Singapore's National Environment Agency (NEA) grades licensed eating establishments on food hygiene. The grade reflects the premises' compliance with food safety and cleanliness standards:

- **A**: highest standard of hygiene
- **B**: good
- **C**: average
- **D**: lowest passing standard

The grade in this dataset is the official NEA grade published for each licensed premises.
