## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## AutoScout24 Scraper & Monitor

Scrape used-car listings from **AutoScout24**, Europe's largest car marketplace — 7 markets: Germany, Austria, Italy, Netherlands, Belgium, Spain, France.

### What you get

One row per car listing:

| Field | Example |
|---|---|
| `id`, `url`, `title` | `Audi A4` |
| `price`, `priceRating` | `11799`, `very-good` (AutoScout24's own price rating) |
| `make`, `model`, `variant` | `Audi`, `A4`, `Avant` |
| `mileageKm`, `firstRegistration` | `125000`, `08-2010` |
| `powerKw`, `powerPs`, `fuel`, `transmission` | `195`, `265`, `Benzin`, `Schaltgetriebe` |
| `city`, `zip`, `country` | `Bielefeld`, `33609`, `DE` |
| `sellerType`, `sellerName`, `sellerPhone` | `Dealer`, `Sparrenburgautomobile`, `+49 (0)521 - 16396395` |
| `sellerRating`, `sellerRatingCount` | `5`, `134` |
| `image`, `imagesCount` | full-size photo URL |

### How to use

**Option A — paste a search URL.** Search on autoscout24.de (any filters: make, price, mileage, fuel, region), copy the URL, paste it into *Search URLs*. All filters are preserved, and pagination is automatic.

**Option B — make/model.** Set `make` (e.g. `BMW`), optional `model`, market and filters. The Actor builds the search for you.

### Monitor mode (the useful part)

Turn on **Monitor mode: only new listings** and schedule the Actor (Apify Schedules — e.g. every hour).

- First run: full result set (baseline).
- Every run after: **only cars you have not seen yet**, plus nothing else.
- **No new listings → no results → no per-listing charge.**
- Optional **Webhook URL**: get a JSON payload pushed to n8n / Make / Slack when new cars appear.

Typical setups: a dealer watching for freshly listed competitor stock, a flipper catching underpriced cars before anyone else, a price-monitoring dashboard.

### Pricing

Pay per result — you are charged **only for listings actually delivered**:

- **$1.20 per 1,000 listings** ($0.0012 each)
- **$0.003 per monitor check** (one per search per run)

A daily monitor of 5 searches returning ~10 new cars costs roughly **$0.05/day**.

### Notes

- Pure HTTP engine — no browser, ~0.4 s per page, 20 listings per page.
- Residential proxy is used by default (AutoScout24 blocks most datacenter IPs).
- Private sellers are returned without name/phone where the site hides them (GDPR).
- The site can change its markup; if a run returns 0 listings, open an issue — usually fixed within a day.

### Integrations

Works out of the box with the Apify API, n8n, Make, Zapier, Google Sheets export and MCP clients (Claude, Cursor). Example: `POST /v2/acts/<actor-id>/run-sync-get-dataset-items` returns the dataset directly.

# Actor input Schema

## `searchUrls` (type: `array`):

AutoScout24 result page URLs (copy the URL after searching on autoscout24.de/.at/.it/.nl/.be/.es/.fr). All filters in the URL are preserved. Works for any market.

## `make` (type: `string`):

Car make, e.g. BMW, Audi, Volkswagen.

## `model` (type: `string`):

Model, e.g. 320, A4, Golf. Optional — leave empty for all models.

## `country` (type: `string`):

Which AutoScout24 market to search when using make/model.

## `priceFrom` (type: `integer`):

Minimum price in EUR.

## `priceTo` (type: `integer`):

Maximum price in EUR.

## `yearFrom` (type: `integer`):

Only cars first registered in or after this year.

## `mileageTo` (type: `integer`):

Maximum mileage in kilometres.

## `fuel` (type: `string`):

Fuel

## `maxItems` (type: `integer`):

Stop after this many listings per search. Default 200.

## `maxPagesPerSearch` (type: `integer`):

Each page holds 20 listings. Default 10 pages (= 200 listings).

## `onlyNew` (type: `boolean`):

Return only listings not seen in previous runs. Schedule this Actor (e.g. every hour) to catch new cars and price drops. Runs with no new listings produce no results and are not charged per listing.

## `notifyWebhook` (type: `string`):

If set, a JSON payload with the new listings is POSTed to this URL whenever new listings are found. Works with n8n, Make, Zapier, Slack incoming webhooks, or your own endpoint. No request is sent when nothing is new.

## `proxyConfiguration` (type: `object`):

Defaults to Apify residential proxy (recommended — AutoScout24 blocks most datacenter IPs).

```
# Actor output Schema
## `listings` (type: `string`):
Dataset with one row per car listing: price, price rating, mileage, first registration, power, seller contacts.
