## Pricing

from $3.32 / 1,000 company delivereds

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## North Data Scraper: European company register data, financials and history

North Data Scraper collects **company profiles from northdata.com** for the names or links you give it, without a
North Data account, cookies or a browser. Each company comes back as one clean row: the official name and former
names, legal form, status (active, in liquidation, terminated), the register court and number, EUID and LEI, the
registered address, industry, corporate purpose, share capital, the published financial figures by year (revenue,
earnings, total assets, employees), the balance sheet when North Data shows it, and the dated register history:
registration, name, address and capital changes, statute filings, trademarks, public funding, mergers and acquisitions.

It covers Germany in depth (Handelsregister data) and the other registers North Data indexes: Austria, Switzerland,
France, the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, the UK, the Nordics, Spain, Poland and more.

It is used for KYB and supplier checks, B2B lead lists with register numbers, credit and risk screening, M\&A and
investor research, market maps by industry, and to enrich a CRM with the legal data of each account.

**Company data only.** Names of managing directors, board members, shareholders who are people and authorized
signatories are never delivered, and search results that are people are skipped.

### At a glance

| What | Price |
|---|---|
| Company delivered | **US$ 3.90 per 1,000 companies** (US$ 0.0039 each) |
| Run start | US$ 0.005 per run |

- 100 companies = **US$ 0.395** (100 x 0.0039 + 0.005).
- Error rows, duplicates and companies skipped by the status filter are never charged.
- `maxItems` is a hard cap, and a spending limit set on the run stops it cleanly with everything delivered so far.
- The proxy is included in the price.

### Quick start

One company name, German companies only:

```json
{
  "searchQueries": ["Siemens"],
  "countries": ["DE"],
  "maxItems": 20
}
```

Several names, active companies only, across Germany and Austria:

```json
{
  "searchQueries": ["Bosch", "solar energy", "logistics"],
  "countries": ["DE", "AT"],
  "companyStatus": "active",
  "maxItems": 100
}
```

Exact companies by link (the fastest way to enrich a list you already have):

```json
{
  "startUrls": [
    "https://www.northdata.com/Siemens%20AG,%20M%C3%BCnchen/HRB%206684",
    "https://www.northdata.com/Software-123%20Ltd%C2%B7,%20Inverness/Companies%20House%20SC418909"
  ],
  "includeHistory": true
}
```

### Input

| Field | What it does |
|---|---|
| `searchQueries` | Company names or keywords, one per line. Each one is a search on North Data (up to about 60 matches). |
| `countries` | Two-letter country codes (DE, AT, CH, FR, NL, GB...). Empty = all countries. |
| `companyStatus` | `all` (default), `active`, `liquidation` or `terminated`. |
| `startUrls` | North Data company page links. A North Data search link also works. |
| `includeHistory` | On (default): adds the dated register history to each row. |
| `maxItems` | Hard cap for the whole run. Default 20, 0 = no cap. |
| `proxyConfiguration` | Apify datacenter proxy by default. |

Common names used by other tools are also accepted: `query`, `keyword`, `companyNames`, `urls`, `country`,
`maxResults`, `limit`.

Financial figures exist only when the company publishes them (in Germany mostly GmbH and AG filings, in the UK the
Companies House accounts). Small companies often have capital and history but no revenue.

### How the search works

A name is searched on North Data and the results are merged without duplicates, up to about 60 companies per
name. For a long list of companies, put one name per line, or paste the company links directly.

The country filter keeps companies whose page sits in that country. The status filter is applied after each page is
read, and skipped companies are free.

### Errors you may see

Error rows have `type: "error"`, an `errorCode` and a message. They are never charged.

| errorCode | Meaning | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| `INVALID_INPUT` | A field has a value the Actor cannot use (for example an unknown country code) | Fix the field |
| `INVALID_URL` | The link is not a North Data company or search link | Paste a link from northdata.com |
| `PERSON_PAGE` | The link points to a person's page | This Actor delivers company data only |
| `NO_RESULTS` | No company matched the name in the chosen countries | Try another spelling or fewer countries |
| `NOT_FOUND` | The company page no longer exists | Check the link |
| `BLOCKED` | North Data refused every attempt | Run again in a few minutes |

### Integrations, scheduling and AI agents

- **Schedules:** run the same list every week or month to catch new capital, address, status or name changes in the
  `history` field.
- **Export:** download the dataset as JSON, CSV, Excel or XML, or read it from the Apify API.
- **Make, n8n and Zapier:** use the Apify integration to send each new company to a sheet, CRM or Slack.
- **Webhooks:** get a call when a run finishes and pull the dataset from there.
- **AI agents:** the Actor works as a tool through the Apify MCP server, so an agent can look up a company's register
  number, status and latest figures on demand.

### FAQ

**Do I need a North Data account?**
No. The Actor reads the public company pages. Data that North Data keeps behind its premium plans (full KPI tables,
ownership graphs, documents) is not included.

**Why are some financial fields empty?**
Because the company did not publish them, or North Data shows them only to premium users. Empty fields stay `null`.

**Can I get the managing directors or shareholders?**
No. People's names are personal data and are left out on purpose. Corporate shareholders and merger partners that are
companies do appear in `mergersAndAcquisitions` and `history`.

**How fast is it?**
A run of 100 companies usually takes a few minutes.

**Which countries are covered?**
All countries North Data indexes; Germany, Austria and Switzerland have the richest register data.

### Limitations

- The quick search returns up to about 60 companies per name; for more, use more specific names or company links.
- Advanced filters of the North Data Power Search (legal form, industry, radius) are premium on the site and are not
  available; the country and status filters are applied by the Actor.
- `legalForm` comes from the register history when it is there, otherwise from the name suffix, and can be empty for
  funds, branches and unusual names.
- The `balanceSheet` field appears only for the larger companies where North Data shows a drill-down.

### Changelog

- **16 Oct 2026:** first version. Search by name and country, company links, status filter, register identifiers,
  address, industry, corporate purpose, capital, yearly financials with sources, balance sheet, register history,
  mergers and acquisitions, funding and trademarks.

# Actor input Schema

## `searchQueries` (type: `array`):

Company names or keywords, one per line, for example Siemens or Bosch GmbH. Each name is one search on North Data (up to about 60 matches per name). Leave empty when you paste company links below.

## `countries` (type: `array`):

Keep only companies from these countries. Empty = all countries North Data covers.

## `companyStatus` (type: `string`):

Keep only companies with this legal status. Companies skipped by the filter are not charged.

## `startUrls` (type: `array`):

Optional: North Data company page links, for example https://www.northdata.com/Siemens%20AG,%20M%C3%BCnchen/HRB%206684. A North Data search link also works.

## `includeHistory` (type: `boolean`):

On: each row gets the dated register history (registration, name, address and capital changes, statute filings, trademarks). Off: smaller rows.

## `maxItems` (type: `integer`):

Hard cap for the whole run, across all names and links. 0 = no cap.

## `proxyConfiguration` (type: `object`):

Apify datacenter proxy by default. Change it only if you know you need to.

## Actor input object example

```json
{
  "searchQueries": [
    "Siemens"
  ],
  "countries": [
    "DE"
  ],
  "includeHistory": true,
  "maxItems": 20,
  "proxyConfiguration": {
    "useApifyProxy": true
  }
}
```
