## What's an Apify Actor?

Actors are web data automations that power AI and operations. They run on the Apify platform to scrape websites, process data, connect APIs, and automate workflows.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.
Actors are written with capital "A".

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.
The best way to integrate Actors is as follows.

- **AI agents and MCP clients** — the [Apify MCP server](https://docs.apify.com/integrations/mcp.md) at `https://mcp.apify.com` (remote, streamable HTTP, OAuth on first use).
- **Agentic workflows and local Actor development** — [Agent Skills](https://apify.com/.well-known/agent-skills/index.json) with the [Apify CLI](https://docs.apify.com/cli/docs.md): `npm install -g apify-cli`, then `apify login`.
- **JavaScript/TypeScript projects** — the official [JS/TS client](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md): `npm install apify-client`.
- **Python projects** — the official [Python client](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md): `pip install apify-client`.
- **Any other language** — the [REST API](https://docs.apify.com/api/v2.md).

For usage examples, see the [API](#api) section below.

# README

## Amazon Search Scraper

Scrape **Amazon search results** from any of **20 regional marketplaces** as clean JSON - with automatic pagination and every product field you need for price tracking and market research. No Amazon PA-API keys, approval or quota.

Powered by [ScrapeUnblocker](https://scrapeunblocker.com)'s anti-bot bypass - no proxies or CAPTCHA setup.

### What you get per product

- **ASIN**, title and a clean product **URL**
- **Price**, **currency** and the raw price text, plus **list price** (strike-through)
- **Rating** (stars) and **review count**
- **Prime** eligibility and a **sponsored** flag
- **Image** URL and the product's **position** in the results

### Features

- **20 marketplaces** - amazon.com, .co.uk, .de, .fr, .co.jp, .in, .com.au and more, each in its own currency.
- **Automatic pagination** - set `max_results` and it pages through Amazon until it collects that many.
- **Sorting & price filters** - featured, price low/high, avg. review or newest; plus min/max price.
- **Resilient** - retries Amazon's intermittent bot wall across fresh exits.

### Input

| Field | Type | Default | Description |
|-------|------|---------|-------------|
| `keyword` | string | **required** | Search phrase. |
| `marketplace` | string | `amazon.com` | One of 20 regional Amazon sites. |
| `max_results` | integer | `100` | Products to collect across pages (1-1000). |
| `sort` | string | `featured` | featured / price\_asc / price\_desc / avg\_review / newest. |
| `min_price` / `max_price` | integer | - | Price range in the marketplace currency. |
| `proxy_country` | string | - | Exit-IP country (ISO-2). |

#### Example input

```json
{
  "keyword": "wireless earbuds",
  "marketplace": "amazon.com",
  "max_results": 200,
  "sort": "avg_review"
}
```

### Use cases

- **Price & Buy-Box monitoring** - track prices and list prices for a keyword across marketplaces.
- **Product & niche research** - pull hundreds of products with ratings and review counts to size a niche.
- **Competitor tracking** - watch which products rank, and which are sponsored, for your keywords.
- **Catalog building** - collect ASINs, titles and images to seed a catalogue or feed downstream enrichment.

### Output

One dataset item per product, with the fields above.
