## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Google Shopping Price Monitor - Prices & Sellers

Track what any product sells for on Google Shopping. For every product search you get each offer's seller, price, original price, discount, shipping, delivery time and ratings. Optionally fetch Google's full "compare prices" seller list for the top products. Run it on a schedule and every offer is compared with your previous run, so price drops and rises are flagged automatically.

### What you get

One row per offer with:

- **productTitle**, **productId** and **offerId**
- **seller**, **price**, **oldPrice**, **discountPct**, **shippingPrice**, **totalPrice** and **currency**
- **tags**: deal labels such as "32% OFF"
- **productRating**, **productReviews**, **sellerRating** and **sellerReviews**
- **delivery**: delivery message, e.g. "Free delivery by Sat"
- **condition**: new, refurbished or used (seller lists)
- **position**: rank in the Google Shopping results
- **previousPrice**, **priceChange** and **priceMovement** (first-check, up, down, unchanged) compared with your previous run
- **source**: `search` for the results page, `seller-list` for the full seller comparison
- **shoppingUrl**, **imageUrl**, **location** and **checkedAt**

### Use cases

- **Competitor price monitoring**: see what every retailer charges for the products you sell
- **MAP compliance**: spot sellers advertising below your minimum advertised price
- **Deal hunting**: catch discounts and price drops on the products you want
- **Pricing strategy**: benchmark your prices against the market before a launch or sale
- **Market research**: see which sellers dominate a product category

### How to use

1. Enter your **Products**, e.g. `sony wh-1000xm5`. Each line is one Google Shopping search.
2. Pick a **Country & language**.
3. Optional: set a **Minimum price** to skip accessories, choose a **Sort**, or keep **Only these sellers**.
4. Optional: turn on **Fetch every seller's price** for the full seller comparison on the top products.
5. Run the actor, or schedule it daily to track price changes.

- **Seller lookup**: charged per product when **Fetch every seller's price** is on.
- **Offer**: charged per offer saved.

See the **Pricing** tab for current prices. Failed searches are not charged.

### Free plan limits

Free Apify plans can run 1 product search and 1 seller list per run, 3 runs per day, with 30 minutes between runs. Upgrade to any paid Apify plan to remove these limits.

### FAQ

**How many offers does a search return?** Up to 40, the size of one Google Shopping results page.

**How are price changes tracked?** Each offer is remembered by product and seller. The next run of the same search in the same country reports the previous price and the change.

**Can I search by GTIN or model number?** Yes. Enter the model number or barcode as the product search.
