## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Workday Career Site Jobs Scraper

### What it does

This Actor collects public job postings from career sites hosted on Workday (myworkdayjobs.com). Give it one or more company career site URLs and it returns a clean, structured dataset of open roles: job title, location, posted date (both the original Workday text and an estimated ISO date), requisition id, time type, canonical job URL and, optionally, the full job description as HTML and plain text. A new-jobs-only mode remembers which postings were already delivered so scheduled runs return only fresh openings, which makes it ideal for monitoring.

### Use cases

- Recruiters and staffing agencies tracking new openings at target accounts.
- Sales teams using hiring activity as a buying signal.
- Labor market analysts and HR tech platforms building job feeds.
- Job boards and aggregators enriching listings from Workday employers.
- Competitive intelligence on which teams and locations a company is growing.

### Input

- startUrls (required): list of Workday career site URLs, such as https://nvidia.wd5.myworkdayjobs.com/NVIDIAExternalCareerSite. Locale segments like /en-US/ are handled automatically. Up to 20 sites per run.
- searchText: optional keyword filter applied by Workday search.
- maxJobsPerSite: 1 to 1000 records per site (default 20).
- includeDescription: fetch detail data for each job (default true).
- newJobsOnly: output only jobs not seen in earlier runs (default false).

### Output

Each dataset item contains: id (stable, tenant/site/job based), url (canonical https job URL), title, company (Workday tenant), site, location, postedOnText, postedDate (estimated ISO date), jobReqId, timeType, descriptionText, descriptionHtml, sourceUrl and scrapedAt.

### Example

Input:

{
"startUrls": \["https://nvidia.wd5.myworkdayjobs.com/NVIDIAExternalCareerSite"],
"maxJobsPerSite": 20,
"includeDescription": true,
"newJobsOnly": false
}

Sample output:

{
"id": "nvidia:NVIDIAExternalCareerSite:JR1990001",
"url": "https://nvidia.wd5.myworkdayjobs.com/NVIDIAExternalCareerSite/job/US-CA-Santa-Clara/Senior-Software-Engineer_JR1990001",
"title": "Senior Software Engineer",
"company": "nvidia",
"site": "NVIDIAExternalCareerSite",
"location": "US, CA, Santa Clara",
"postedOnText": "Posted 2 Days Ago",
"postedDate": "2026-10-24",
"jobReqId": "JR1990001",
"timeType": "Full time",
"descriptionText": "We are looking for...",
"scrapedAt": "2026-10-26T10:00:00.000Z"
}

### Limits and data provenance

Data comes exclusively from the public JSON endpoints (/wday/cxs/{tenant}/{site}/jobs) that Workday career sites themselves call in the browser. No login, credentials or access-control bypass is used, and only job posting information published by employers is collected; no candidate or private personal data is gathered. Workday search lists at most 20 jobs per page, and the Actor caps runs at 20 sites and 1000 jobs per site with polite sequential requests and retries. postedDate is estimated from relative text such as 'Posted 3 Days Ago'; '30+ Days Ago' yields an approximate date. Site structures may change; failures on one site are logged and do not stop others. Users are responsible for using the data in line with applicable laws and the sites' terms.

# Actor input Schema

## `startUrls` (type: `array`):

Public Workday career site URLs, e.g. https://nvidia.wd5.myworkdayjobs.com/NVIDIAExternalCareerSite. Maximum 20 sites per run.

## `searchText` (type: `string`):

Optional keyword filter passed to the Workday site search, e.g. 'engineer'. Leave empty for all jobs.

## `maxJobsPerSite` (type: `integer`):

Upper bound of job records collected per career site (1-1000). Keeps runs and costs predictable.

## `includeDescription` (type: `boolean`):

When enabled, fetches each job detail page to add the full description, requisition id and time type.

## `newJobsOnly` (type: `boolean`):

When enabled, only jobs not seen in previous runs are output. Seen ids are kept in a named key-value store.
