## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

## Workday Jobs Scraper

### What does Workday Jobs Scraper do?

Many large companies host their careers page on Workday. This Actor collects the open positions from those sites and returns them as structured data, so you can track hiring, build job boards, or monitor specific employers without copying listings by hand.

### What data do you get?

Each job includes: title, company, location, country, timeType, postedOn, postedDate, jobId, url.

### Use cases

- Track new openings at target companies
- Feed a niche job board or newsletter
- Analyze hiring trends by location or country

Export results as JSON, CSV, Excel, or pull them via the Apify API.

### ✨ Features

- 🏢 **Many companies in one run**: paste any number of Workday career site URLs (job URLs work too).
- 🔎 **Keyword search**, same as the search box on the career site.
- 🌍 **Location filters** such as `Germany`, `London` or `Remote`, matched against each site's own location filter.
- 📅 **Posted within N days** for fresh jobs only.
- 🔔 **Only-new-jobs mode** remembers what you already received. Schedule it daily and send new jobs to Slack, email, Google Sheets or your ATS.
- 📝 **Full job details** (optional): description, all locations, country + ISO code, time type, exact posting date, hiring entity.
- 💸 **Pay only for results**, no subscription.

### 🚀 How to use

1. Open the careers page of a company that uses Workday. The URL looks like `https://<company>.wd5.myworkdayjobs.com/<SiteName>` (sometimes with `/en-US/` in between).
2. Paste the URL(s) into **Workday career site URLs**.
3. Optionally add keywords, location filters and a date limit.
4. Click **Start**, then download the results as JSON, CSV or Excel, or fetch them via the API.

### 📥 Input example

```json
{
  "careerSiteUrls": [
    "https://nvidia.wd5.myworkdayjobs.com/NVIDIAExternalCareerSite",
    "https://salesforce.wd12.myworkdayjobs.com/en-US/External_Career_Site"
  ],
  "searchText": "data engineer",
  "locationFilters": ["Germany", "Remote"],
  "postedWithinDays": 7,
  "includeDetails": true,
  "maxJobsPerSite": 200,
  "onlyNewJobs": false
}
```

### 📤 Output example

```json
{
  "company": "nvidia",
  "hiringOrganization": "DE01 NVIDIA Germany",
  "careerSite": "NVIDIAExternalCareerSite",
  "careerSiteUrl": "https://nvidia.wd5.myworkdayjobs.com/NVIDIAExternalCareerSite",
  "title": "Relational Foundation Model Engineer, Modern Data Stack",
  "jobId": "JR2020224",
  "url": "https://nvidia.wd5.myworkdayjobs.com/NVIDIAExternalCareerSite/job/Germany-Munich/Relational-Foundation-Model-Engineer--Modern-Data-Stack_JR2020224",
  "location": "Germany, Munich",
  "additionalLocations": ["UK, Remote", "Switzerland, Remote", "Germany, Remote", "France, Remote"],
  "country": "Germany",
  "countryCode": "DE",
  "timeType": "Full time",
  "postedOn": "Posted 7 Days Ago",
  "postedDaysAgo": 7,
  "postedDate": "2026-09-30",
  "startDate": "2026-09-30",
  "canApply": true,
  "descriptionHtml": "<p>Our work at NVIDIA is dedicated towards ...</p>",
  "descriptionText": "Our work at NVIDIA is dedicated towards ...",
  "scrapedAt": "2026-10-07T22:18:41.326Z"
}
```

Turn **Include full job details** off to get listing fields only (title, URL, location summary, posted date, req ID). That is faster and lighter.

### 💡 Who uses it

- **Job seekers**: daily alerts for new roles at your target companies, filtered by keyword and country.
- **Recruiters & staffing agencies**: see which companies are hiring for which roles.
- **Sales & lead generation**: hiring signals, e.g. "company X is hiring 12 data engineers in Germany".
- **Job boards & aggregators**: fresh postings straight from employer career sites.
- **Labour-market research & AI datasets**: structured job descriptions at scale.

### 💰 Pricing

Pay per result: a small fixed price per job saved to the dataset, with platform compute included. A run that returns 100 jobs costs a few cents. Use **Max jobs per career site** and **Max jobs in total** to cap your spend.

### ❓ FAQ

**How do I know a company uses Workday?** Its job links point to `myworkdayjobs.com` (or `myworkdaysite.com`).

**Why is `postedDate` sometimes approximate?** Workday lists relative dates ("Posted 3 Days Ago", "30+ Days Ago"). With details enabled, the exact posting date from the job page is used.

**The location filter didn't match?** Every company names locations differently. The Actor matches your terms (partial, case-insensitive) against the site's own location filter and logs what matched. If nothing matches, it falls back to filtering by each job's location text.

**Is this legal?** The Actor only reads job postings that employers publish publicly for anyone to see, without logging in, and it does not collect personal data. Use the data responsibly and in line with the laws that apply to you.

**Missing a field or another ATS?** Open an issue on the Actor's Issues tab. Feedback is very welcome.

# Actor input Schema

## `careerSiteUrls` (type: `array`):

One or more public Workday career site URLs, e.g. https://nvidia.wd5.myworkdayjobs.com/NVIDIAExternalCareerSite. Open the company's careers page, click a job and copy the URL up to the site name (job URLs are also accepted).

## `searchText` (type: `string`):

Optional keyword search, same as the search box on the career site (e.g. "data engineer"). Leave empty to get all jobs.

## `locationFilters` (type: `array`):

Optional. Country, city or 'Remote'. Matched against the site's own location filters (case-insensitive, partial match), e.g. \["Germany", "Remote"].

## `postedWithinDays` (type: `integer`):

Only return jobs posted in the last N days (0 = no limit). Workday reports '30+ days' for older jobs.

## `includeDetails` (type: `boolean`):

Fetch each job's detail page: full description (HTML + plain text), all locations, country, time type, posting start date. Turn off for a faster, lighter listing-only run.

## `maxJobsPerSite` (type: `integer`):

Maximum jobs to save from each career site (0 = unlimited).

## `maxJobs` (type: `integer`):

Overall cap across all sites (0 = unlimited).

## `onlyNewJobs` (type: `boolean`):

Remember jobs returned in previous runs and output only jobs you haven't seen yet. Perfect for daily schedules + email/Slack integrations.

## `stateKey` (type: `string`):

Use different keys to keep separate 'seen jobs' memories for different schedules/tasks.

## `maxConcurrency` (type: `integer`):

Parallel detail requests per site. Keep it low to be polite.
