## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## App Reviews Scraper: App Store & Google Play

Scrape **app reviews from the Apple App Store and Google Play in a single run**. Paste app links from either store, pick the countries, and get every review in **one clean, identical format**: stars, title, text, date, app version, helpful votes and the developer's reply.

Fast and cheap: no browser, no proxies needed. Hundreds of reviews in seconds.

### Why this one?

- **Both stores, one schema.** Compare your iOS and Android reviews side by side, no merging of two different exports.
- **Many countries at once.** Run the same apps in `us`, `gb`, `es`, `de`, `br`... and see what each market says.
- **Filters that save money.** Only 1–2 star reviews, only reviews since a date, newest or most relevant first. You only pay for the reviews you keep.
- **App details on every row** (name, developer, overall rating, number of ratings), ready for dashboards and spreadsheets.

### Use cases

- **Product teams:** find the bugs and feature requests users complain about after each release.
- **Competitor research:** read what users love and hate about competing apps, in every market.
- **Customer support & ASO:** track ratings by version and country, spot reviews that need a developer reply.
- **AI and sentiment analysis:** feed clean review text into your LLM, BI tool or classifier.

### Input

| Field | What it does |
|---|---|
| **Apps** | App Store or Google Play links, Google Play package names (`com.spotify.music`) or App Store IDs (`324684580`). Mix both stores. |
| **Countries** | Two-letter codes: `us`, `gb`, `es`, `de`, `fr`, `br`... Each app is scraped in each country. |
| **Max reviews per app and country** | Stop after this many reviews. |
| **Sort** | Newest first or most relevant first. |
| **Star ratings** | Only these stars, e.g. 1 and 2 for complaints. |
| **Reviews since** | Only reviews on or after this date. |
| **Google Play language** | Language for Google Play reviews, e.g. `en`, `es`. |
| **Add app details** | App name, developer and overall rating on every row. |

```json
{
  "apps": [
    "https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.spotify.music",
    "https://apps.apple.com/us/app/spotify-music-and-podcasts/id324684580"
  ],
  "countries": ["us", "gb"],
  "maxReviewsPerApp": 500,
  "ratings": ["1", "2"],
  "since": "2026-09-01"
}
```

### Output

```json
{
  "store": "Google Play",
  "appId": "com.spotify.music",
  "country": "us",
  "appName": "Spotify: Music and Podcasts",
  "developer": "Spotify AB",
  "appRating": 4.35,
  "appRatingsCount": 36528852,
  "appUrl": "https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.spotify.music&hl=en&gl=us",
  "reviewId": "b4c7cd97-afa8-4d84-838b-d21bd2676eca",
  "userName": "Moon Anonymia",
  "rating": 1,
  "title": null,
  "text": "It doesn't shuffle music at all anymore...",
  "date": "2026-10-23T01:14:58Z",
  "appVersion": null,
  "thumbsUp": 0,
  "developerReply": "Hi. Thanks for reaching out...",
  "developerReplyDate": "2026-10-23T09:12:00Z"
}
```

App Store reviews have a `title`; Google Play reviews have `developerReply` when the developer answered. Dates are UTC.

### Good to know

- **App Store limit:** Apple's public feed serves the latest **500 reviews per country**. To get more App Store reviews, add more countries.
- **Google Play** has no fixed limit: set the max you need.
- Apps that don't exist in a country are skipped with a warning in the log.

### Pricing

Pay per review: you only pay for the reviews saved to your dataset, with no monthly fee.

### Integrations

Schedule it daily or weekly and send new reviews to Google Sheets, Slack, Zapier, Make, n8n or your own API with Apify integrations and webhooks.

### Support

Missing a field or found a bug? Open an issue on the **Issues** tab and it will be fixed quickly.

If this Actor saves you time, a quick ⭐ review helps a lot and keeps it maintained. Thank you!
