## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Social Media Profile Finder - Company & Brand Socials

Find the Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, X (Twitter), Facebook, LinkedIn, Pinterest and Threads profiles of any company, brand, creator or website. Paste a list of domains or names and get **one clean row per input with one column per platform**, ready for your CRM, spreadsheet or outreach tool.

### What you get

For every company, brand, person or website you enter:

- **One column per platform**: `instagram`, `tiktok`, `youtube`, `x`, `facebook`, `linkedin`, `pinterest`, `threads`, `snapchat`, `twitch`, `github`, `discord`, `telegram`, `bluesky` (profile URL, or empty when not found)
- **The official website** that was checked
- **A confidence score and source for every profile**, telling you whether it was linked from the official website, cross-verified between profiles, or matched in web search
- **Other candidate accounts** (regional accounts, secondary channels) kept in a separate field, so the main columns stay clean
- Export to CSV, Excel, JSON or Google Sheets, or pull it over the API

### Use cases

- **Lead enrichment**: add social profiles to a list of company domains from your CRM or a lead database
- **Influencer and creator research**: find every channel a creator runs from a single name or profile
- **Competitor analysis**: map where competitors are active on social media
- **Sales prospecting**: find the right social channel to reach a brand
- **Data cleaning**: fill gaps and fix outdated social links in existing company records

### How it works

1. **Website first.** For a domain, the actor reads the homepage and collects the social links the company publishes itself. These are the most accurate, so they always win.
2. **Web search.** For a name, the actor searches the web, finds the official website and profiles whose name matches, and then reads that website too. For a domain whose homepage has no social links, it searches for the brand.
3. **Deep search (optional).** When two or more major platforms are still missing, it starts from the best profile found and follows bio links, link-in-bio pages and cross-links between accounts. It only adds accounts verified to belong to the same owner.

Wrong profiles are worse than missing ones, so matches that can't be tied to the input are dropped instead of guessed.

### How to use

1. Add your inputs to **Companies, brands, people or websites**, one per line:
   - Website: `gymshark.com` or `https://www.allbirds.com`
   - Company or brand name: `Liquid Death`
   - Person or creator: `MrBeast`
   - A social profile URL: `instagram.com/glossier` (finds that account's other profiles)
2. Turn on **Deep search** for the fullest coverage (slower, charged separately). It is off by default
3. Click **Start**. Results appear in the **Output** tab, one row per input.
4. Download as CSV or Excel, or connect to Google Sheets, Zapier, Make or your own code through the API

**Tip:** websites give the most accurate results. If you have a company's domain, use it rather than the name.

### Input example

```json
{
  "queries": ["gymshark.com", "https://www.allbirds.com", "Liquid Death", "MrBeast"],
  "deepSearch": true
}
```

### Output example

```json
{
  "input": "https://www.allbirds.com",
  "inputType": "website",
  "website": "https://www.allbirds.com/",
  "instagram": "https://www.instagram.com/allbirds",
  "tiktok": "https://www.tiktok.com/@weareallbirds",
  "youtube": "https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCnGErLCau5qNJ0Xwe6uEyTw",
  "x": "https://x.com/allbirds",
  "facebook": "https://www.facebook.com/weareallbirds",
  "linkedin": null,
  "pinterest": "https://www.pinterest.com/weareallbirds",
  "threads": null,
  "profilesFound": 6,
  "profiles": [
    {
      "platform": "instagram",
      "handle": "allbirds",
      "url": "https://www.instagram.com/allbirds",
      "confidence": 0.95,
      "sources": ["website"]
    }
  ],
  "otherProfiles": [],
  "websiteStatus": "ok",
  "deepSearchUsed": false,
  "status": "found",
  "error": null,
  "scrapedAt": "2026-09-27T12:00:00.000Z"
}
```

#### Confidence and sources

| Source | Meaning | Typical confidence |
|--------|---------|--------------------|
| `website` | Linked from the official website | 0.95 |
| `deep` | Cross-verified: linked from the profile, its link-in-bio page, or linking back to it | 0.8 to 1 |
| `search` | Found in web search with a matching name | 0.65 to 0.8 |
| `input` | The profile URL you entered | 1 |

When several sources agree on the same account, its confidence goes up. Set **Minimum confidence** to `0.8` to keep only website-linked and cross-verified profiles.

### Pricing

You pay per input row where at least one profile is found. Rows with no profiles are free. Deep search is charged as a separate event, only on rows where it actually runs. See the **Pricing** tab for current rates.

### FAQ

**Why is a platform empty?**
The company doesn't have an account there, or it couldn't be tied to the company with enough certainty. The actor leaves a column empty rather than guess.

**Why did I get a regional account (for example `@nikeaustralia`)?**
Some sites show different social links depending on the visitor's country. Other regional accounts found appear in `otherProfiles`.

**Does it need a login?**
No. It only uses public pages.

**Can I find the social profiles of a person?**
Yes, for public figures and creators. For common names, enter their website or one of their profile URLs instead of the name.

# Actor input Schema

## `queries` (type: `array`):

One per line. Website domains or URLs (gymshark.com, https://www.allbirds.com), company or brand names (Liquid Death), creator or person names (MrBeast), or a social profile URL (instagram.com/glossier) to find that account's other profiles. Websites give the most accurate results.

## `deepSearch` (type: `boolean`):

When two or more of Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, X and Facebook are still missing, start from the best profile found and follow its bio links, link-in-bio pages and cross-links to find the rest. Only accounts that are verified to belong to the same owner are added. Charged as a separate event, only on rows where it runs.

## `searchFallback` (type: `boolean`):

Website inputs only: if the homepage can't be loaded or doesn't link to Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, X or Facebook, run a web search for the domain and keep profiles whose name matches it. Name inputs always use web search.

## `minConfidence` (type: `number`):

Drop profiles below this confidence score (0 to 1). Links on the official website score 0.95, verified cross-links 0.9 to 1, and web search matches 0.65 to 0.8. Raise it to 0.8 to keep only verified profiles.

}
```
