## Google Play Reviews API

Extract public Google Play reviews for Android apps and receive normalized Dataset rows that are easy to use in analytics, dashboards, market research, customer-feedback pipelines, AI agents, and app-monitoring workflows.

Provide one or more Android package IDs such as `com.whatsapp` or `com.spotify.music`. You can also provide one or more storefront countries. The Actor runs every app-country pair independently, deduplicates each pair by the public review ID, and returns structured fields such as rating, review text, publication date, helpful-vote count, app version, developer reply, and a source marker.

### Stable fixed-count collection

The production path uses the scraper library's fixed-count collection mode with `paginate=false`. This is intentional. Internal stability testing found that the separate single-page continuation-token mode can have unstable page membership for some high-volume apps, while the fixed-count collection path remained stable across repeated production benchmarks.

`reviewsPerAppCountry` controls the maximum number of reviews requested for every app-country pair. For example, two apps, two countries, and 100 reviews per pair can produce up to 400 Dataset rows before filtering.

### Incremental workflows

Use `knownReviewIds` to suppress reviews you have already processed. You can also provide `publishedAfter` as an ISO-8601 lower bound. These filters are applied after public reviews are retrieved, so your downstream system can maintain its own incremental state without requiring a Google account.

### Privacy

`includeReviewerName` is **false by default**. When disabled, reviewer display names are not persisted to the Dataset. Enable it only if the public display name is genuinely necessary for your workflow. Ratings, review text, dates, app versions, and developer responses remain available independently.

### Stability verification

`verifyStability=true` repeats each source request and compares review IDs. This is useful for private benchmarking and publication preflight, but it doubles source traffic and should normally remain disabled for ordinary production runs.

### Output

Each Dataset row represents one review within one app-country pair. The default output also links to a structured `SUMMARY` record and a human-readable `REPORT`.

The Actor does **not claim complete historical Google Play review coverage**. Google Play exposes a public review surface whose ordering and accessible depth can change over time. Use the Actor for current public-review extraction and monitoring rather than as a guaranteed archival source.

### Billing

The Actor uses pay-per-event billing. A `review-result` event is charged when reviews are successfully delivered to the default Dataset. The configured Actor-start event is applied separately by the platform.
