## Pricing

from $3.00 / 1,000 communities

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

Export everything to JSON, CSV, Excel or Google Sheets from the **Dataset** tab.

### Use cases

- **Lead generation**: find coaches, course creators and community owners in your niche, with their websites and social links
- **Market research**: compare pricing, member counts and ratings of communities in a category before launching your own
- **Competitor analysis**: track what top communities post, which posts get the most likes and comments, and how fast they grow
- **Audience research**: see who is active in a community, their levels, bios and locations
- **Influencer and partner outreach**: build lists of community owners and admins to pitch sponsorships or collaborations

### How to use

1. Pick a **Mode**:
   - **Discovery** - search skool.com/discovery by keyword, or browse by category. Filter by free/paid, public/private and language.
   - **Community details** - paste community URLs or slugs to get their about-page data.
   - **Members** - paste public community URLs to get their members.
   - **Posts** - paste public community URLs to get their posts (optionally with comments).
2. Fill in **Search keyword** (discovery) or **Communities** (other modes), e.g. `https://www.skool.com/cliefnotes` or just `cliefnotes`.
3. Set **Max results** (default 100; 0 for no limit).
4. Run the actor. Results appear in the **Dataset** tab.

Tip: turn on **Include full community details** in discovery mode to get owner info, post counts and privacy for every community in one run.

#### Fetching the next page

Discovery runs, posts runs and logged-in member runs (one community) can be continued. After the run finishes, open the **Key-value store** tab → copy the `NEXT_PAGE_ID` value → paste it into **Page ID** on your next run. If `NEXT_PAGE_ID` is `null`, you've fetched everything.

### Good to know

- **Private communities** only show their about page to non-members. Community details work for every community; members and posts work only for **public** communities. Use **Privacy: Public only** in discovery to find communities you can scrape fully.
- **Member lists**: without logging in, Skool shows visitors only 30 members per list view. The actor combines every list view (newest, admins, online, each level, free and paid members) with **Deep member scan**, which runs member searches over common words in names and bios to collect many more. Skool limits how fast member search can be used, so the scan paces itself: expect roughly 10,000 members per hour on large communities and around half of a small community's members (people with an empty bio and an uncommon name cannot be found this way). Increase the run timeout for bigger scans.
- **Member keyword search**: fill **Member search keywords** (e.g. `coach`, `realtor`, `founder`) to get only members whose name or bio contains those words - ideal for lead lists.
- **Full member lists and private communities**: add your own Skool session cookie (**Skool session cookie**, stored as a secret) to page through the complete member list, and to read members and posts of private communities you belong to.
- **Discovery** returns up to 1,000 communities per search, the same limit as the Skool website. Use different keywords, categories or languages to reach more.
- Long posts are cut at about 2,000 characters in the feed; the actor opens those posts to get the full text (turn off **Fetch full text of long posts** for faster runs).

# Actor input Schema

## `mode` (type: `string`):

What to scrape. Discovery searches skool.com/discovery. The other modes take community URLs or slugs in 'Communities'. Members and posts are only visible for public communities.

## `searchQuery` (type: `string`):

Keyword to search Skool Discovery for, e.g. 'fitness' or 'real estate'. Leave empty to browse the trending list.

## `category` (type: `string`):

Limit Discovery to one category. Applies when browsing without a keyword; Skool ignores it for keyword searches.

## `priceFilter` (type: `string`):

Only return free or paid communities.

## `privacyFilter` (type: `string`):

Public communities let anyone read posts and members; private ones only show their about page. Pick 'Public only' if you plan to scrape members or posts next.

## `language` (type: `string`):

Only return communities in this language.

## `sort` (type: `string`):

Discovery ordering. Applies when browsing without a keyword.

## `includeCommunityDetails` (type: `boolean`):

Also open each community's about page to add owner (name, bio, social links), post count, online count, admin count, course count, privacy and long description. One extra request per community.

## `communities` (type: `array`):

Skool community URLs or slugs, e.g. 'https://www.skool.com/cliefnotes' or 'cliefnotes'. Used by the community, members and posts modes.

## `memberSearchTerms` (type: `array`):

Optional. Only return members whose name or bio contains one of these words, e.g. 'coach', 'realtor', 'founder'. Whole-word match, up to about 10,000 members per keyword. Leave empty to collect as many members as possible.

## `deepMemberScan` (type: `boolean`):

Without a session cookie, Skool only shows visitors 30 members per list view. When on, the actor also runs a series of member searches to collect far more members (slower on very large communities). Turn off for a quick sample of the newest and most active members.

## `sessionCookie` (type: `string`):

Optional. Your own Skool 'auth_token' cookie (from your browser's developer tools while logged in to skool.com). With it, the actor pages through the complete member list, and can read members and posts of private communities you belong to. Use your own account only. Leave empty to scrape public data without logging in.

## `postSort` (type: `string`):

Order of posts. Recent activity matches the community's default feed; Newest sorts by creation date.

## `postCategory` (type: `string`):

Optional. Only return posts from this community category, e.g. 'Wins' or 'General discussion' (name match is case-insensitive and partial). Leave empty for all posts.

## `maxCommentsPerPost` (type: `integer`):

Attach up to this many comments (including replies) to each post. 0 skips comments, which is fastest.

## `fetchFullContent` (type: `boolean`):

The feed truncates posts at about 2,000 characters. When on, long posts are opened individually to get the complete text.

## `maxItems` (type: `integer`):

Maximum number of records to return across the whole run (communities, members or posts). 0 means no limit.

## `pageId` (type: `string`):

Paste NEXT_PAGE_ID from the previous run's Key-value store to continue where it stopped. Works for discovery, for posts of a single community, and for members of a single community when a session cookie is set.

## `proxyConfiguration` (type: `object`):

Optional proxy. Skool normally works without one; if requests get blocked the actor switches to Apify Proxy automatically.

  "searchQuery": "fitness",

# Actor output Schema

## `results` (type: `string`):

One row per community (discovery/community modes), member (members mode) or post (posts mode). Each row has a 'type' field.

## `nextPageId` (type: `string`):

NEXT_PAGE_ID record in the default key-value store. Paste into Page ID on the next run to resume; null when the list is exhausted.
