## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## TikTok Profile Videos Scraper

Get every video a TikTok account has posted, newest first, as clean JSON. It costs **$0.019 per 1,000 videos** on every plan. Of
the working TikTok profile Actors we tested on Apify in October 2026 that charge per
video, none costs less.

Each video comes with its caption, post date, views, likes, comments, shares, saves,
hashtags and sound, plus the account's followers, total likes and video count.

### Why use this TikTok profile scraper?

- **Whole histories.** Page back through an account's videos, up to 10,000 per account.
- **Handles or links.** Use `nasa`, `@nasa` or `https://www.tiktok.com/@nasa`.
- **No login, cookies or proxies.** Add accounts and press Start.
- **Batch or live.** Run it in bulk from the Apify Console, or call it like an API and
  page through videos in real time.

### What data can I get from a TikTok profile?

| Video | Account (on every video) |
| --- | --- |
| Video ID, link and type (video or photo post) | Handle, display name and user ID |
| Caption, its language and hashtags | secUid (TikTok's stable account key) |
| Post date and time | Verified badge |
| Views, likes, comments, shares and saves | Followers and following |
| Length in seconds and cover image | Total likes and video count |
| Sound title, author and whether it is original | Profile photo |

### Input

```json
{
  "profiles": ["@nasa", "https://www.tiktok.com/@drduncanthevet"],
  "maxVideosPerProfile": 200
}
```

| Field | What it does |
| --- | --- |
| `profiles` | Handles (`nasa` or `@nasa`) or profile links, one per line |
| `maxVideosPerProfile` | Most videos per account, newest first, up to 10,000. Default 30 |

### Output

One dataset item per video:

```json
{
  "id": "7696092291966029062",
  "url": "https://www.tiktok.com/@drduncanthevet/video/7696092291966029062",
    "original": true
  },
  "input": "https://www.tiktok.com/@drduncanthevet"
}
```

TikTok's image and video links expire after a few days, so download any covers or
avatars you need soon after the run.

### How much does it cost?

**$0.019 per 1,000 videos** on every Apify plan, with no start fee and no monthly fee.
You pay only for videos returned. On normal runs, Apify's own platform costs are
included in the price.

### Live HTTP API

This Actor also runs in Standby mode:

```sh
curl "https://serpdata--tiktok-profile-scraper.apify.actor/videos?user=nasa" \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $APIFY_TOKEN"
```

Each response holds one page of `items` and a `cursor`. Pass the cursor back as
`cursor` for the next page; it is `null` on the last page. You are charged per video
returned. `404` means no account has that handle. Errors return JSON with a `message`
and are never charged; any `5xx` status is safe to retry.

Standby runs cost more than normal runs: Apify also bills you for the Actor's platform
usage, including the 5 minutes it keeps running after your last request.

### Frequently asked questions

#### Is it legal to scrape TikTok profiles?

Videos on public accounts can be read without an account. Whether you can collect and
use them depends on where you are and what you do with the data, so check TikTok's terms
of service and get legal advice for your use case.
