## Pricing

from $0.56 / 1,000 results

This Actor is paid per event and usage. You are charged both the fixed price for specific events and for Apify platform usage.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Marktplaats Scraper (Netherlands)

Scrapes listings from **[Marktplaats](https://www.marktplaats.nl)** — the
Netherlands' largest classifieds marketplace (eBay's Dutch subsidiary).

Public data only. No login, no cookies, no browser. No bot challenge on any
of 8 TLS profiles tested.

### How input works: paste a search URL

Marktplaats has hundreds of categories, and every filter parameter this
actor tested during recon — price range, construction year, "offered
since" — turned out to be silently ignored. Rather than guess, this actor
takes URLs built in Marktplaats' own UI:

```
https://www.marktplaats.nl/l/auto-s/     (category browse)
https://www.marktplaats.nl/q/iphone/     (keyword search)
```

**Ignore Marktplaats' own `?page=N` in a copied URL** — it does nothing. A
different mechanism handles pagination, and this actor manages it for you;
any query string on a pasted URL is stripped rather than trusted.

### What you get

Three record types share one dataset, told apart by `recordType`.

#### `LISTING` — one row per item

Upstream's object, passed through verbatim: title, description, price,
location (city, country, GPS coordinates), seller info, images, item
attributes (year, mileage, etc. where relevant to the category), and listing
date.

#### `SEARCH_SUMMARY` — one row per search URL

Marktplaats' own match total (read once, from the first page — see below),
requests spent, pages fetched.

#### `ERROR` — one row per input that could not be processed

Every input maps to at least one row, so nothing disappears silently.

### Input

| Field | What it does |
| --- | --- |
| **Search URLs** | One Marktplaats category or keyword search URL per entry. |
| **Max listings per search URL** | `0` for everything reachable — capped by the result window (see below). |
| **Max concurrent requests / Minimum seconds between requests** | Throughput controls. |

### Known limits

- **Result window: ~2,220 rows (74 pages) per query.** Marktplaats reports a
  much larger total, but past page 74 its own `totalResultCount` field
  stops meaning anything — it flips to a smaller, unrelated number rather
  than staying accurate or going to zero. This actor always reads the total
  from page 1 only and stops at the window boundary, flagging
  `resultWindowReached: true` rather than trusting the corrupted figure.
  Narrow with a more specific category or keyword to reach more of a large
  result set.
- **URLs, not a filter API.** See above — deliberate, not a missing feature.
- **No detail pass.** The detail ("VIP") page uses a completely different
  rendering stack and was checked to carry strictly *less* data than the
  search row already has.

# Actor input Schema

## `searchUrls` (type: `array`):

One Marktplaats category or keyword search URL per entry, each with its own SEARCH\_SUMMARY row.

Marktplaats has hundreds of categories and every filter parameter this actor tested (price range, construction year, "offered since") turned out to be silently ignored, so it takes URLs built in Marktplaats' own UI rather than trying to rebuild filtering — build your search at marktplaats.nl and paste the resulting URL here.

Two accepted shapes:

```
https://www.marktplaats.nl/l/auto-s/          (category browse)
https://www.marktplaats.nl/q/iphone/          (keyword search)
```

Any `?page=` on a pasted URL is dropped — it does nothing on this site. Pagination happens through a path segment this actor manages for you.

## `maxItems` (type: `integer`):

Stop after this many listings per search URL. Set to 0 for everything reachable — note Marktplaats only lets any query page through about 2,220 rows (74 pages) however many matches it reports; past that the site's own total figure itself becomes unreliable, and the run stops there and flags it rather than trusting a bad number.

## `maxConcurrency` (type: `integer`):

Upper bound on requests in flight at once, across all search URLs.

## `minRequestInterval` (type: `integer`):

Paces how often requests START, without tying up a concurrency slot. Leave at 0 to use the built-in default of 0.3s -- 0 does not mean 'no pacing'.

## `proxyConfiguration` (type: `object`):

Residential pinned to the Netherlands. No WAF or bot challenge was observed on any of 8 TLS profiles, but Marktplaats is a Netherlands-only platform and container egress is a different posture than a home connection.

# API

You can run this Actor programmatically using our API. Below are code examples in JavaScript, Python, and CLI, as well as the OpenAPI specification and MCP server setup.

## JavaScript example

```javascript
import { ApifyClient } from 'apify-client';
// Initialize the ApifyClient with your Apify API token
// Replace the '<YOUR_API_TOKEN>' with your token
const client = new ApifyClient({
    token: '<YOUR_API_TOKEN>',
});
// Prepare Actor input
const input = {
    "searchUrls": [
        "https://www.marktplaats.nl/l/auto-s/"
    ]
};
// Run the Actor and wait for it to finish
const run = await client.actor("scrapyx/marktplaats-scraper").call(input);
// Fetch and print Actor results from the run's dataset (if any)
console.log('Results from dataset');
console.log(`💾 Check your data here: https://console.apify.com/storage/datasets/${run.defaultDatasetId}`);
const { items } = await client.dataset(run.defaultDatasetId).listItems();
items.forEach((item) => {
    console.dir(item);
});
