## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Kick Channel Scraper - Streamers, VODs, Clips & Live Streams

Scrape Kick.com streamers in bulk: follower counts, verified badges, bios, social links, contact emails and live status. You can also pull each channel's past broadcasts and top clips, or list every channel streaming right now, ranked by viewers. No login or Kick account needed.

### What you get

**Channel profiles** (one row per channel)

- Username, channel URL, follower count, verified badge, affiliate and banned flags
- Bio, emails found in the bio, profile picture and banner
- Instagram, X/Twitter, YouTube, Discord, TikTok and Facebook links
- Live status: stream title, current viewers, category, language, start time, tags and thumbnail
- Recent categories, subscriber badge tiers (months + image), chat mode, and the channel's creation date
- Optional: the links on the channel's About panel (sponsors, merch, tips) and the monthly subscription price

**Past broadcasts / VODs** (one row per broadcast)

- Title, VOD URL, start date, duration (seconds and h:mm:ss), total views and the viewer count when the stream ended
- Category, parent section (Games, IRL, Gambling…), language, tags, mature flag, thumbnail and HLS playlist URL

**Clips** (one row per clip)

- Title, clip URL, views, duration, creation date, who clipped it, category, thumbnail and video URL
- Sort by most viewed or newest, and filter to the last day, week, month or all time

**Live streams right now** (one row per live stream)

- Rank, channel, current viewers, title, category, language, uptime, thumbnail, bio, emails and social links
- Filter by category (e.g. `just-chatting`, `slots`), top-level section, language and minimum viewers
- Optional: follower count and verified badge for every live channel

Export everything to JSON, CSV, Excel or Google Sheets from the Apify console, or pull it through the API.

### Use cases

- **Influencer marketing and sponsorships** - find Kick streamers by category, language and audience size, with their socials and business emails
- **Talent scouting and agency lead generation** - build lists of rising streamers in a category and track their follower growth
- **Competitor and market research** - see which categories and channels draw the most live viewers at any time of day
- **Content and clip analysis** - find a creator's most viewed clips and best-performing broadcasts
- **Stream monitoring** - check whether a list of channels is live, what they are playing and how many people are watching

### How to use

1. Pick **What to scrape**: Channel profiles, Past broadcasts, Clips, or Live streams right now.
2. For the first three, enter one or more **Channels** - `xqc`, `@adinross` or `https://kick.com/trainwreckstv` all work.
3. For live streams, optionally add **categories**, a **top-level category**, **languages** and a **minimum viewer count**.
4. Set **Max results** (0 = no limit) and run. Results appear in the **Output** / **Dataset** tab.

#### Getting more results across runs

Live streams mode and Clips mode (with a single channel) can continue where the last run stopped. After the run finishes, open the **Key-value store** tab → copy the `NEXT_PAGE_ID` value → paste it into **Page ID** on your next run. If `NEXT_PAGE_ID` is `null` (or missing), you've fetched everything.

Kick keeps past broadcasts for about 30 days, so Past broadcasts mode returns every VOD that is still available in a single run.

### Pricing

You pay per result: one charge for each channel profile, past broadcast, clip or live stream row saved to your dataset. Channels that don't exist are skipped and not charged.

### FAQ

**Do I need a Kick account?** No. The scraper only reads public channel pages.

**Why is `emails` empty for some channels?** Emails are only returned when the streamer has written one in their bio or About panel.

**Can I get subscriber counts?** Kick does not make subscriber counts public. You get the subscriber badge tiers and, optionally, the subscription price.

**What about proxies?** You don't need to set one up. The scraper switches to a proxy by itself if Kick starts blocking requests. You can still choose your own proxy in the input if you want to.

# Actor input Schema

## `mode` (type: `string`):

Channel profiles: one row per channel with followers, verified badge, bio, social links and live status. Past broadcasts: every VOD Kick still hosts for each channel. Clips: a channel's clips sorted by views or date. Live streams: channels streaming right now, highest viewers first, optionally filtered by category and language.

## `channels` (type: `array`):

Kick channel names or URLs, one per line - e.g. xqc, @adinross or https://kick.com/trainwreckstv. Used by the Channel profiles, Past broadcasts and Clips modes.

## `includeAboutLinks` (type: `boolean`):

Channel profiles mode: also return the links from the channel's About panel (sponsor, merch, tip links) and the monthly subscription price. Same number of requests, slightly larger responses.

## `maxVideosPerChannel` (type: `integer`):

Past broadcasts mode: newest broadcasts first. 0 = everything Kick still hosts (Kick keeps VODs for roughly the last 30 days).

## `clipsSort` (type: `string`):

Clips mode: return the most viewed clips first or the newest clips first.

## `clipsTimeRange` (type: `string`):

Clips mode: only include clips created within this window.

## `maxClipsPerChannel` (type: `integer`):

Clips mode: stop after this many clips for each channel. 0 = all clips (large channels have tens of thousands).

## `liveCategories` (type: `array`):

Live streams mode: only return streams in these categories. Use the slug from the category page URL, e.g. just-chatting, slots, grand-theft-auto-v, counter-strike-2. Leave empty for all categories.

## `liveParentCategory` (type: `string`):

Live streams mode: restrict to one top-level section of Kick.

## `liveLanguages` (type: `array`):

Live streams mode: only return streams in these languages. Accepts language names (English, Spanish) or codes (en, es, pt). Leave empty for all languages.

## `minViewers` (type: `integer`):

Live streams mode: skip streams with fewer concurrent viewers than this. The list is sorted by viewers, so the run stops as soon as it drops below the threshold.

## `includeChannelDetails` (type: `boolean`):

Live streams mode: look up each live channel's follower count and verified status. Adds one request per stream, so runs take a little longer.

## `maxItems` (type: `integer`):

Maximum number of rows for the whole run, across all channels. 0 = no limit.

## `pageId` (type: `string`):

Paste NEXT\_PAGE\_ID from the previous run's Key-value store to continue where it stopped. Works for Live streams mode and for Clips mode with a single channel.

## `proxyConfiguration` (type: `object`):

Optional. By default the scraper connects directly and switches to datacenter and then residential proxies automatically only if Kick starts blocking. Set a proxy here to use it from the first request.

## Actor input object example

```json
{
  "mode": "channels",
  "channels": [
    "xqc",
    "adinross",
    "trainwreckstv"
  ],
  "clipsSort": "view",
  "clipsTimeRange": "all",
  "maxClipsPerChannel": 100,
  "liveParentCategory": "any",
  "minViewers": 0,
  "includeChannelDetails": false,
  "maxItems": 100,
  "proxyConfiguration": {
    "useApifyProxy": false
  }
}
```

# Actor output Schema

## `results` (type: `string`):

Rows with a 'type' of channel (followers, verified, bio, socials, live status, badges, created date), video (title, duration, views, start date, category, URL), clip (title, views, likes, duration, creator, URL, thumbnail, date) or live (rank, viewers, title, category, language, uptime, socials).

## `nextPageId` (type: `string`):

NEXT\_PAGE\_ID record in the default key-value store (Live streams mode and single-channel Clips mode). Paste into Page ID on the next run to resume; null when the list is exhausted.
