## Exchange Rates Scraper - Live & Historical FX

Get **live and historical foreign-exchange rates** for **30+ currencies** (European Central Bank
reference rates) as clean rows: one row per **base-to-target** pair with the **rate**, **inverse rate**
and **date**. Fetch the **latest** rates, a **single past date**, or a **full time series** over a range.
No key, no browser.

### What you get per rate

- **Mode** - `latest`, `historical` (a single `date`), or `timeseries` (`dateFrom`..`dateTo`).
- **Base currencies** - 3-letter ISO codes to convert from (defaults to USD). **Target currencies** -
  codes to convert to (empty = all available). **Output fields** trim every record.

Leave everything empty and the run returns USD latest rates for every currency.

### Reliability

Reads the [Frankfurter API](https://frankfurter.dev/) (ECB reference rates, with history) plus an
[exchangerate-api](https://www.exchangerate-api.com/) fallback for latest - both public, keyless, no
anti-bot. A run with no valid currencies bills **$0**.

### Honest limits

- **ECB reference rates cover ~30 major currencies** (USD, EUR, GBP, JPY, CHF, CNY, and more) and are
  published on **business days only** - weekends/holidays carry the previous business day's rate, and
  exotic or crypto currencies are not included. That is the ECB dataset, not a scraping gap.
- **Rates are daily reference rates**, not live intraday tick data - for trading feeds use a markets source.

time series produces many rows. Only saved rates are billed.
