## What's an Apify Actor?

Actors are web data automations that power AI and operations. They run on the Apify platform to scrape websites, process data, connect APIs, and automate workflows.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.
Actors are written with capital "A".

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.
The best way to integrate Actors is as follows.

- **AI agents and MCP clients** — the [Apify MCP server](https://docs.apify.com/integrations/mcp.md) at `https://mcp.apify.com` (remote, streamable HTTP, OAuth on first use).
- **Agentic workflows and local Actor development** — [Agent Skills](https://apify.com/.well-known/agent-skills/index.json) with the [Apify CLI](https://docs.apify.com/cli/docs.md): `npm install -g apify-cli`, then `apify login`.
- **JavaScript/TypeScript projects** — the official [JS/TS client](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md): `npm install apify-client`.
- **Python projects** — the official [Python client](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md): `pip install apify-client`.
- **Any other language** — the [REST API](https://docs.apify.com/api/v2.md).

For usage examples, see the [API](#api) section below.

## InfoJobs Spain Jobs Scraper

Scrapes public job listings from [infojobs.net](https://www.infojobs.net) (Spain) by **keyword**.

### What it does

- Searches InfoJobs' public job board (no login, no API key).
- Fetches up to 10 jobs per result page.
- Collects: title, URL, company, location, work mode, posted date, short description.
- Deduplicates by InfoJobs offer ID.
- Stops cleanly at the configured page limit, result cap, or runtime budget.

### What it does NOT do

- No login-based features (saved jobs, applications).
- No full job description (InfoJobs detail pages are JS-rendered; the card provides a short description).
- No salary (not shown on search results).

### Input

| Field | Type | Default | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| `keywords` | string | — | **Required.** e.g. `desarrollador` |
| `maxPages` | integer | `40` | Result pages (10 jobs/page), max 2000 |
| `maxTotalResults` | integer | `2000` | Hard cap on saved jobs, max 50000 |

### Output (dataset item)

| Field | Type | Description |
|---|---|---|
| `id` | string | InfoJobs offer ID |
| `source` | string | `infojobs` |
| `country` | string | `es` |
| `title` | string | Job title |
| `url` | string | Absolute job URL |
| `salaryLabel` | string | Empty (not available on search) |
| `location` | string | Job location |
| `employmentType` | string | Work mode (e.g. Híbrido, Teletrabajo) |
| `postedBy` | string | Company / recruiter |
| `postedDate` | string | Date as displayed (e.g. Hace 18h) |
| `description` | string | Short description from the card |

### Limits

- Global result cap: `maxTotalResults` (applied in code, not just declared).
- Page cap: `maxPages` (10 jobs per page).
- Runtime budget: 2 hours, checked between pages.
- Response size cap: 10 MB per page.
- HTTP retries (3) with backoff on 429/5xx, respecting `Retry-After`.

### Local development

```bash
python3 -m unittest discover -s tests -v            # unit tests (offline)
```

### Deploy

```bash
apify push
```

You can run this Actor programmatically using our API. Below are code examples in JavaScript, Python, and CLI, as well as the OpenAPI specification and MCP server setup.

## JavaScript example

```javascript
import { ApifyClient } from 'apify-client';
// Initialize the ApifyClient with your Apify API token
// Replace the '<YOUR_API_TOKEN>' with your token
const client = new ApifyClient({
    token: '<YOUR_API_TOKEN>',
});
// Prepare Actor input
const input = {
    "keywords": "desarrollador",
    "location": ""
};
// Run the Actor and wait for it to finish
const run = await client.actor("skillsvaults/infojobs-jobs-spain-scraper").call(input);
// Fetch and print Actor results from the run's dataset (if any)
console.log('Results from dataset');
console.log(`💾 Check your data here: https://console.apify.com/storage/datasets/${run.defaultDatasetId}`);
