## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Greenhouse, Lever & Ashby Jobs Scraper

Track hiring at chosen companies or build a job-search feed from their Greenhouse, Lever and Ashby boards. Get up to Maximum results open jobs per run, one row per job, through each system's public job-board API.

### What does this Actor do?

- **You give:** company job boards as `greenhouse:airbnb`, `lever:palantir`, `ashby:openai`, or their addresses such as [job-boards.greenhouse.io/airbnb](https://job-boards.greenhouse.io/airbnb), [jobs.lever.co/palantir](https://jobs.lever.co/palantir) or [jobs.ashbyhq.com/openai](https://jobs.ashbyhq.com/openai).
- **You get:** job ID, job and application links, title, company, the system and board name, department, team, location, remote, hybrid or on-site (when the board says), employment type, the salary range with currency and period when the job posts one, publish and update dates, and the full description as plain text.
- **How many:** up to Maximum results across the selected boards (20 by default). As a historical scope example, OpenAI had 817 jobs on Ashby on 2026-10-07; this is not a current count. Filters: words in the title, words in the location; jobs left out are not charged.
- **Speed:** one API call per board; in our local tests two boards with 53 jobs took a few seconds.
- **Price:** $1.125 per 1,000 jobs (20 jobs = $0.0225). No start fee. No proxy needed.
- **Not included:** job boards on other systems (Workday, iCIMS, SmartRecruiters and others), boards that a company keeps private, and candidate data.

### Input

| Field | What it does | Default |
|---|---|---|
| Company job boards | `ats:board` or board addresses, one per line | `greenhouse:airbnb`, `lever:palantir`, `ashby:openai` |
| Title words | Keep only jobs whose title contains one of these words | All |
| Location words | Keep only jobs whose location contains one of these words | All |
| Include descriptions | Add the full description as plain text | On |
| Maximum results | Stop after this many jobs | 20 |
| Only new results | Skip jobs that an earlier run with the same input already saved; they are not saved or charged | Off |
| Proxy configuration | Optional; the Actor runs without one | No proxy |

The board name is the last part of the company's careers address on that system: `job-boards.greenhouse.io/airbnb` is `greenhouse:airbnb`.

Example:

```json
{
    "companies": ["greenhouse:airbnb", "ashby:openai", "lever:palantir", "ashby:linear"],
    "titleKeywords": ["engineer", "data"],
    "locationKeywords": ["London", "Remote"],
    "maxItems": 500
}
```

Run it daily with "Only new results" on to skip previously saved jobs. Each run still stops at Maximum results; a capped run is not a complete snapshot of all new jobs.

### Output

One record per job. Download it as JSON, CSV, Excel or HTML from the Output tab, or read it through the Apify API.

```json
{
    "id": "greenhouse:airbnb:8184174",
    "jobId": "8184174",
    "title": "Account Manager",
    "company": "Airbnb",
    "ats": "greenhouse",
    "board": "airbnb",
    "department": "Business Development",
    "location": "London, United Kingdom",
    "workplaceType": "hybrid",
    "salaryMin": 46000,
    "salaryMax": 54000,
    "salaryCurrency": "GBP",
    "salaryPeriod": "year",
    "postedAt": "2026-09-09T08:35:19.000Z",
    "updatedAt": "2026-09-30T00:00:54.000Z",
    "scrapedAt": "2026-10-08T00:27:39.086Z"
}
```

A real record from a local test run on 2026-10-08 (UTC), shortened to 16 of its 22 fields. Not shown: `url`, `applyUrl`, `team`, `employmentType`, `description`, `sourceUrl`.

Salary fields are `null` when the job posts no range. Dates are in UTC.

The run also saves an `OUTCOME` record in its key-value store, and the same sentence as the run's status message: `COMPLETE` (no more jobs), `MAX_RESULTS` (stopped at Maximum results), `SPENDING_LIMIT`, `PARTIAL` (a board failed, for example a wrong board name), `NO_NEW_RESULTS` (Only new results is on and nothing is new), `NO_MATCHING_RESULTS` (your filters left nothing), `NO_RESULTS` (the boards have no open jobs) or `FAILED`. Only `FAILED` ends the run as failed.

### Pricing

You pay $1.125 per 1,000 jobs, only for jobs saved. No start fee. Platform costs (servers and Apify Proxy) are included in the price.
Example: the default maximum of 20 saved jobs costs $0.0225 (20 × $0.001125). Fewer saved jobs cost proportionally less.

- A job found twice in one run is saved and charged once.
- A run that cannot read anything stops with a reason and costs nothing.
- A job seen again in a later run is saved and charged again, unless "Only new results" is on.
- Set "Maximum results" or a spending limit to cap the cost.

### Notes

- This Actor is an independent tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby or the companies whose jobs it reads.
- It reads the public job-board APIs these systems publish for companies' careers pages; they need no key and no login.
- It returns job and company data only. Job descriptions are the employer's text and can name a recruiter.
- Found a problem? Open an issue on the Issues tab and include the run link.

# Actor input Schema

## `companies` (type: `array`):

One job board per line, as ats:board (greenhouse:airbnb, lever:palantir, ashby:openai) or as the board address (https://job-boards.greenhouse.io/airbnb, https://jobs.lever.co/palantir, https://jobs.ashbyhq.com/openai). The board name is the last part of the company's careers address on that system.

## `titleKeywords` (type: `array`):

Keep only jobs whose title contains one of these words or phrases (for example engineer, data, sales). Jobs left out are not charged.

## `locationKeywords` (type: `array`):

Keep only jobs whose location contains one of these words (for example London, Remote, Germany). Jobs left out are not charged.

## `includeDescription` (type: `boolean`):

Add the full job description as plain text. Turn it off for smaller rows.

## `maxItems` (type: `integer`):

Stop after saving this many jobs. You pay per result, so this also caps the cost.

## `onlyNew` (type: `boolean`):

Skip jobs that an earlier run with the same boards and filters already saved. Skipped jobs are not saved and not charged. The list of saved IDs is kept in a key-value store named "ats-job-boards-scraper-seen" in your Apify account; delete it to start over.

## `proxyConfiguration` (type: `object`):

Optional. The Actor runs without a proxy.

## Actor input object example

```json
{
  "companies": [
    "greenhouse:airbnb",
    "lever:palantir",
    "ashby:openai"
  ],
  "includeDescription": true,
  "maxItems": 20,
  "onlyNew": false,
  "proxyConfiguration": {
    "useApifyProxy": false
  }
}
```

# Actor output Schema

## `jobs` (type: `string`):

Saved jobs in the default dataset.

## `runSummary` (type: `string`):

Run outcome record in the default key-value store.
