## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## TikTok Live Checker - Who's Live Now, Viewers & Stream Links

Find out which TikTok creators are live right now. Enter up to 1,000 usernames and get each account's live status. For accounts that are live you also get the live title, when it started, how many people are watching and direct HLS/FLV stream links. No login and no TikTok account needed.

### What you get

One row per username with:

- **Live status**: `isLive` (true or false) and a direct link to the live (`liveUrl`)
- **Live details**: live title, start time, minutes live so far, current viewers (`viewerCount`), total viewers who joined (`totalViewers`) and the cover image
- **Stream links**: HLS (`.m3u8`) and FLV pull URLs plus the available qualities, ready for recording or monitoring tools
- **Account details**: username, display name, user ID, follower count and verification

Every run also saves a short summary (live / offline / not found counts) in the **Key-value store** as `OUTPUT`.

### Use cases

- **Live shopping and TikTok Shop**: see when competitors or partner brands go live to sell, and what deals they're running
- **Influencer marketing**: confirm sponsored creators actually went live, and track viewer numbers
- **Agencies and talent managers**: monitor a whole roster of creators in one run
- **Live recording and clipping**: feed the stream links into a recorder the moment a creator goes live
- **Go-live alerts**: schedule the actor every few minutes and send a Slack or email alert when someone is live

### How to use

1. Enter TikTok usernames (with or without @) or profile URLs, one per line
2. Turn on **Only output accounts that are live** if you only care about who is live
3. Run the actor and open the **Dataset** tab
4. Export to CSV, Excel, JSON or Google Sheets

#### Get alerted when someone goes live

1. In Apify Console, open **Schedules** → **Create new** and pick how often to check (e.g. every 10 minutes: `*/10 * * * *`)
2. Add this actor with your usernames and **Only output accounts that are live** turned on
3. On the actor's **Integrations** tab, add Slack, email or a webhook for the `Run succeeded` event. Runs with live accounts will have rows in the dataset

```
### Pricing
You pay per username checked, whether the account is live or not. Usernames that don't exist and invalid input are free and show up as rows with a `status` and `message` (hidden when **Only output accounts that are live** is on).
Free Apify plans can check up to 10 usernames per run (3 runs a day). Upgrade to a paid plan to remove these limits.
### FAQ
**How fresh is the status?** It's checked live at the moment the actor runs. Schedule the actor to keep checking.
**Why does an account show as not found?** The username doesn't exist, or the account has no public profile (for example it has never posted). Check the spelling. You are not charged.
**How long do the stream links work?** TikTok stream links are temporary and stop working when the live ends or after a few hours. Use them right away.
**Why is `followers` empty for some accounts?** Some accounts hide their follower count on live pages.
