## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## France Company Search (SIRENE): find French companies by NAF code, department, size and revenue

Build **lists of French companies** from the **official open data** (SIRENE + RNE, via the government's *Annuaire des Entreprises* API). Filter by **NAF/APE activity code, department, postal code, region, size band, legal form, revenue** and labels (RGE, Qualiopi, bio, ESS). Every row has **SIREN, head-office SIRET, intra-EU VAT number, address with GPS, employee band, latest revenue and net income**. No login, no proxy, results in seconds.

### Sample output (real run, default input: software companies, head office in Paris)

| Company | SIREN | NAF | Employees | Revenue | Head office |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| SNAPDESK | 849239587 | 62.01Z | 10-19 | €2,036,401 | 75010 PARIS |

### What you can do with it

- **B2B lead lists**: every accounting firm (69.20Z) in Lyon, every electrician (43.21A) in Gironde, every SaaS company (58.29C / 62.01Z) in Île-de-France with 20-49 employees.
- **Market sizing**: count companies per activity, department and size band.
- **CRM enrichment / KYB**: get SIREN, SIRET, VAT number and legal form for a company name.
- **Prospecting by revenue**: companies with published turnover between €1M and €10M.
- **Certified suppliers**: RGE builders, Qualiopi training providers, organic operators.

| `maxItems` | `25` | Stop after N companies |

Example:

```json
{"nafCodes": ["69.20Z"], "departments": ["69"], "employeeBands": ["11","12"], "maxItems": 200}
```

### Output fields

`siren`, `siretHeadOffice`, `name`, `fullName`, `acronym`, `vatNumber`, `legalFormCode`, `nafCode`, `nafSection`, `companyCategory`, `employeeBand`, `employeeBandLabel`, `employeeBandYear`, `createdOn`, `status`, `closedOn`, `address`, `postalCode`, `city`, `inseeCommune`, `department`, `region`, `latitude`, `longitude`, `establishments`, `openEstablishments`, `revenueEur`, `netIncomeEur`, `financialYear`, `isEmployer`, `labels`, `collectiveAgreements`, `sourceUrl`.

Download as JSON, CSV, Excel or HTML, or read it through the API.

### Use from an AI agent (API or MCP)

Add `https://mcp.apify.com?tools=sefran1/france-company-search` to Claude, Cursor, VS Code or any MCP client. Or call the API:

```bash
curl -X POST "https://api.apify.com/v2/acts/sefran1~france-company-search/run-sync-get-dataset-items?token=$APIFY_TOKEN" \
  -H 'Content-Type: application/json' -d '{"nafCodes":["62.01Z"],"departments":["75"],"maxItems":50}'
```

Schedule it in Apify and push new companies to Google Sheets, a webhook, Make or Zapier.

### Pricing

Pay per result: **$0.003 per company ($3 per 1,000)**. No subscription. A search that finds nothing finishes successfully with an empty dataset and costs only the tiny start fee (nothing is charged per result).

### Privacy, data source and limits

- Company-level data only. **No directors, no person names, no personal contact data.** Sole traders (entrepreneurs individuels, whose company name is a person's name) are excluded.
- Data: SIRENE (INSEE) and RNE (INPI) as published by the French administration through the open API *Recherche d'entreprises* (recherche-entreprises.api.gouv.fr), reusable under the Licence Ouverte / Etalab 2.0. Companies that opted out of public release (non-diffusibles) are not in the source.
- The API returns at most 10,000 matches per search. Split very large searches by department or size band.
- Not affiliated with INSEE, INPI or the French government. Check the official record before relying on a result.
