough is in the [Scrape.do Amazon scraping guide](https://scrape.do/blog/amazon-scraping/?utm_source=apify\&utm_medium=actor\&utm_campaign=amazon-scraper).

### FAQ

**Doesn't Amazon have an API for this?** The Product Advertising API is for Amazon Associates, requires qualifying sales to keep access and returns a limited field set. The Selling Partner API only covers a seller's own catalogue. For competitor prices, seller offers and technical details across any ASIN, the practical source is the public product page.

**Is scraping Amazon legal?** This actor collects publicly visible product data. You are responsible for following Amazon's Conditions of Use and the laws that apply to you. This is not legal advice.

**Something broke or a field is missing?** Open an issue in the Issues tab and we will look at it.

# Actor input Schema

## `asins` (type: `array`):

Amazon product IDs, the 10-character code after /dp/ in a product URL, for example B0BLRJ4R8F.

## `startUrls` (type: `array`):

Product URLs copied from amazon.com (.../dp/ASIN/...). The ASIN is read from the URL.

## `zipcode` (type: `string`):

Delivery ZIP code used for prices, stock and offers, for example 10001 (New York). Leave empty for Amazon's default location.

## `includeOffers` (type: `boolean`):

Also fetch every seller offer for each product: seller, condition, price, shipping, seller rating and Buy Box winner. Costs one extra request per product.

## `maxItems` (type: `integer`):

Stop after this many products. 0 means no limit (own token only). Free trial runs return up to 50 products.

## `maxConcurrency` (type: `integer`):

Products fetched at the same time when you use your own token. Free trial runs use 3.

## `scrapeDoToken` (type: `string`):

Optional. Leave empty for the free trial (up to 50 products per run). Add your own Scrape.do token to remove the limit: https://scrape.do/?utm_source=apify\&utm_medium=actor\&utm_campaign=amazon-scraper
