## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## TikTok Trending Creators Scraper - Rising Creators by Country

Find the TikTok creators trending right now in any of 27 countries. Each creator comes with their username, follower count, bio, a business email when their bio has one, their top-performing videos with views and engagement rate, and the trending hashtags they are driving. No TikTok account or login needed.

### What you get

For each trending creator:

- **Username**, **nickname**, **profile link**, TikTok **user ID** and **avatar**
- **Follower count**
- **Bio** and a ready-to-use **email** pulled from the bio (many brand-ready creators list a management or collab email)
- **Trend score**: how many distinct trending videos and trending hashtags the creator has right now, plus total **chart appearances**
- **Top videos**: video link, caption, publish date, views in the window, lifetime views, organic views, **engagement rate** and 6-second view rate
- **Best video views** and **best engagement rate** as flat columns for easy sorting in Sheets or Excel
- **Trending hashtags** the creator ranks on, with the hashtag's chart rank, the creator's rank, window and industry chart
- **Industries** the creator is trending in (Beauty & Personal Care, Games, Food & Beverage, and more)
- Country code, country name and scrape time

Export to JSON, CSV, Excel or Google Sheets from the **Dataset** tab, or pull results through the API.

### Use cases

- **Influencer discovery**: find creators who are blowing up in your market before their rates go up
- **Influencer outreach and lead generation**: get creators with a business email in their bio, filtered by follower range
- **Micro-influencer search**: set a max follower count to find smaller creators with trending content
- **Competitor and brand research**: see which creators and branded accounts are behind the top-performing videos
- **Talent scouting for agencies and MCNs**: track rising creators per country and industry week by week

### How to use

1. Pick one or more **Countries**
2. Choose a **Time period**: all windows (default, most creators), last 7, 30 or 90 days
3. Optionally pick an **Industry** to only get creators trending in that industry
4. Choose **Sort by**: trend score, followers, top video views or engagement rate
5. Optionally set **Min followers** / **Max followers** to target a follower range
6. Set **Max results** (0 = no limit) and click **Start**. Results appear in the **Dataset** tab

### How many creators will I get?

TikTok shows signed-out visitors only a few entries per trend chart. This actor reads every chart available for a country (each time window, industry, ranking metric and content category) and merges them into one de-duplicated creator list.

| Country | Creators per run (all windows, every industry) |
|---|---|
| United States | about 550-600 |
| Japan, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam | about 500-575 |
| Other supported countries | about 300-335 |

The United States, Japan, Indonesia, Thailand and Vietnam also include creators behind the top-performing videos, which adds bios, emails and video metrics. In other countries creators come from the trending hashtag charts, with username, nickname, followers, avatar and the hashtags they trend on.

Picking a single industry or a single time window returns fewer creators.

### Supported countries

United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Mexico, Egypt, Israel, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Turkey, South Africa, Indonesia, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam.

### Field notes

- **trendScore** = distinct trending videos + distinct trending hashtag placements. **chartAppearances** counts every chart the creator showed up in, so a single viral video ranked by views, engagement and completion counts several times.
- **engagementRate** and **sixSecondViewRate** are fractions (0.0412 = 4.12%).
- **views** is the view count inside the chart's window; **viewsLifetime** is all-time.
- Top videos can include branded and promoted posts, so expect some brand accounts alongside creators.
- **email** is only filled when the creator's bio contains an email address.

### Pricing

Pay-per-event, so you only pay for what you get:

- **Run start**: a small fixed fee once per run
- **Creator**: per creator saved to the dataset

Creators removed by your follower filters, or beyond **Max results**, are not charged. Small runs are fast and cheap: with **Max results** set, the actor reads the strongest charts first and stops once it has enough candidates to rank, so a 10-creator run finishes in seconds. Set **Max results** to 0 to read every chart.

If your follower filters are so narrow that almost no trending creator matches, the run stops early and tells you to widen them, instead of reading every chart for nothing.

### FAQ

**Do I need a TikTok account?** No. The actor reads the public trend charts a signed-out visitor sees.

**Why do some countries return more creators than others?** TikTok publishes top-video charts for only some countries. Elsewhere the actor uses the trending hashtag charts, which list fewer creators and no bio.

**Can I filter by audience country or follower bracket?** Use **Min followers** and **Max followers** for follower brackets. Audience-country filters aren't published without a login.

**How fresh is the data?** Charts are read live on every run. TikTok refreshes them daily, weekly and monthly depending on the window.

# Actor input Schema

## `countries` (type: `array`):

Countries to find trending creators in (27 supported markets). United States, Japan, Indonesia, Thailand and Vietnam also include creators behind the top-performing videos, so they return the most creators.

## `period` (type: `string`):

Trending window. 'All windows' combines the 7, 30 and 90-day charts for the most creators.

## `industry` (type: `string`):

'Every industry' reads all charts (most creators). Pick one industry to only get creators trending in that industry's hashtag charts.

## `sortBy` (type: `string`):

Order of creators within each country. Trend score = number of distinct trending videos plus trending hashtag placements the creator has.

## `minFollowers` (type: `integer`):

Only keep creators with at least this many followers. 0 = no minimum.

## `maxFollowers` (type: `integer`):

Only keep creators with at most this many followers (handy for finding micro-influencers). 0 = no maximum.

## `maxResults` (type: `integer`):

Maximum number of creators to save across the whole run. Smaller numbers finish faster and cost less (the strongest charts are read first). 0 = read every chart, no limit.
