## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Truth Social Scraper - Posts, Profiles & Engagement

Scrape Truth Social posts from any public profile or post link: the full text, when it was posted, reply, ReTruth and like counts, images and videos, link previews, quoted and ReTruthed posts, and the author's follower count and verification status. No login and no Truth Social account needed.

Enter `realDonaldTrump`, press **Start**, and you get the latest posts as clean rows, ready to export to JSON, CSV, Excel or Google Sheets.

### What you get

One row per post:

- **postId**, **url**, **text** (clean plain text with the HTML stripped), **createdAt**, **editedAt**, **language**
- **repliesCount**, **reblogsCount** (ReTruths), **favouritesCount** (likes)
- **isReply**, **inReplyToId**, **isReblog**, **isQuote**, **sensitive**, **spoilerText**
- **hashtags** and **mentions**
- **mediaUrls** plus **media** (`type`, `url`, `previewUrl`, `durationSeconds`), with direct image and MP4 video links
- **linkUrl**, **linkTitle**, **linkDescription**, **linkImage**: the link preview card
- **quotedPost** / **rebloggedPost**: the embedded post (`postId`, `url`, `text`, `createdAt`, `authorUsername`, `authorDisplayName`, `mediaUrls`)
- Author profile on every row: **authorUsername**, **authorDisplayName**, **authorFollowersCount**, **authorFollowingCount**, **authorPostsCount**, **authorVerified**, **authorBio**, **authorWebsite**, **authorAvatarUrl**, **authorProfileUrl**, **authorCreatedAt**
- **inputSource**: the username or post link that produced the row

### Use cases

- **Political monitoring and journalism**: track every post from politicians, officials and campaigns as it happens
- **Market-moving posts**: watch for posts on tariffs, companies or policy that move stocks, crypto and commodities
- **Media and sentiment research**: build datasets of posts and engagement for analysis or reporting
- **Archiving**: keep a timestamped record of posts, including edits, media and quoted posts
- **Engagement analytics**: compare replies, ReTruths and likes across accounts and over time

### How to use

1. Enter one or more **Usernames** (with or without @, or a full profile link like `https://truthsocial.com/@WhiteHouse`).
2. Optionally add **Post links** to scrape individual posts.
3. Set **Max posts per username** (default 50; `0` for everything the profile has).
4. Optionally set **Only posts newer than** to a date (`2026-09-01`) or a period (`7 days`, `12 hours`).
5. Tick **Exclude replies** or **Exclude ReTruths** if you only want original posts.
6. Run the actor. Posts appear in the **Dataset** tab, newest first.

#### Fetching more posts across runs (pagination)

Each run returns up to **Max posts per username**. To continue where a run stopped:

> After the run finishes, open the **Key-value store** tab → copy the `NEXT_PAGE_ID` value → paste it into **Page ID** on your next run. If `NEXT_PAGE_ID` is `null`, you've fetched everything.

With one username, `NEXT_PAGE_ID` is a plain post ID. With several usernames it looks like `whitehouse=117351514139046636,devinnunes=117241172895514101`, and the next run continues only the usernames listed there. Profiles that were fully fetched are left out.

```
Posts that are only an image or video have an empty `text` and their files in `mediaUrls`.
### Pricing
You pay per post returned. Profiles that can't be found and posts filtered out by your settings are never charged.
### Tips
- **Monitoring on a schedule**: set **Only posts newer than** to `1 day` and schedule the actor daily (or `1 hour` hourly) to collect just the new posts.
- **Full history**: set **Max posts per username** to `0`. Very long histories may need several runs; use `NEXT_PAGE_ID` to pick up where each run stopped.
- The link preview card (`linkUrl`) is often the easiest way to see what article or post someone shared.
### FAQ
**Do I need a Truth Social account?**
No. The actor only reads publicly visible posts and profiles.
**Can I get the replies under a post, trending posts or keyword search results?**
Not currently. Truth Social only shows these to logged-in users. The actor covers profile timelines and individual posts.
**Why are some accounts missing?**
Accounts that don't exist, or that Truth Social hides from logged-out visitors, are skipped with a warning in the log. The run still succeeds for the other usernames.
# Actor input Schema
## `usernames` (type: `array`):
Truth Social usernames or profile links, one per line (with or without @), e.g. realDonaldTrump or https://truthsocial.com/@WhiteHouse. Posts are returned newest first.
## `postUrls` (type: `array`):
Individual Truth Social post links (or post IDs) to scrape, e.g. https://truthsocial.com/@realDonaldTrump/posts/117357090030899348. Each returns one row with full details.
## `maxItems` (type: `integer`):
Maximum posts to return for each username in this run. 0 = keep going until the profile has no older posts or the run times out.
## `onlyPostsNewerThan` (type: `string`):
Stop when posts get older than this. Accepts a date (2026-09-01 or a full ISO timestamp) or a relative period like '7 days', '12 hours' or '1 month'. Leave empty for no date limit.
## `excludeReplies` (type: `boolean`):
Skip posts that are replies to other posts, keeping only original posts, quotes and ReTruths.
## `excludeReblogs` (type: `boolean`):
Skip ReTruths (reposts of someone else's post), keeping only posts the profile wrote.
## `pageId` (type: `string`):
Paste NEXT\_PAGE\_ID from the previous run's Key-value store to continue where it stopped. Leave empty to start from the newest post.
## `proxyConfiguration` (type: `object`):
Proxy used to reach Truth Social. The default Apify Proxy works well; there is usually no need to change it.
## Actor input object example
```json
{
  "usernames": [
    "realDonaldTrump"
  ],
  "maxItems": 50,
  "excludeReplies": false,
  "excludeReblogs": false,
  "proxyConfiguration": {
    "useApifyProxy": true
  }
}
```
# Actor output Schema
## `results` (type: `string`):
One post per record: postId, url, text, createdAt, repliesCount, reblogsCount, favouritesCount, media, link preview, quoted/ReTruthed post and author details (username, display name, followers, verified).
## `nextPageId` (type: `string`):
NEXT\_PAGE\_ID record in the default key-value store. Paste into Page ID on the next run to resume; null when all posts were fetched.
