## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

### LinkedIn Phone Number Scraper — Numbers, Page Links and Page Text

LinkedIn Phone Number Scraper finds phone numbers that public LinkedIn pages show for your keywords and the country you choose. Each result returns the number in international format, the page link, the page title and the public text the number appears in. Every response is structured JSON — ready to pass directly to an LLM, index into a vector store, or feed a lead-generation pipeline. **No LinkedIn account or login needed** to run a search. Add more keywords to cover more LinkedIn pages in one run.

### How to use LinkedIn Phone Number Scraper

Marketers, recruiters and lead-generation teams use this actor to find phone numbers on LinkedIn without browsing it by hand.

**Copy to your AI assistant:**

```text
LinkedIn Phone Number Scraper is an Apify Actor that returns phone numbers found on public LinkedIn pages as structured JSON: platform, keyword, page title, page description, page URL, phone number, country and dial code. Use it whenever someone needs LinkedIn phone numbers without cookies, a login, or a browser - for lead-generation lists, local-market research, or recruiter outreach. Inputs: keywords (array of search terms, usernames or LinkedIn URLs, required), country (select from 194 countries or "Global", required), maxPhoneNumbers (integer 1-10000, default 10, how many numbers to collect per keyword), engine (select "legacy", default "legacy"), proxyConfiguration (object, defaults to Apify Proxy; a run without any proxy stops at once). The free Apify plan caps results at 20 per run in total (all keywords together) and 200 per month.
```

#### LinkedIn Phone Number Scraper MCP Server: use these Actors from ChatGPT, Claude or Cursor

Register LinkedIn Phone Number Scraper as a tool your AI assistant can call directly — no glue code, no scraping logic in your prompts.

```bash
claude mcp add --transport http apify "https://mcp.apify.com?tools=socialdataapi/linkedin-phone-number-scraper"
```

#### Step by step

1. [Create a free Apify account](https://console.apify.com/sign-up).
2. Open [LinkedIn Phone Number Scraper](https://apify.com/socialdataapi/linkedin-phone-number-scraper) in the Apify Store.
3. Enter one or more keywords, usernames or LinkedIn URLs, plus the country whose numbers you want.
4. Click **Start**.
5. Download or stream your results in JSON, CSV or Excel.

#### How to scale LinkedIn Phone Number Scraper to bulk

Scale up to scrape LinkedIn profile phone numbers across every search term you want covered in one run: `keywords` takes a list, so add every keyword, username or LinkedIn URL in one Input field — up to 3 keywords are processed at the same time, each with its own `maxPhoneNumbers` budget. To cover more ground over time, schedule the Actor with a rotating keyword list, or call it from the Apify API with a different `keywords`/`country` pair per run.

### ✨ Features

LinkedIn Phone Number Scraper is an linkedin phone number finder for public LinkedIn pages: point it at a keyword and a country, and it returns clean, structured matches. It's built for linkedin phone number lead generation, local-market research, recruiter outreach and B2B prospecting.

It extracts, per match:

- **Phone number** – the number in E.164 international form.
- **Page title** – the page's title as listed.
- **Page description** – the public text the number appears in.
- **Country / dial code** – the country the number was matched against.
- **Page URL** – the LinkedIn page link, without tracking parameters.

⚡ Country-aware validation checks the number's digit count and, where known, its national numbering plan, so dates, prices and other digit runs that only look like a phone number never make it into the dataset. Each number appears at most once per keyword.

***

### Use cases 💡

- **Sales rep** — find phone numbers on LinkedIn for a niche before cold-calling.
- **Recruiter** — run this linkedin profile phone number finder before outreach.
- **Local-market researcher** — map the public numbers of one niche in one country.
- **Growth marketer** — scrape linkedin phone numbers to seed a cold-outreach list from public pages.
- **AI agent builder** — feed matched numbers straight into a CRM-enrichment or lead-scoring pipeline with no parsing step.

### Why choose this actor?

- **Several searches per keyword.** Every keyword is searched several ways (exact, broader, recent, with "call" and "whatsapp") until it reaches `maxPhoneNumbers` or the results run out.
- **Eight fields per match, not just a number.** Every row also carries the page title, the public text the number appeared in, the page link, the matched country and dial code.
- **194 countries, built-in fallback.** Numbers are checked against 194 countries' dial codes (plus a Global catch-all); when the primary source returns too little, a backup source is searched too.

