## Pricing

from $3.80 / 1,000 craigslist, kijiji or karrot searches

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Marketplace Listings Scraper - Craigslist, eBay, Kijiji

**Marketplace Listings Scraper** by ScraperCompany searches **Craigslist**, **eBay**, **Kijiji** and **Karrot**. Enter keywords (or a Kijiji search URL) and get each listing's **title, price, currency, location, photo, description and link**; Kijiji adds coordinates and posted date, Karrot the seller. **eBay** results add **shipping, bids, time left, best offer, seller feedback, watchers and sold counts**, with condition, auction or Buy It Now, price range and sort filters on eight eBay sites. Pricing is pay-per-event: **$0.004 per Craigslist, Kijiji or Karrot search** and **$0.013 per eBay results page**; searches with no listings and failed requests are free.

**Nothing to set up:** no code, no login and no keys. Start a run, then export JSON, CSV or Excel, or pull the results through the Apify API. You pay only for results; failed and empty requests are free.

### What can this Craigslist and eBay scraper do?

- **Four marketplaces** in one Actor: Craigslist, eBay, Kijiji and Karrot.
- **Up to 400 Craigslist listings per search** for one charge.
- **eBay filters**: site (US, UK, DE, AU, CA, FR, IT, ES), condition, auction or Buy It Now, price range, sort.
- **Price, location, photo and link** on every listing.
- Batch many searches per run, or mix marketplaces with custom requests.

#### Modes

| Mode | What it returns | Price per request |
| --- | --- | --- |
| `craigslist` | Craigslist listings for keywords in one city: title, price, location, photo, description and link | $0.004 |
| `kijiji` | Kijiji (Canada) listings from a search URL: title, price, location, coordinates, posted date, photo and link | $0.004 |
| `karrot` | Karrot second-hand listings for keywords in a region: title, price, location, seller, photo and link | $0.004 |
| `ebay` | eBay listings for keywords: price, shipping, bids, time left, condition filters, seller feedback, watchers, sold count and link | $0.013 |

### What makes it different?

| | **Marketplace Listings Scraper** | Many alternatives |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Setup | Nothing to configure: no login, no keys | Often your own accounts, cookies or network setup |
| You pay for | Successful results; failed and empty requests are free | Often run time, or every attempt |
| When a site pushes back | Retried and handled for you | Often an empty or failed run |

### Who uses Craigslist and eBay data?

- **Resellers and flippers**: Watch Craigslist, Kijiji and Karrot for underpriced items and compare them with eBay prices.
- **Price researchers**: Track second-hand and auction prices for a product across marketplaces and countries.
- **Lead generation**: Collect local sellers and listings for a category, city or region.

### What Craigslist and eBay data can you extract?

| Field | Description |
| --- | --- |
| `listings[].title / price / currency` | Listing and asking price |
| `listings[].location / photo / url` | Where, picture and link |
| `listings[].description` | Listing text (Craigslist, Kijiji, Karrot) |
| `listings[].latitude / longitude / posted_at` | Coordinates and date (Kijiji) |
| `listings[].shipping_cost / bids / time_left / sold / watchers` | Auction and shipping details (eBay) |
| `listings[].seller / seller_feedback_percent` | Seller (eBay, Karrot) |

Every dataset item also carries `input` (the options used for that request), `request_id` (quote it to support), `billed` and `scraped_at`.

### How to scrape marketplace listings

1. Open Marketplace Listings Scraper in Apify Console and go to the **Input** tab.
2. Pick a **Marketplace** and enter **Searches** (keywords, or Kijiji search URLs). For Craigslist set the **city** subdomain; for eBay pick the site and filters.
3. Adjust the options if needed.
4. Click **Start** and wait for the run to finish.
5. Download the results from the **Output** tab as JSON, CSV, Excel or HTML, or fetch them with the Apify API.

