## Pricing

from $0.70 / 1,000 tender results

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

Actors are web data automations that power AI and operations. They run on the Apify platform to scrape websites, process data, connect APIs, and automate workflows.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.
Actors are written with capital "A".

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.
The best way to integrate Actors is as follows.

- **AI agents and MCP clients** — the [Apify MCP server](https://docs.apify.com/integrations/mcp.md) at `https://mcp.apify.com` (remote, streamable HTTP, OAuth on first use).
- **Agentic workflows and local Actor development** — [Agent Skills](https://apify.com/.well-known/agent-skills/index.json) with the [Apify CLI](https://docs.apify.com/cli/docs.md): `npm install -g apify-cli`, then `apify login`.
- **JavaScript/TypeScript projects** — the official [JS/TS client](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md): `npm install apify-client`.
- **Python projects** — the official [Python client](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md): `pip install apify-client`.
- **Any other language** — the [REST API](https://docs.apify.com/api/v2.md).

For usage examples, see the [API](#api) section below.

# README

## TED EU Tenders API

Search published European public-procurement notices through the official TED Search API v3.

The Actor uses TED's anonymous Search API, so it does not require a TED account or API key. It does not use a browser or proxy.

### Deterministic traversal

The Actor accepts a TED expert-search filter in `filterQuery`, but deliberately does not accept a custom sort clause. It appends:

`SORT BY publication-number DESC`

and traverses results with TED's official `ITERATION` pagination mode.

This design follows live stability evidence: publication-date ordering can contain large tied cohorts, while publication-number ordering produced repeatable first pages and repeatable multi-page traversals in the private determinism benchmark.

### Input

- `filterQuery` — TED expert-search filter, without `SORT BY`.
- `maxResults` — maximum unique notices written to the Dataset, from 1 to 1000.
- `pageSize` — ITERATION page size, from 10 to the official maximum of 250.
- `scope` — `ALL` or `ACTIVE`.

Example:

```json
{
  "filterQuery": "PD>=20260901",
  "maxResults": 200,
  "pageSize": 100,
  "scope": "ALL"
}
```

### Output

Each Dataset row is one normalized TED notice with:

- publication number and date,
- title,
- buyer names,
- buyer countries,
- CPV codes,
- tender deadlines when present,
- a direct TED detail URL.

The run summary reports the effective deterministic query, API-call count, exact result bound, field coverage, and token traversal metadata.

### Data source

This Actor uses the official TED Search API v3 at `api.ted.europa.eu`. Published-notice search is openly accessible and targeted at data reusers. TED's ITERATION mode supports token-based traversal without the 15,000-document cap that applies to PAGE\_NUMBER mode; individual pages are still bounded by TED's per-page limit.

The Actor itself additionally caps customer output at 1,000 notices per run for predictable runtime and resource usage.

### Caveats

Deadlines are not present on every published notice. Some fields can contain multiple values, so buyers, countries, CPV codes, and deadlines are normalized as arrays.

TED expert-query syntax is passed to the official API after the Actor verifies that the user has not supplied a custom `SORT BY`. Invalid expert filters are rejected by TED rather than silently rewritten.

### Pricing and billing

This Actor uses Apify pay-per-event pricing.

The primary result event is `tender-result`. One event corresponds to one normalized TED notice successfully written to the default Dataset. The synthetic `apify-actor-start` event is charged by the platform at run start.

The Actor uses Apify's event-specific charging manager and stops emitting results if the event charge limit is reached.

# Actor input Schema

## `filterQuery` (type: `string`):

TED expert-search filter without SORT BY. Example: PD>=20260901. The Actor appends deterministic publication-number DESC ordering.

## `maxResults` (type: `integer`):

Maximum number of unique procurement notices written to the Dataset.

## `pageSize` (type: `integer`):

TED ITERATION page size. The official API permits at most 250 notices per page.

## `scope` (type: `string`):

Search all published notices or only active notices.

## Actor input object example

```json
{
  "filterQuery": "PD>=20260901",
  "maxResults": 200,
  "pageSize": 100,
  "scope": "ALL"
}
```

# Actor output Schema

## `results` (type: `string`):

Default Dataset containing normalized notices.

## `summary` (type: `string`):

Run metrics and traversal diagnostics.

# API

You can run this Actor programmatically using our API. Below are code examples in JavaScript, Python, and CLI, as well as the OpenAPI specification and MCP server setup.

## JavaScript example

```javascript
import { ApifyClient } from 'apify-client';
// Initialize the ApifyClient with your Apify API token
// Replace the '<YOUR_API_TOKEN>' with your token
const client = new ApifyClient({
    token: '<YOUR_API_TOKEN>',
});
// Prepare Actor input
const input = {};
// Run the Actor and wait for it to finish
const run = await client.actor("soilair/ted-eu-tenders-api").call(input);
// Fetch and print Actor results from the run's dataset (if any)
console.log('Results from dataset');
console.log(`💾 Check your data here: https://console.apify.com/storage/datasets/${run.defaultDatasetId}`);
const { items } = await client.dataset(run.defaultDatasetId).listItems();
items.forEach((item) => {
    console.dir(item);
});