A recorded local test run returned 10 phone numbers for the keyword `contact` (India (+91)) in 24.3 seconds.

### ⬇️ Input

![LinkedIn Phone Number Scraper input form with example values](https://api.apify.com/v2/key-value-stores/WYkyEfqs10huyXYxr/records/m-linkedin-phone-input.webp)

Enter one or more keywords, usernames or LinkedIn URLs (required) and the country whose numbers you want (required); the rest is optional and has a working default.

| Parameter | Required | Type | Description | Example value |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| `keywords` | Yes | Array of strings | Keywords, usernames or LinkedIn URLs. Each one is searched on its own and gets its own budget of `maxPhoneNumbers`; usernames/URLs are reduced to the handle and duplicates are dropped. | `["contact"]` |
| `country` | Yes | String (select) | Country whose phone numbers you want, from 194 countries, or `Global` for no filter (only `+`/`00`-prefixed numbers are kept). | `"India (+91)"` |
| `maxPhoneNumbers` | No | Integer | How many phone numbers to collect per keyword (1–10,000, default 10). Free-plan runs are capped at 20 per run in total (all keywords together) and 200 per month. | `10` |
| `engine` | No | String (select) | Processing engine. There is one engine (`legacy`). | `"legacy"` |
| `proxyConfiguration` | No | Object | Proxy used for the requests. Defaults to Apify Proxy; without any proxy the run stops at once with a message. | `{"useApifyProxy": true}` |

#### Free plan limits

Users on the Apify free plan can fetch up to 20 phone numbers per run (all keywords together) and 200 phone numbers per month. When the limit is reached, the run finishes successfully with a status message explaining the limit. Upgrade to any paid Apify plan to remove these limits.

#### Example input

```json
{
  "keywords": ["contact"],
  "country": "India (+91)",
  "maxPhoneNumbers": 10,
  "engine": "legacy",
  "proxyConfiguration": { "useApifyProxy": true }
}
```

### ⬆️ Output

![LinkedIn Phone Number Scraper output fields with example values](https://api.apify.com/v2/key-value-stores/WYkyEfqs10huyXYxr/records/m-linkedin-phone-output.webp)

Every match from this linkedin business phone number finder is one typed, normalized JSON item with the same schema on every run. Numbers are de-duplicated per keyword, and each (URL, number) pair appears once. Export as JSON, CSV or Excel.

