## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Airbnb Reviews Scraper

Scrape **all guest reviews of any Airbnb listing** as clean structured JSON - star rating, the review text as written and its language, Airbnb's translation into the language you choose, ISO date, stay detail ("Stayed a few nights", "Group trip"), review photos, reviewer name, photo, home town or Airbnb tenure and profile link, and the host's response with its translation. Each listing also gets a summary: title, room and property type, city, host, overall and category ratings (accuracy, cleanliness, check-in, communication, location, value), rating distribution, review count and the review tags guests mention most. No Airbnb account, no API key, no proxies to configure.

### Features

- **Every review, not only the few on the room page** - up to 5000 reviews per listing, 50 per request.
- **Any listing input** - a room URL on any Airbnb domain (airbnb.com, airbnb.co.uk, airbnb.de ...) or the numeric listing id.
- **Sort** - most recent, Airbnb's own order (most relevant), highest rated, lowest rated.
- **Translations** - every review comes with its original text and language plus Airbnb's translation into the language you pick (en, de, fr, es, pt-BR ...).
- **Date filter** - only reviews written since a given date; with Most recent, paging stops at the first older review, so monitoring runs are fast.
- **Listing summary** - the `LISTINGS` record with title, type, city, host and superhost status, overall and category ratings, rating distribution, guest favorite flag and review tags with counts.
- **Deduplicated** - the same listing given twice (URL and id) is collected once.

### Use cases

- **Host and property-manager monitoring** - a scheduled run with `since` delivers every new review of your listings.
- **Competitor research** - what guests praise and complain about at competing listings in your area.
- **Short-term rental investment** - review volume, ratings and sentiment as a signal for a market.
- **Sentiment and LLM pipelines** - original and translated text side by side, ready for analysis.

### Input

| Field | Type | Default | Description |
|-------|------|---------|-------------|
| `rooms` | array | example Copenhagen listing | Airbnb room URLs or listing ids. |
| `maxReviewsPerListing` | integer | `50` | Reviews per listing (1-5000). |
| `sort` | string | `most_recent` | `most_recent`, `most_relevant`, `highest_rated`, `lowest_rated`. |
| `translateTo` | string | `en` | Language for `translatedText` (en, de, fr, es, pt-BR ...). |
| `since` | string | - | Only reviews written on or after this date (YYYY-MM-DD). |
| `includeListingDetails` | boolean | `true` | Listing summary in the `LISTINGS` record and `listingTitle`. |

#### Example input

```json
{
  "rooms": [
    "https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/38516061",
    "802052"
  ],
  "maxReviewsPerListing": 1000,
  "sort": "most_recent",
  "translateTo": "en",
  "since": "2026-01-01"
}
```

### Output

One dataset item per review:

```json
{
  "listingId": "38516061",
  "listingUrl": "https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/38516061",
  "listingTitle": "Very cozy City Apartment. Harbour bath 200m",
  "id": "1773181435842202075",
  "rating": 5,
  "text": "Eine wirklich schöne, gemütliche Wohnung in günstiger Lage, in der nichts fehlt. ...",
  "language": "de",
  "translatedText": "A really nice, cozy apartment in a convenient location where nothing is missing. ...",
  "date": "2026-09-12T12:34:59Z",
  "localizedDate": "3 weeks ago",
  "stayDetail": "Stayed a few nights",
  "stayDetailType": "LENGTH_OF_STAY",
  "roomTypeTitle": null,
  "photos": [],
  "reviewerId": "1975547",
  "reviewerName": "Georg",
  "reviewerPhoto": "https://a0.muscache.com/im/users/1975547/profile_pic/1332267148/original.jpg",
  "reviewerLocation": null,
  "reviewerTenure": "15 years on Airbnb",
  "reviewerProfileUrl": "https://www.airbnb.com/users/profile/1492078186855279723",
  "reviewerIsSuperhost": false,
  "hostResponseText": null,
  "hostResponseTranslatedText": null,
  "hostResponseDate": null,
  "roomInput": "https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/38516061"
}
```

The key-value store also holds:

- `LISTINGS` - per listing: title, room and property type, city, country, host, overall and category ratings, rating distribution, review count, guest favorite flag, review tags, the reviews collected and any warnings.
- `ERRORS` - listings that returned no reviews (removed or private listing, no reviews yet, blocked) with the reason. These are **not billed**.

### Pricing

**$1 per 1000 reviews.** You pay only for reviews delivered; failed listings are not charged.

### Notes

- `text` is always the review as the guest wrote it; `translatedText` is Airbnb's machine translation into `translateTo` (null when the review is already in that language).
- Listing titles and the listing summary come in the `translateTo` language when Airbnb has a translation.
- `reviewerLocation` is the guest's home town when they show one; otherwise `reviewerTenure` says how long they have been on Airbnb.

# Actor input Schema

## `rooms` (type: `array`):

Airbnb listings to collect reviews for: a room URL on any Airbnb domain (https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/38516061, https://www.airbnb.co.uk/rooms/...) or the numeric listing id (38516061).

## `maxReviewsPerListing` (type: `integer`):

How many reviews to collect for each listing (1-5000). Airbnb serves 50 reviews per request, so even large numbers take only a few seconds per listing.

## `sort` (type: `string`):

The order Airbnb lists the reviews in.

## `translateTo` (type: `string`):

Language code Airbnb translates reviews and host responses into, e.g. en, de, fr, es, it, pt-BR. The original text and its language are always returned too.

## `since` (type: `string`):

Optional. Only reviews written on or after this date (YYYY-MM-DD). With 'Most recent' paging stops at the first older review, which makes monitoring runs fast.

## `includeListingDetails` (type: `boolean`):

Also read each listing's summary - title, overall and category ratings, rating distribution, review tags, host - into the LISTINGS record and the listingTitle column. You still pay per review only.

}
```
# Actor output Schema
