## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## EU Tenders Search (TED) - Public Procurement Notices & Awards

Search **all EU public procurement notices** published on **TED (Tenders Electronic Daily)**, the official journal for tenders above EU thresholds (~700k notices a year from 27 EU states plus EEA and others), through the official **TED Search API**. No scraping, key, login or proxy.

### Use cases

- **Bid & tender alerts**: schedule daily runs for your keywords, CPV codes and countries and get only tenders still open for bids.
- **Sales prospecting**: find public buyers that purchase your product or service, with budgets.
- **Competitor & market intelligence**: award notices with winner names, countries, SME flags and contract values.
- **Consultants & bid writers**: build pipelines of opportunities for clients.

### Input

```json
{ "keywords": ["cybersecurity"], "cpvCodes": ["72000000"], "countries": ["DEU", "FRA"], "noticeKind": "contract-notices", "openForBidsOnly": true, "maxPerQuery": 200 }
```

CPV codes match their sub-codes (72000000 covers all IT services). Country codes are ISO alpha-3 (DEU, FRA, ITA, ESP, POL, NLD, IRL...). Use `noticeKind: award-notices` for results with winners.

### Output (one row per notice)

`publicationNumber, title, buyerName, buyerCountry, buyerCity, buyerWebsite, publicationDate, tenderDeadline, formType, noticeType, procedureType, contractNature, cpvCodes, placeOfPerformance, estimatedValue, estimatedValueCurrency, totalValue, totalValueCurrency, winnerNames, winnerCountries, winnerSizes, submissionUrl, documentsUrl, description, noticeUrl, pdfUrl, xmlUrl`. Queries with no matches or a query syntax error return `found: false` (with the API's error message) and are not charged.

### Pricing

Pay per result (per notice returned).

### Notes & attribution

Source: TED - Tenders Electronic Daily, © European Union, https://ted.europa.eu. Procurement notices are reused under the Commission's reuse policy (Decision 2011/833/EU). This actor reformats the data (selected fields, preferred-language text); it is not an official TED product, and the Publications Office of the EU does not endorse it. Fields depend on the notice (eForms notices since Oct 2023 are the richest); not every notice states values or winners. Personal contact details are not exported.
