## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## TikTok Location Scraper - Videos Posted at Any Place

Get the TikTok videos posted at any place: a landmark, a restaurant, a hotel, a shop, a park or a whole city. Search by name ("Eiffel Tower", "Joe's Pizza New York") or paste TikTok place URLs, and get every video tagged there with views, likes, captions, hashtags, creators and music, plus the place's address, category, GPS coordinates and total video count. No login and no TikTok account needed.

### What you get

One row per video with:

- **Video**: video ID and URL, caption, hashtags, posted date, duration, cover image, language and whether it's a photo slideshow
- **Engagement**: views, likes, comments, shares and saves
- **Creator**: username, display name, user ID, verification, follower count and total likes
- **Music**: sound ID, title, artist and whether it's an original sound
- **Place**: place ID, name, TikTok place URL, full address, city, country, category and subcategory (e.g. Food and Drink / Pizza Fast Food), latitude and longitude, and how many TikTok videos the place has in total

Turn on **Search places only** to get just the matching places (one row each) without their videos. Every run also saves a summary in the **Key-value store** as `OUTPUT`: which places each query matched and how many videos were collected per place.

### Use cases

- **Restaurant, hotel and venue marketing**: see what visitors post about your location and your competitors' locations
- **Influencer discovery and local creator outreach**: find creators who already film at a venue, city or attraction, ranked by followers and views
- **Tourism and destination research**: measure buzz around landmarks, cities and attractions and compare places by total video count
- **Brand and franchise monitoring**: track user content across every branch of a chain (set **Places per query** above 1)
- **Location intelligence and lead generation**: build lists of TikTok-active businesses with addresses and GPS coordinates

### How to use

1. Enter one or more **Place search queries** (add the city for chains and common names), and/or paste **TikTok place URLs or IDs**
2. Set **Places per query** (1 = best match only; raise it to get several branches or similarly named places)
3. Set **Max videos per place** (default 50; 0 = every video TikTok shows for the place)
4. Run the actor and open the **Dataset** tab
5. Export to CSV, Excel, JSON or Google Sheets

**Tip:** to find the exact place, run once with **Search places only** turned on, then copy the `placeUrl` you want into **TikTok place URLs or IDs**.

In **Search places only** mode, rows have `"type": "place"` and the same place fields, with the video fields empty.

### Pricing

Pay per result:

- **Video**: each video row in the dataset
- **Place**: each place row in **Search places only** mode
- **Place search**: each place lookup, i.e. each search for a query (usually one per query, up to three when you ask for several places) and each GPS/video-count lookup for a place URL (turn off **Add GPS and video count for place URLs** to skip it)

Queries that match nothing are only billed for their place lookups, and invalid URLs are free. Free Apify plans get up to 50 results per run (3 runs a day). Upgrade to a paid plan to remove these limits.

### FAQ

**Why are there fewer videos than the place's total video count?** TikTok only shows a selection of the videos tagged at a place (popular ones first), usually a few hundred for busy places. The total count is TikTok's own figure for the place.

**The query matched the wrong place.** Add the city or neighbourhood ("Joe's Pizza Carmine St New York"), raise **Places per query** to see the alternatives, or paste the exact TikTok place URL.

**Why is a query not finding anything?** The place may not exist on TikTok under that name, or nobody has tagged it in a popular video. Try the name exactly as it's spelled locally, or paste the place URL.

**Why are GPS coordinates empty for some place URLs?** Coordinates and total video counts come from a place lookup by name; when that lookup doesn't return the exact same place they are left empty. Places found through a search query always have them.

**What order are videos in?** The order TikTok shows on the place page, which is mostly by popularity, not by date.

# Actor input Schema

## `queries` (type: `array`):

Place names to look up on TikTok, one per line, e.g. "Eiffel Tower" or "Joe's Pizza New York". Adding the city helps pick the right branch of a chain.

## `placeUrls` (type: `array`):

TikTok place pages (https://www.tiktok.com/place/Name-1234567890) or bare place IDs, one per line. Use this when you already know the exact place.

## `placesPerQuery` (type: `integer`):

How many matching places to take for each search query, best match first (1-20). Use more than 1 for chains or common names, e.g. every "Central Park".

## `maxVideosPerPlace` (type: `integer`):

Maximum number of videos to collect for each place. Set 0 to collect every video TikTok shows for the place.

## `searchPlacesOnly` (type: `boolean`):

Only return the matching places (name, address, category, GPS coordinates, total video count) without scraping their videos. Handy for finding place IDs or building a list of locations.

## `addPlaceCoordinates` (type: `boolean`):

For places given as URLs or IDs, run one extra place lookup to add latitude, longitude and the place's total TikTok video count. Places found through a search query always include them.

## Actor input object example

```json
{
  "queries": [
    "Eiffel Tower"
  ],
  "placesPerQuery": 1,
  "maxVideosPerPlace": 50,
  "searchPlacesOnly": false,
  "addPlaceCoordinates": true
}
```

# Actor output Schema

## `results` (type: `string`):

One row per video: video ID and URL, caption, hashtags, posted date, views, likes, comments, shares, saves, duration, cover, author and music, plus the place's name, address, city, country, category, GPS coordinates and total video count.

## `summary` (type: `string`):

Which places each query matched and how many videos were collected per place.
