## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

## Gelbe Seiten Scraper - German Business Leads & Emails

Extract German business listings from Gelbe Seiten, Germany's largest business directory. Search any trade or company type in any city or postcode and get a clean lead list with phone numbers, email addresses, websites, full addresses and ratings.

### What you get

For every business:

- **name, category** - company name and its main trade (e.g. Klempnereien, Zahnärzte, Steuerberater)
- **phone, phones** - main phone number plus any additional numbers
- **email** - contact email, wherever the business publishes one
- **website**
- **street, postalCode, city, district, address** - e.g. `Torstr. 105-107, 10119 Berlin (Mitte)`
- **rating, reviewCount** - average star rating and number of reviews
- **badge, isPaidListing** - partner level and premium listing flags
- **description** - the business's own summary
- **detailUrl, listingId, logoUrl**

Turn on **Include business details** to also get:

- **email** for many more businesses
- **services** - the keywords and services the business lists
- **latitude, longitude** - GPS coordinates
- **openingHours, paymentMethods**
- the full **description**

### Use cases

- **B2B lead generation** - build lists of tradespeople, medical practices, law firms, agencies and more in any German city
- **Sales prospecting** - get direct phone numbers and emails for outreach campaigns
- **Local market research** - count and map competitors by trade and district
- **Data enrichment** - add phone, website and address data to existing company lists
- **Agency outreach** - find local businesses without a website or with low ratings

### How to use

1. Enter one or more **Search terms**, e.g. `Klempner`, `Zahnarzt`, `Steuerberater`, `Friseur`.
2. Enter one or more **Locations**: a city, town or postcode such as `Berlin`, `München` or `10115`.
3. Set **Max businesses** (0 = no limit). Every search term is combined with every location.
4. Optionally turn on **Include business details** for emails, services, coordinates and opening hours.
5. Run the actor and export the results from the **Dataset** tab as CSV, Excel, JSON or Google Sheets.

You can also paste Gelbe Seiten search URLs (e.g. `https://www.gelbeseiten.de/suche/klempner/berlin`) into **Start URLs**.

}
```
### Good to know
- Gelbe Seiten also lists nearby and related businesses for a search (e.g. heating engineers for "Klempner"). Use **Max businesses per search** to keep each search focused.
- The same business found by two searches is returned only once.
- Gelbe Seiten publishes an email address for many listings, but not for every business.
