## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Google Shopping Scraper

Scrape **Google Shopping search results** as clean, structured JSON - every product card with its **title**, **price** and **currency** (symbol and ISO code), **original price and discount**, the **merchant**, **rating** and **review count**, and **Google's own product ids**, which stay the same across searches so you can follow one product's price over time. Pick any market (US, UK, Germany...) and filter by price. No Google account, API key or proxies to set up.

### Features

- **Any search term** - the products Google Shopping shows for it, in Google's order (`position`).
- **Any market** - `country` decides the prices, currency and merchants (us, gb, de, fr, ca, au...).
- **Price filters** - minimum and maximum price, in the market's currency.
- **Prices you can compute with** - `price` and `originalPrice` as numbers, `currencyCode` as ISO 4217 (USD, EUR, GBP...), plus the raw `priceRaw` text.
- **Discounts** - crossed-out price and Google's discount badge.
- **Social proof** - star rating and review count (as a number, with Google's rounded text in `reviewCountText`).
- **Stable product ids** - `productId`, `catalogId` and `offerId`, for deduplication and price tracking across runs.
- **Deduplicated** - a product Google repeats in its topic shelves is returned once.

### Use cases

- **Price monitoring** - track the lowest price and discounts for your products or a whole category on a schedule.
- **Competitor research** - see which merchants and brands win a search, at which price.
- **Market sizing** - compare price ranges, ratings and review counts across markets.
- **Assortment and MAP checks** - find who sells a product below the advertised price.
- **Product feeds** - build datasets of products with prices for analysis.

### Input

| Field | Type | Default | Description |
|-------|------|---------|-------------|
| `queries` | array | `["wireless headphones"]` | Product searches (one search each). |
| `country` | string | `us` | Market, as an ISO-2 code. |
| `minPrice` | integer | - | Minimum price in the market's currency. |
| `maxPrice` | integer | - | Maximum price in the market's currency. |
| `maxResultsPerQuery` | integer | `60` | Products to keep per search (1-100). |
| `proxy_country` | string | empty | Exit-IP country; leave empty. |
| `concurrency` | integer | `2` | Searches run at the same time (1-3). |

#### Example input

```json
{
  "queries": ["running shoes", "air fryer"],
  "country": "us",
  "minPrice": 50,
  "maxPrice": 300
}
```

### Output

One dataset item per product:

```json
{
  "title": "Nike Men's Revolution 8 Running Shoes",
  "price": 56.25,
  "priceRaw": "$56.25",
  "currency": "$",
  "currencyCode": "USD",
  "originalPrice": 75.0,
  "discount": "25%OFF",
  "merchant": "Kohl's",
  "rating": 4.5,
  "reviewCount": 5500,
  "reviewCountText": "5.5K",
  "productId": "3811330713444751413",
  "catalogId": "16739696587680837178",
  "offerId": "29822575179428294",
  "position": 6,
  "query": "running shoes",
  "country": "us"
}
```

Searches that return no products or cannot be run go to the `ERRORS` record in the run's key-value store, with the reason. They are not billed.

### Pricing

**$2 per 1000 products** (pay per result) - one dataset item is one product. Failed searches are free.

### Notes

- One search reads Google Shopping's first results page, usually 40-60 products. For more products, split a search into narrower terms or price bands.
- Google Shopping opens products in an overlay with no per-product link, so items carry Google's product ids instead of a URL.
- Powered by [ScrapeUnblocker](https://www.scrapeunblocker.com).

# Actor input Schema

## `queries` (type: `array`):

Product searches to run on Google Shopping (one search each), e.g. 'wireless headphones'.

## `country` (type: `string`):

Google Shopping market as an ISO-2 country code, e.g. 'us', 'gb', 'de'. It decides the prices, currency and merchants you get.

## `minPrice` (type: `integer`):

Only products at or above this price (whole units of the market's currency).

## `maxPrice` (type: `integer`):

Only products at or below this price (whole units of the market's currency).

## `maxResultsPerQuery` (type: `integer`):

How many products to keep from each search (1-100). One search reads Google Shopping's first results page, usually 40-60 products.

## `proxy_country` (type: `string`):

Exit-IP country (ISO-2). Leave empty: the market above already sets prices and merchants, and the scraper picks a working exit.

## `concurrency` (type: `integer`):

How many searches to run at the same time (1-3).

## Actor input object example

```json
{
  "queries": [
    "wireless headphones"
  ],
  "country": "us",
  "maxResultsPerQuery": 60,
  "proxy_country": "",
  "concurrency": 2
}
```

# Actor output Schema

## `results` (type: `string`):

One item per product with price, currency, merchant, rating and Google's product ids

## `errors` (type: `string`):

Searches that returned no products or could not be run, with the reason (not billed)