#### Example output

```json
{
  "platform": "Linkedin.com",
  "keyword": "contact",
  "title": "Vastvik Films | LinkedIn",
  "description": "Whether you're a brand looking to make an impact or an individual with a story to share, we're here to turn your Ideas into Reality. 📧 Contact Us: 📞 Phone: + 91 -70157 28626 📧 Email:...",
  "url": "https://in.linkedin.com/company/vastvikfilms",
  "phone_number": "+917015728626",
  "country": "India",
  "dial_code": "+91"
}
### How does it work?
LinkedIn Phone Number Scraper doesn't log into LinkedIn at all. For every keyword, it works to extract phone numbers from LinkedIn posts and other public pages that show a phone number matching your chosen country — first on a primary source, then automatically on a backup source when the primary returns too little. It only reads pages any logged-out visitor could already see; no account, cookies or browser session on LinkedIn itself is ever opened. The number is read from the page's public title and text, normalised to international E.164 form, and checked against the chosen country's dial code and, where known, its national numbering-plan digit length, so dates, prices and other digit runs that only look like a phone number are never mistaken for one. Requests go through rotating proxy sessions, and a blocked request is retried automatically with a fresh session before giving up on that keyword. The output schema stays the same eight fields on every run, even as LinkedIn's own layout changes over time.
### How do you integrate LinkedIn Phone Number Scraper into your stack?
This works with what you already use: call it from any language over the REST API, connect it to an AI agent over MCP, or wire it into a no-code tool — whether you use it as a linkedin contact phone number extractor in a script or as a scheduled no-code workflow.
#### No-code tools (n8n, Make, LangChain)
In n8n, use the Apify node's **Run an Actor** action, or the HTTP Request node pointed at the Actor's run-sync endpoint with your Apify token. In Make, use the Apify app's **Run an Actor** module followed by **Get Dataset Items**. In LangChain, install `langchain-apify` and call `ApifyActorsTool()` to let an agent run it as a tool.
#### MCP integration for AI agents
```bash
claude mcp add --transport http apify "https://mcp.apify.com?tools=socialdataapi/linkedin-phone-number-scraper"
```
This registers LinkedIn Phone Number Scraper as a tool your agent can call directly. It works with Claude Code, Cursor, Windsurf and any other MCP-compatible client.
### Is it legal to scrape LinkedIn data?
Running an linkedin public phone number lookup against publicly available data, including public LinkedIn pages, is generally permitted; the legal risk sits mostly in how the data is stored and used afterward. LinkedIn Phone Number Scraper returns only publicly available data — what any logged-out visitor already sees. If you operate in the EU, GDPR still applies to storing and using numbers you collect. In countries with telemarketing or anti-spam rules, outreach to a number found this way is still subject to those rules — the Actor finds public numbers, it does not grant permission to contact them. Consult legal counsel if your use case involves bulk storage of personal data.
### Frequently asked questions
#### What fields does LinkedIn Phone Number Scraper return?
The phone number, the page title, the page description, the page URL, the keyword, the platform, the matched country and its dial code. See [the data fields section](#what-data-can-i-extract-with-linkedin-phone-number-scraper).
#### Does LinkedIn Phone Number Scraper require a LinkedIn account or login?
No. Only public pages are read, and no LinkedIn credentials are ever requested.
#### How fast does LinkedIn Phone Number Scraper run?
A recorded run returned 10 phone numbers for the keyword `contact` (India) in 24.3 seconds. Results come from a live search each run, never a cache.
#### Why does the run stop with "No proxy available"?
The actor needs a proxy. Leave Apify Proxy switched on (the default) or add your own proxy URLs in the Proxy configuration.
#### What happens if a LinkedIn page is private?
A private profile contributes nothing: the Actor only reads what is public, and a keyword with no public page showing a matching-country number produces no row.
#### Can I search many keywords at once?
Yes. `keywords` takes a list, with up to 3 keywords processed at the same time, each with its own `maxPhoneNumbers` budget.
#### Does LinkedIn Phone Number Scraper work with Claude, ChatGPT, and other AI agent tools?
Yes — LinkedIn Phone Number Scraper is available as an MCP tool.
```bash
claude mcp add --transport http apify "https://mcp.apify.com?tools=socialdataapi/linkedin-phone-number-scraper"
```
Any agent that can call an HTTP endpoint can use the REST API directly.
#### Does LinkedIn Phone Number Scraper return data in a format LLMs can use directly?
Yes. Every result is typed, normalized JSON with consistent field names — no HTML parsing, no selectors.
#### What happens when LinkedIn changes its layout or updates its anti-bot system?
The actor reads general page text rather than one fixed selector, so most layout changes don't break it outright. When a bigger change happens, the actor is updated and your calls keep returning the same JSON schema.
#### Can I use LinkedIn Phone Number Scraper without managing proxies or browser infrastructure?
Yes. Proxy rotation and retries run on the Actor's side — plain HTTP requests, no headless browser setup, no maintenance.
#### Which fields work best for AI training data and RAG indexing?
Index the page title and the page description, since that's the text the number was found in. The country and dial code fields are typed strings you can group and join on directly.
# Actor input Schema
## `keywords` (type: `array`):
Keywords, or LinkedIn profile (linkedin.com/in/<name>) or company (linkedin.com/company/<name>) URLs. URLs are reduced to the handle or post code. Each entry is searched on its own and gets its own budget of maxPhoneNumbers results. The keyword field of every row keeps the value exactly as you entered it; duplicates are dropped.
## `country` (type: `string`):
Country whose phone numbers you want. Its dialling code narrows the search and every number is normalised to international form (E.164) for this country; numbers that cannot belong to it are dropped. Global = no country filter: only numbers written with an explicit +/00 country code are kept.
## `maxPhoneNumbers` (type: `integer`):
How many phone numbers to collect for each keyword (1-10000). A keyword stops earlier when the results run out. Free plan users are limited to 20 items per run in total (across all keywords) and 200 items per month; paid plans have no limit.
## `engine` (type: `string`):
Processing engine. There is one engine: primary source first, backup source when the primary returns too little.
## `proxyConfiguration` (type: `object`):
Proxy used for the requests. Apify Proxy is recommended and on by default: the primary source and the backup source each use a matching Apify Proxy group, and blocked requests are retried with new proxy sessions. Without any proxy the run stops at once with a message.
