## Pricing

from $4.00 / 1,000 listings

This Actor is paid per event and usage. You are charged both the fixed price for specific events and for Apify platform usage.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Auto Trader UK Used Car Scraper and API

Extract genuine Auto Trader UK car listings with advertised cash prices in GBP, make, model, year, condition, photos and source links. Compare vehicle prices and market supply, export JSON, CSV or Excel, and integrate the Apify API into your own analysis.

### Examples

```json
{"term":"bmw","maxItems":3}
```

For several searches use `{"searchTerms":["bmw","audi a3"],"maxPages":2}`. `searchTerms` replaces `term`. This is the site's keyword search, not an exact make-only filter. Related matches and promoted real listings may appear. Display ads and non-vehicle campaign cards are not delivered as cars.

### Data and pricing meaning

Fields include `listing_id`, `title`, `subtitle`, `source_url`, `price`, `price_status`, `price_text`, `currency`, `make`, `model`, `model_year`, `condition`, `location_text`, `seller_type`, `listing_type` and `image_url`, plus search, country, page, rank and extraction time.

Cash search mode is verified. The GBP price text is reconciled with the source's numerical advert price. Hidden prices remain null. Monthly finance instalments are not substituted for vehicle prices. Model year is the source's year field, not an inferred registration date. Seller names, contact details, registrations, VINs and exact seller addresses are not exported. Photos use the source's public image-size format.

The UK-wide source search uses a fixed public demonstration postcode only as a distance reference; it does not impose a distance-radius filter. `location_text` is the source's approximate locality/distance display relative to that reference, not the customer's location. No customer postcode, cookies or technical configuration is required.

### Pagination and reliability

No hidden fixed result or page cap. `maxItems` limits all searches together and `maxPages` applies to each search. The default runtime budget is 240 seconds, adjustable up to 7200. The source's actual search windows and Apify spending limits still apply. Results are delivered progressively with shared deduplication; earlier pages remain available if later pages fail.

Verified empty searches return `no_results` without billable rows. Source errors and blocks are not presented as empty searches. Inspect `RUN_SUMMARY` and `DIAGNOSTICS` for completion, interruptions and errors. Public application configuration is refreshed automatically and HTTP/proxy connections are managed without customer setup.

USD 0.004 per genuine unique vehicle listing delivered, plus customer-paid Apify consumption. No charge for duplicates, summaries, errors or display ads. This candidate remains private; commercial pricing will be activated and checked only after explicit publication approval.

Independent tool, not affiliated with Auto Trader. No guarantee of exhaustive inventory, vehicle availability, financial suitability or future source access. Respect applicable source terms and data-use rules.
