## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

## TikTok Top Ads Scraper - Creative Center Ad Inspiration

Pull the best-performing TikTok ads in any of 28 markets, filtered by industry, campaign objective and language. Each ad comes with its video, likes, comments and shares, CTR rank, budget level, landing page and brand, ready for ad research and creative briefs.

### What you get

For every top ad:

- **adTitle, brandName, industry, parentIndustry, objective** - what the ad promotes and why it ran (Traffic, Conversions, App Installs, Video Views, Reach, Lead Generation, Product Sales)
- **likes, comments, shares** - engagement on the ad
- **ctrRank / ctrTopPercent** - how its click-through rate ranks against other top ads (e.g. `Top 5%`)
- **budgetLevel** - Low, Medium or High spend tier
- **videoUrl, videoUrls, coverUrl, videoDurationSec, videoWidth, videoHeight** - the creative itself, in 360p to 1080p
- **landingPage** - where the ad sends traffic (store, app, product page)
- **countriesShown** - every market the ad ran in
- **source, hasVoiceOver, isSearchAd** - how the ad was built and served
- **creativeCenterUrl** - link to the ad's page on TikTok Creative Center

### Use cases

- **Ad creative research** - see which hooks, formats and lengths are winning in your industry right now
- **Competitor analysis** - find out which brands are spending, what they promote and where they send traffic
- **Creative briefs and swipe files** - build a library of proven TikTok ads for your team or clients
- **Market research** - compare what performs in the US, UK, Australia, Germany, Japan and more
- **UGC and agency prospecting** - find advertisers already investing in TikTok

### How to use

1. Pick one or more **Countries**.
2. Choose a **Time period** (last 7, 30 or 180 days) and how to **Sort by** (For You, Reach, CTR, 6-second view rate or Likes).
3. Optionally narrow by **Industries**, **Campaign objectives** and **Ad languages**.
4. Set **Max ads** and run. Results appear in the **Dataset** tab, where you can export them as CSV, Excel, JSON or Google Sheets.

The actor automatically splits broad searches into industry, objective and language slices to surface more unique ads than a single Creative Center page shows. Ads are de-duplicated across every slice and country.

### Output example

```json
{
  "adId": "7673308566858088449",
  "adTitle": "Woke up like this at 56. No injectables, just one jar...",
  "brandName": "l'oreal paris",
  "industry": "Beauty & Personal Care",
  "parentIndustry": "Beauty & Personal Care",
  "objective": "Video Views",
  "likes": 54954,
  "comments": 450,
  "shares": 204,
  "ctrTopPercent": 36,
  "ctrRank": "Top 36%",
  "budgetLevel": "High",
  "videoDurationSec": 43.2,
  "videoUrl": "https://v16m-default.tiktokcdn.com/...",
  "coverUrl": "https://p16-common-sign.tiktokcdn.com/...",
  "landingPage": "https://www.walmart.com/ip/...",
  "countriesShown": ["US"],
  "creativeCenterUrl": "https://ads.tiktok.com/business/creativecenter/topads/7673308566858088449/pc/en?countryCode=US&period=30",
  "country": "US",
  "period": 30,
  "sortBy": "impression"
}
```

### Good to know

- Video and cover URLs are signed by TikTok and expire after a few days. Download the videos you want to keep soon after the run.
- Creative Center features a curated set of top-performing ads per market, so a narrow filter (one country, one sub-industry, last 7 days) may return only a handful of ads. Widen the period or add countries for more.
- Turn off **Include ad details** for a faster run. You lose comments, shares, landing page and the full country list.