### Input

| Input | Name | What it does |
| --- | --- | --- |
| `site` | Marketplace | The marketplace to search. Each line of Searches is one request. |
| `searches` | Searches | One per line. Craigslist, Karrot, eBay: keywords (`bike`, `nintendo switch 2`). |
| `limit` | Listings per search | Most listings per search: Craigslist up to 400, Kijiji 100, Karrot 60; a larger value is lowered to the site's maximum. |
| `craigslist_city` | Craigslist city | .g. `newyork`, `sfbay`, `chicago`, `london` (Craigslist). |
| `karrot_region` | Karrot region | .g. `ca` (Canada), `uk`, `us` (Karrot). |
| `ebay_market` | eBay site | Which eBay site; prices are in its currency (eBay). |
| `ebay_sort` | eBay sort | Result order (eBay). |
| `ebay_condition` | eBay condition | Only new or only used items. Leave empty for both (eBay). |
| `ebay_buying_format` | eBay buying format | Only auctions or only Buy It Now. Leave empty for both (eBay). |
| `min_price` | eBay minimum price | Lowest price, in the site's currency (eBay). |
| `max_price` | eBay maximum price | Highest price, in the site's currency (eBay). |
| `ebay_page` | eBay page | Results page; each page is one charge (eBay). |

### Input example

This is the default input; running the Actor without changes uses it.

```json
{
  "site": "craigslist",
  "searches": [
    "bike"
  ],
  "craigslist_city": "newyork",
  "includeErrors": true,
  "maxConcurrency": 3,
  "maxRetries": 2
}
```

### Output example

One dataset item per request (trimmed here; real items contain all the fields):

```json
{
  "site": "craigslist",
  "input": {
    "city": "newyork",
    "query": "bike",
    "limit": 100
  },
  "listings": [
    {
      "currency": "USD",
      "description": null,
      "id": "iHRAyxVtfScQUpm2w9iEEW",
      "location": "Brooklyn",
      "photo": null,
      "price": 200,
      "title": "State Track Bike 52cm Small",
      "url": "https://www.craigslist.org/view/d/brooklyn-state-track-bike-52cm-small/iHRAyxVtfScQUpm2w9iEEW"
    }
  ],
  "search_parameters": {
    "city": "newyork",
    "limit": 100,
    "query": "bike"
  },
  "total": 1,
  "url": "https://newyork.craigslist.org/search/sss?query=bike",
  "request_id": "req_3f9c0d6e2b8a4c1f9e7d5b3a1c0e8f6d",
  "billed": true,
  "scraped_at": "2026-10-01T14:03:27.512Z"
}
```

A request that fails is saved with an `error` message instead (turn off **Include failed requests** to skip those). Failed requests are never charged.

### How much does it cost to scrape marketplace listings?

This Actor uses **pay-per-event** pricing: you pay for successful requests, not for compute time.

| Event | Charged when | Price | Per 1,000 |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| `search-page` | One search of Craigslist (up to 400 listings), Kijiji (up to 100) or Karrot (up to 60). No listings is free. | $0.004 | $4.00 |
| `ebay-search-page` | One page of eBay search results (about 60 listings). No listings is free. | $0.013 | $13.00 |

Paid Apify plans pay less: `search-page` up to 5% off (on every paid plan). The Pricing tab shows the price on your plan.

**What a real run costs:**

- 100 requests: **$0.40**
- 1,000 requests: **$4.00**
- 10,000 requests: **$40.00**

Apify's $5 of free monthly usage covers about **1,250** `search-page` events.

- Failed requests (errors, invalid input, a site refusing after retries) are **free**.
- Requests where the source returns nothing at all (no results, nothing priced) are saved but **not charged**.
- Set **Maximum cost per run** when you start a run and the Actor stops cleanly before going over it.

### Run it on a schedule

Use Apify **Schedules** to repeat a run hourly, daily or weekly and compare results over time, and **webhooks** or the **Integrations** tab to push new results to Make, Zapier, n8n, Google Sheets, Slack or your own warehouse.

### Use it with AI agents

Results are structured JSON, so they are easy to feed to a model. AI agents such as Claude can run this Actor and read its results through the [Apify MCP server](https://mcp.apify.com).

### FAQ

#### Do I need an account on the site, or an API key?

No. The Actor is ready to run as is, and you only pay the per-event prices above.

#### Which Craigslist cities work?

Any Craigslist site: enter its subdomain, the part before <code>.craigslist.org</code>, e.g. <code>newyork</code>, <code>sfbay</code>, <code>toronto</code> or <code>london</code>.

#### What do I enter for Kijiji?

A Kijiji search URL: search on kijiji.ca with your keywords, category and location, then copy the address.

#### How many listings per search?

Craigslist up to 400, Kijiji up to 100, Karrot up to 60, and one eBay page (about 60). Each search is one charge.

