## Pricing

from $1.40 / 1,000 app scrapeds

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

Collects app data from the Apple App Store and Google Play: app details, search results and top charts. Both stores return the same output format.

### Modes

| Mode | Input | Returns |
|---|---|---|
| `details` | `apps`: store URLs, App Store IDs, Google Play package names or app names | One record per app |
| `search` | `searchTerms` | Ranked search results from each selected store |
| `charts` | `chart` (`topFree`, `topPaid`, `topGrossing`) and an optional `category` | Ranked chart positions with full details |

Other options: `stores` (default both), `country` (default `us`), `language` (Google Play text, default `en`), `maxResults` per search or chart (up to 200 for the App Store), and `includeFullDetails` (fetch full Google Play pages for search and chart results; default `true`).

Categories: `GAME`, `FINANCE`, `BUSINESS`, `EDUCATION`, `ENTERTAINMENT`, `HEALTH_AND_FITNESS`, `LIFESTYLE`, `MEDICAL`, `MUSIC`, `NAVIGATION`, `NEWS`, `PHOTO_VIDEO`, `PRODUCTIVITY`, `SHOPPING`, `SOCIAL`, `SPORTS`, `TRAVEL`, `UTILITIES`, `WEATHER`, `FOOD_DRINK`, `BOOKS`. Each one maps to the matching category in both stores.

```json
{
  "mode": "charts",
  "chart": "topGrossing",
  "category": "GAME",
  "country": "gb",
  "maxResults": 100
}
```

### Output

```json
{
  "store": "googlePlay",
  "chart": "topFree",
  "rank": 1,
  "appId": "com.spotify.music",
  "title": "Spotify: Music and Podcasts",
  "url": "https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.spotify.music",
  "developer": "Spotify AB",
  "developerWebsite": "https://www.spotify.com",
  "developerEmail": "support@spotify.com",
  "price": 0,
  "currency": "GBP",
  "free": true,
  "rating": 4.25,
  "ratingsCount": 36523775,
  "installs": 1000000000,
  "genre": "Music & Audio",
  "contentRating": "Parental guidance",
  "updated": "2026-10-21T13:18:12.000Z",
  "version": "VARY",
  "summary": "Listen to songs, play podcasts, create playlists...",
  "description": "...",
  "icon": "https://play-lh.googleusercontent.com/...",
  "screenshots": ["..."],
  "containsAds": true,
  "inAppPurchases": true,
  "country": "gb"
}
```

Some fields exist in only one store: `installs`, `developerEmail`, `containsAds` and `inAppPurchases` are Google Play only, while `sizeBytes`, `languages` and `bundleId` are filled from the App Store. Fields a store doesn't provide are `null`. Apps that can't be found return an item with an `error` field.

### API usage

Run the Actor and get results in one request:

```bash
curl -X POST "https://api.apify.com/v2/acts/solarg~app-store-scraper/run-sync-get-dataset-items?token=YOUR_API_TOKEN" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{"mode": "charts", "chart": "topFree", "maxResults": 100}'
```

With the JavaScript client:

```js
import { ApifyClient } from 'apify-client';
const client = new ApifyClient({ token: 'YOUR_API_TOKEN' });
const run = await client.actor('solarg/app-store-scraper').call({"mode": "charts", "chart": "topFree", "maxResults": 100});
const { items } = await client.dataset(run.defaultDatasetId).listItems();
```

With Python:

```python
from apify_client import ApifyClient
client = ApifyClient("YOUR_API_TOKEN")
run = client.actor("solarg/app-store-scraper").call(run_input={"mode": "charts", "chart": "topFree", "maxResults": 100})
items = client.dataset(run["defaultDatasetId"]).list_items().items
```

You can also schedule runs in Apify Console and send results to Google Sheets, Slack, webhooks, Zapier, Make or n8n through Apify's integrations.

### Pricing

$2.00 per 1,000 apps. Platform usage is included in the price.

### Limitations

- Google Play search returns roughly the first 20–30 results per term.
- Charts reflect the selected country.
- For app reviews, use [App Store & Google Play Reviews Scraper](https://apify.com/solarg/app-reviews-scraper).

Report problems in the Issues tab.
