## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Twitch Scraper: Channels, Streams, Clips & VODs

Data from **Twitch** in five modes, with no login:

- **Channels:** profile, **followers**, partner or affiliate, created date, **live now** (title, viewers, category), last broadcast, and **social links** (X/Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, Discord...) from the channel's About panels. By channel name, by **keyword search**, or **everyone live in a category**.
- **Live streams:** title, **viewers**, category, language, start time, tags, the streamer's followers. In any category or site-wide, filtered by language.
- **Clips:** most-viewed clips of a channel or category in the last day, week, month or all time, with views, duration, curator and link.
- **Videos:** past broadcasts, highlights or uploads of a channel, with views, length and date.
- **Top categories:** the 100 most watched categories with viewers, live channels and followers.

No Twitch account, no API key, no proxy. $0.001 per row, no start fee.

}
```
}
```

### Example output

```json
{
  "type": "channel",
  "login": "shroud",
  "displayName": "shroud",
  "url": "https://www.twitch.tv/shroud",
  "followers": 11296039,
    "youtube": "https://www.youtube.com/shroud"
  }
}
```

### Uses

- **Influencer marketing:** streamers in your game or niche, with followers, live audience, partner status and social links
- **Esports and publishers:** who is streaming your title right now, in which languages, to how many viewers
- **Content teams:** the most-viewed clips of a game or creator to feature or analyse
- **Market research:** category popularity with the top 100 by viewers, on a schedule

### Pricing

- **$0.001** per row (channel, stream, clip, video or category)
- No start fee. A run that finds nothing is free.

### Notes

- **How much per list:** Twitch serves one page per list to logged-out visitors. That is up to 100 clips, videos, channel search results or categories, and up to 30 live streams per sort order. Live streams and live channels read three orders (most viewers, fewest viewers, most recent) per language, which gives roughly 70-90 streams per category per language. Add languages for more.
- Social links come from the links a streamer puts in their About panels; channels without panel links have none.
- Category names must match Twitch's spelling (e.g. "League of Legends", "Just Chatting").

# Actor input Schema

## `mode` (type: `string`):

Channels: by name, keyword search or who is live in a category. Live streams: in categories or site-wide. Clips: of channels or categories. Videos: of channels. Top categories: the 100 most watched.

## `channels` (type: `array`):

Channel names or URLs, e.g. shroud, twitch.tv/pokimane. Used by Channels, Clips and Videos.

## `categories` (type: `array`):

Category names exactly as on Twitch, e.g. Fortnite, Just Chatting, Chess, League of Legends. Used by Channels (who is live there), Live streams and Clips.

## `searchQueries` (type: `array`):

Keywords for Twitch's channel search, e.g. valorant, cooking, asmr. Channels mode only; up to 100 channels each.

## `languages` (type: `array`):

Two-letter codes, e.g. en, es, de, fr, pt, ja. Filters live streams and live channels; each language is read separately, so more languages return more streams.

## `minFollowers` (type: `integer`):

Optional. Drops channels and streams with fewer followers.

## `clipPeriod` (type: `string`):

Most-viewed clips from this window.

## `videoType` (type: `string`):

Which videos to list for each channel.

## `maxItems` (type: `integer`):

Stop each channel list, category or search after this many rows. Twitch returns up to 100 clips, videos or categories and about 30-90 live streams per category and language.
