## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## TikTok Account Age Checker - Creation Date Lookup

Find out exactly when any TikTok account was created. Paste up to 1,000 usernames and get each account's creation date, its age in days and years, and a flag for brand-new accounts, along with followers, likes and video count. No login or cookies needed.

### What you get

One row per account with:

- **Creation date**: `createdAt` (full timestamp) and `createdDate` (YYYY-MM-DD)
- **Account age**: `accountAgeDays`, `accountAgeYears` and a readable `accountAge` such as "4 years, 2 months"
- **New account flag**: `isNewAccount` is true for accounts younger than 90 days
- **Username change date**: when the handle was last changed, if TikTok exposes it
- **Profile**: user ID, display name, profile URL, bio, bio link, avatar, language
- **Flags**: verified, private, business account and category, TikTok Shop seller
- **Stats**: followers, following, total likes, video count
- **Growth ratios**: `followersPerDay` and `videosPerMonth` since the account was created

The creation date is decoded from the account's permanent user ID, so it stays accurate even if the account later changed its username or profile. `createdAtSource` tells you whether the date came from the user ID or from the profile.

### Use cases

- **Influencer vetting**: a creator with 500K followers on a 2-month-old account is a red flag
- **Fraud and scam screening**: catch freshly made impersonator, giveaway-scam and seller accounts
- **Brand protection**: find out which of several look-alike accounts came first
- **Account purchase due diligence**: verify the age a seller claims before buying a TikTok account
- **Research**: measure how old the accounts in a niche, campaign or comment section are

### How to use

1. Enter TikTok usernames (with or without @) or profile URLs, one per line
2. Run the actor
3. Results appear in the **Dataset** tab. The **Overview** view shows creation date, age and stats at a glance
4. Export to CSV, Excel, JSON or Google Sheets

### Pricing

You pay per account checked. Accounts that don't exist, invalid usernames and anything skipped are free and show up as rows with a `status` and `message`.

Free Apify plans can check up to 20 accounts per run (3 runs a day). Upgrade to a paid plan to remove these limits.

### FAQ

**Does it work on private accounts?** Yes. The creation date, follower count and profile flags are available for private accounts too.

**What happens with banned or deleted accounts?** Accounts that no longer exist come back with `status: "not_found"` and are not charged.

**How accurate is the date?** For accounts created since 2016, the date comes from TikTok's own user ID and is exact to the second. Very old accounts with legacy IDs use the profile's creation timestamp.