#### Does it return sold eBay items?

It returns active listings; the sold field is how many units a listing has already sold.

#### Is it legal to scrape marketplace listings?

The Actor collects publicly available information that anyone can see without logging in. You are responsible for how you use the results: respect the source site's terms, copyright and privacy law (such as GDPR) and do not collect personal data without a lawful basis. If in doubt, ask a lawyer.

#### What happens when a request is blocked or rate-limited?

Temporary errors are retried automatically. If a request still fails it is saved with the error message and not charged, and the rest of the batch keeps going. A run only fails when every request failed.

#### Why did a request return an error?

Read the `error` field: it says what was wrong with the input, for example a malformed date or an unknown id. Fix it and run again; failed requests cost nothing.

#### How many requests can I run at once?

Any number per run. The Actor sends up to 3 requests in parallel by default (change it under **Run options**); larger batches simply take longer.

### Use it from your code

Call the Actor from any language through the [Apify API](https://docs.apify.com/api/v2). With the JavaScript client (`npm install apify-client`):

```javascript
import { ApifyClient } from 'apify-client';
const client = new ApifyClient({ token: process.env.APIFY_TOKEN });
const run = await client.actor('scrapercompany/marketplace-listings-scraper').call({
    "site": "craigslist",
    "searches": [
        "bike"
    ]
});
const { items } = await client.dataset(run.defaultDatasetId).listItems();
console.log(items);
```

With Python (`pip install apify-client`):

```python
import os
from apify_client import ApifyClient
client = ApifyClient(os.environ["APIFY_TOKEN"])
run = client.actor("scrapercompany/marketplace-listings-scraper").call(run_input={
    "site": "craigslist",
    "searches": ["bike"],
})
for item in client.dataset(run["defaultDatasetId"]).iterate_items():
    print(item)
```

# Actor input Schema

## `site` (type: `string`):

The marketplace to search. Each line of Searches is one request.

## `searches` (type: `array`):

One per line. <b>Craigslist, Karrot, eBay</b>: keywords (<code>bike</code>, <code>nintendo switch 2</code>). <b>Kijiji</b>: a Kijiji search URL (<code>https://www.kijiji.ca/b-for-sale/canada/bike/k0c10l0</code>).

## `limit` (type: `integer`):

Most listings per search: Craigslist up to 400, Kijiji 100, Karrot 60; a larger value is lowered to the site's maximum. eBay always returns one page (about 60). Leave empty for the site's default (Craigslist 400, Kijiji 40, Karrot 60). One search is one charge whatever the number.

## `craigslist_city` (type: `string`):

The city's Craigslist subdomain, e.g. <code>newyork</code>, <code>sfbay</code>, <code>chicago</code>, <code>london</code> (Craigslist).

## `karrot_region` (type: `string`):

Karrot region code, e.g. <code>ca</code> (Canada), <code>uk</code>, <code>us</code> (Karrot).

## `ebay_market` (type: `string`):

Which eBay site; prices are in its currency (eBay).

## `ebay_sort` (type: `string`):

Result order (eBay).

## `ebay_condition` (type: `string`):

Only new or only used items. Leave empty for both (eBay).

## `ebay_buying_format` (type: `string`):

Only auctions or only Buy It Now. Leave empty for both (eBay).

## `min_price` (type: `number`):

Lowest price, in the site's currency (eBay).

## `max_price` (type: `number`):

Highest price, in the site's currency (eBay).

## `ebay_page` (type: `integer`):

Results page; each page is one charge (eBay).

## `customRequests` (type: `array`):

Optional list of JSON objects, one request each, using the field names shown above. Each object is merged over the options above, so you only need to give what differs. Use <code>"site"</code> (craigslist, kijiji, karrot, ebay) to pick the marketplace per object, with its API fields. Example: <code>{"site":"ebay","q":"vintage rolex","buying_format":"auction","sort":"ending_soonest"}</code>

## `includeErrors` (type: `boolean`):

When on, a request that fails (for example an unknown property id) is saved as a dataset item with an <code>error</code> message so you can see what went wrong. Failed requests are never charged.

## `maxConcurrency` (type: `integer`):

How many requests run at the same time (1-8). Parallel runs share one limit, so extra requests wait for a free slot instead of failing.

## `maxRetries` (type: `integer`):

How many times a request that failed for a temporary reason is tried again. Invalid input is never retried.
