## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## ATS Jobs Search: Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workable, SmartRecruiters, Recruitee & Personio

Get job postings **straight from company career boards**, in one clean format, without logins, browsers or proxies.

This actor reads the public job board feeds of the seven most common applicant tracking systems (ATS):

| Platform | Example board |
|---|---|
| Greenhouse | `https://boards.greenhouse.io/stripe` |
| Lever | `https://jobs.lever.co/spotify` |
| Ashby | `https://jobs.ashbyhq.com/ramp` |
| Workable | `https://apply.workable.com/huggingface` |
| SmartRecruiters | `https://jobs.smartrecruiters.com/BoschGroup` |
| Recruitee | `https://bunq.recruitee.com` |
| Personio | `https://n26.jobs.personio.de` |

**Search ~7,900 companies and 420,000+ open jobs in seconds** with the built-in company directory, refreshed daily, or point it at any company's careers page.

Looking for an Indeed or LinkedIn jobs scraper that doesn't break? Most of those postings originate in these ATS boards. Because the data comes from the employer's own ATS, it is fresher and more complete than job aggregators, with no blocking or proxies: real apply links, departments, remote flags, salary ranges where the company publishes them, and full descriptions.

### What you can do with it

- **Track hiring at a list of companies.** Paste careers page URLs or company names, get every open role.
- **Search thousands of companies at once.** Turn on *Search the company directory* and filter by title keywords, location and remote. A search across all ~420,000 indexed jobs takes a few seconds. Good for job seekers, recruiters and job boards.
- **Monitor new postings.** Turn on *Only new jobs*, schedule a daily run, and you only get (and only pay for) jobs you haven't seen before.
- **Sales and market signals.** Who is hiring "RevOps", "Head of Security" or "Kubernetes" engineers right now? Hiring is one of the best buying-intent signals.
- **Feed AI agents and LLM pipelines.** Plain-text descriptions and a stable schema make it easy to classify, summarise or match jobs.

### Input

You can mix any of these in **Companies**:

- A careers page on the company's own site, e.g. `https://www.notion.so/careers`. The actor finds the embedded Greenhouse/Lever/Ashby/etc. board for you.
- A job board URL, e.g. `https://jobs.lever.co/spotify`.
- A company name, e.g. `Stripe`. The actor looks it up in its directory, then tries each platform.
- An exact `platform:slug`, e.g. `ashby:ramp` or `smartrecruiters:BoschGroup`.

Filters (all optional): title keywords, excluded keywords, locations, remote only, departments, posted within N days. Keywords match whole words in any order, so `data engineer` finds "Senior Data Platform Engineer".

Example input:

```json
{
  "companies": ["https://www.notion.so/careers", "spotify", "ashby:ramp"],
  "keywords": ["product designer", "design engineer"],
  "remoteOnly": true,
  "includeDescription": true
}
```

Search the directory for remote ML roles posted this week:

```json
{
  "searchDirectory": true,
  "keywords": ["machine learning", "ml engineer"],
  "locations": ["remote", "united states"],
  "postedWithinDays": 7,
  "maxJobs": 500
}
```

### Output

One row per job, the same fields for every platform:

```json
{
  "platform": "ashby",
  "companyName": "Vitalize",
  "companySlug": "vitalize",
  "jobId": "468caa64-309e-44d0-b539-54c9fd5ff8d4",
  "title": "Staff Product Designer",
  "department": "Product & Eng",
  "team": "Design",
  "location": "San Francisco HQ",
  "locations": ["San Francisco HQ"],
  "isRemote": false,
  "workplaceType": "hybrid",
  "employmentType": "FullTime",
  "salary": { "min": 230000, "max": 250000, "currency": "USD", "interval": "year", "text": "$230K – $250K • Offers Equity" },
  "postedAt": "2026-10-13T15:31:15.314Z",
  "url": "https://jobs.ashbyhq.com/vitalize/468caa64-309e-44d0-b539-54c9fd5ff8d4",
  "applyUrl": "https://jobs.ashbyhq.com/vitalize/468caa64-309e-44d0-b539-54c9fd5ff8d4/application",
  "description": "Vitalize is ...",
  "scrapedAt": "2026-10-13T23:06:21.000Z"
}
```

Fields a platform doesn't publish are `null`. Salary is filled when the employer publishes it (common on Ashby, Lever, Recruitee and US Greenhouse boards). Export to JSON, CSV, Excel, or pull it through the Apify API, MCP server, Zapier, Make or n8n.

### Pricing

Pay per result:

- **$1.00 per 1,000 jobs** saved to the dataset.
- **$0.02 per run** that uses directory search (covers the daily index of ~8,000 company boards).

Plain company lookups have no start fee. Use *Max jobs* or your run's maximum cost to cap spend; the actor stops cleanly at the limit. With *Only new jobs*, repeat runs only charge for postings you haven't received before.

### Tips

- Directory search without descriptions returns results from the daily index almost instantly. With descriptions on, the actor re-checks only the matching companies live, so closed jobs are dropped and you get the full text.
- `scrapedAt` tells you when a row was fetched (the index time for directory results without descriptions).
- Personio and Recruitee are popular with European companies; Greenhouse, Lever and Ashby with US tech companies.
- If a company isn't found by name, paste its careers page URL instead.

### FAQ

**Is this legal?** The actor only reads public job board feeds that employers publish for job seekers and partner sites. It does not log in, bypass protections, or collect applicant data. Job descriptions are the employers' content; respect their terms when republishing.

**My company isn't in the directory.** Pass its careers page or board URL in *Companies*; any public board on the seven platforms works, directory or not. You can also request it in the Issues tab and we'll add it.

**Need another ATS (Workday, iCIMS, Teamtailor, BambooHR…)?** Request it in the Issues tab; the most-requested platforms get added first.

# Actor input Schema

## `companies` (type: `array`):

Careers page URLs (e.g. https://www.notion.so/careers), job board URLs (e.g. https://jobs.lever.co/spotify), company names (e.g. Stripe), or platform:slug (e.g. ashby:ramp). Leave empty and turn on directory search to search every company we know.

## `searchDirectory` (type: `boolean`):

Also search the built-in directory of thousands of companies that post jobs on these platforms. Use keywords and location filters to keep results focused.

## `platforms` (type: `array`):

Which hiring platforms to search. Applies to directory search and company-name lookups.

## `keywords` (type: `array`):

Keep jobs whose title contains any of these. Every word of a keyword must appear, in any order: "data engineer" matches "Senior Data Platform Engineer".

## `excludeKeywords` (type: `array`):

Drop jobs whose title contains any of these (e.g. intern, principal).

## `locations` (type: `array`):

Keep jobs whose location contains any of these (city, state, country or "remote"). Case-insensitive.
