## Pricing

from $7.56 / 1,000 results

## What's an Apify Actor?

Actors are web data automations that power AI and operations. They run on the Apify platform to scrape websites, process data, connect APIs, and automate workflows.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.
Actors are written with capital "A".

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.
The best way to integrate Actors is as follows.

- **AI agents and MCP clients** — the [Apify MCP server](https://docs.apify.com/integrations/mcp.md) at `https://mcp.apify.com` (remote, streamable HTTP, OAuth on first use).
- **Agentic workflows and local Actor development** — [Agent Skills](https://apify.com/.well-known/agent-skills/index.json) with the [Apify CLI](https://docs.apify.com/cli/docs.md): `npm install -g apify-cli`, then `apify login`.
- **JavaScript/TypeScript projects** — the official [JS/TS client](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md): `npm install apify-client`.
- **Python projects** — the official [Python client](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md): `pip install apify-client`.
- **Any other language** — the [REST API](https://docs.apify.com/api/v2.md).

For usage examples, see the [API](#api) section below.

For more details, see Apify documentation as [Markdown index](https://docs.apify.com/llms.txt) and [Markdown full-text](https://docs.apify.com/llms-full.txt).

The most complete NBA scraper available. It returns every field the public NBA data feed exposes for scores, standings, teams and rosters, plus derived fields such as per-competitor points, rebounds and assists leaders, home and away box score splits, and an optional AI matchup summary, and gives you four modes with team and date filters to target exactly the records you need.

### What it does

This actor pulls live and historical NBA data in four modes:

- **Scores**: one record per game for any date. Matchup, scores, live status and clock, home and away season records, venue and attendance, broadcast networks, betting line when posted, and the points, rebounds and assists leaders for each team. Optional per-game team box score and an optional AI matchup summary.
- **Standings**: one record per team with conference, division, playoff seed, wins, losses, win percentage, games behind, current streak, points for and against per game, point differential, and home, away, last ten, division and conference splits.
- **Teams**: one record per team (all 30) with location, nickname, colors, logo, home arena, and current standing summary.
- **Roster**: one record per player for a chosen team with jersey number, position, height, weight, age, birthplace, college, years of experience, salary when available, and headshot.

It is built for NBA fans, sports betting and fantasy tools, media sites, and app developers who need clean, structured NBA data without maintaining a scraper.

### Run via API and CLI

Start a run with the Apify API:

```bash
curl -X POST "https://api.apify.com/v2/acts/scrapers_lat~nba-scores-standings-scraper/runs?token=YOUR_TOKEN" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{"mode":"scores","date":"2026-04-05","maxResults":20}'
```

Run with the Apify CLI:

```bash
apify call scrapers_lat/nba-scores-standings-scraper \
  --input '{"mode":"standings","maxResults":30}'
```

### Fetch results

Download the dataset items in JSON, CSV or Excel:

```bash
curl "https://api.apify.com/v2/datasets/DATASET_ID/items?format=csv" -o nba.csv
```

The run response includes `defaultDatasetId`. Add `&format=json`, `&format=csv` or `&format=xlsx`.

### Billing and limits

- **Pay per result.** You are charged per record returned. Empty runs (for example a date with no games) return nothing and are not charged for results.
- **Events.** `result` (one game, standing, team or player), plus optional `game_boxscore` (per-game team box score) and `ai_matchup_summary` (per-game AI summary). Add-ons are opt-in, off by default, and available on paid plans only.
- **No charge on failure.** A record is only billed when real data is produced. Box score and AI events are billed only when they actually return content.
- **Free plan cap.** Free Apify accounts return up to 10 records per run. Paid accounts can raise `maxResults`.
- **Spend cap.** The actor respects your run `maxTotalChargeUsd` and stops emitting billable records once the limit is reached.

### FAQ and troubleshooting

**No records came back for my date.** That date had no scheduled games. Try a date during the season, for example a regular season or playoff day.

**Which team abbreviations work?** Standard NBA abbreviations such as LAL, BOS, GSW, DEN, OKC. You can also pass a numeric `teamId`.

**Are salaries always present?** Salary is included when the source exposes it; otherwise it is null.

**Is betting data always included?** The spread, over/under and moneyline are included when a sportsbook line is posted for a game, otherwise they are null.

**How fresh is the data?** Scores reflect live game state including the current period and clock. Standings and rosters reflect the current season.
