## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## EU Public Tenders (TED): Open Tenders and Contract Awards

Search public tenders from every EU country, plus Norway, Switzerland and other countries that publish on **TED (Tenders Electronic Daily)**, the EU's official journal for public procurement. Get open calls for tenders with their deadlines and estimated values, or contract awards with the winners and the amounts. Filter by keywords, buyer country and CPV category.

It uses TED's official, public Search API. No login or key is needed, and it doesn't scrape the website.

### Who it's for

- **Bid teams and consultancies** looking for new tenders in their field every morning.
- **Sales teams** tracking which public bodies are buying what they sell, and who wins.
- **Researchers and journalists** studying public spending across Europe.
- **AI agents** answering "open public tenders for software in Germany" in the middle of a task. Inputs are one line and outputs are small.

### Input

| Field | What it does |
|---|---|
| **Keywords** | Words that must all appear, in any EU language, e.g. `software`. Put a phrase in quotes to match it exactly |
| **Buyer countries** | Codes (`DE`, `FRA`) or English names (`Germany`). Empty means all |
| **CPV categories** | EU procurement codes, 2 to 8 digits. Each includes everything under it: `72` is all IT services, `45` construction, `33` medical equipment, `79` business services |
| **Notices** | *Open tenders* (deadline still ahead, the default), *All contract notices*, *Contract awards*, *Planning notices* or *Everything* |
| **Published in the last N days** | 0 means any time |
| **Max results** | Newest first, up to 1,000 (default 20) |

Examples:

```json
{ "keywords": "software", "countries": ["DE", "AT"], "cpvCodes": ["72"] }
```

```json
{ "countries": ["France"], "noticeType": "awards", "cpvCodes": ["45"], "days": 30, "maxItems": 200 }
```

### Output

One row per notice. A real open tender (description shortened):

```json
{
  "noticeId": "719946-2026",
  "type": "competition",
  "noticeType": "cn-standard",
  "publishedAt": "2026-10-19",
  "title": "Germany – IT services: consulting, software development, Internet and support – App zur Unterstützung eines gesunden Lebensstils von erwachsenen Versicherten mit Adipositas",
  "titleOriginal": "App zur Unterstützung eines gesunden Lebensstils von erwachsenen Versicherten mit Adipositas",
  "description": "Gegenstand der Beschaffung sind Lizenzen für eine App zur digitalen Unterstützung von erwachsenen Menschen mit Adipositas ...",
  "buyer": "DAK-Gesundheit",
  "buyerCountry": "DEU",
  "buyerCity": "Hamburg",
  "contractType": "services",
  "procedure": "open",
  "cpvCodes": ["72000000", "48000000", "72416000"],
  "placeOfPerformance": ["anyw-eea"],
  "tenderDeadline": "2026-11-17T12:00:00+01:00",
  "estimatedValue": null,
  "estimatedCurrency": null,
  "awardedValue": null,
  "awardedCurrency": null,
  "winners": [],
  "documentsUrl": "https://www.dtvp.de/Satellite/notice/CXS0YRXDYR2LCB3H/documents",
  "noticeUrl": "https://ted.europa.eu/en/notice/-/detail/719946-2026",
  "pdfUrl": "https://ted.europa.eu/en/notice/719946-2026/pdf",
  "scrapedAt": "2026-10-19T12:00:00Z"
}
```

An award notice has `type` set to `result`, plus `awardedValue`, `awardedCurrency` and `winners` (for example `128356`, `EUR`, `["PEPINS PRODUCTION LA PEPINIERE DE QUARTIER"]`).

### Pricing

Pay per result: **$2.00 per 1,000 notices**. You can set a spending limit on any run, and the run stops cleanly when it's reached.

### Good to know

- **Titles come in English** ("Germany – IT services – ..."), followed by the buyer's own title. `titleOriginal` and `description` are in the buyer's language.
- **Values are what the notice states.** Many tenders don't publish an estimate, and then the field is `null`.
- **No personal contact data.** We don't return contact names, emails or phone numbers, and we remove any that appear in descriptions.
- **TED covers tenders above the EU thresholds** (roughly €140,000 for central-government supplies and services, €5.4 million for works) and some smaller ones that buyers choose to publish.
