## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Gupy Jobs Scraper (Brazil)

Track hiring across Brazilian employers. Get job openings from Gupy, the hiring platform many Brazilian companies use, one row per job, with the full text. Each run saves up to Maximum results across the selected inputs (20 by default).

### What does this Actor do?

- **You give:** a Gupy job search ([portal.gupy.io](https://portal.gupy.io/job-search/term=desenvolvedor); set filters on the site and copy the address), a company's career page, or single job pages.
- **You get:** job title, company (its career-page name), contract type, workplace type (remote, hybrid, on-site), city and state (empty for most remote jobs), publish date, application deadline, full description, responsibilities, requirements, additional information (often the benefits), hiring steps, whether the job is open to people with disabilities (PcD), and the start URL that found it. Text stays in Portuguese, as posted.
- **How many:** Gupy's search shows at most 100 jobs per search, so split big searches by words, cities or filters. A job found by two of your searches is saved once.
- **Speed:** in the historical local tests, 30 jobs from one search took about 4 seconds.
- **Price:** $2.25 per 1,000 jobs (20 jobs = $0.045). No start fee. No proxy needed.
- **Not included:** a separate salary field (when an employer writes the salary, it is inside the text), and any candidate data.

### Input

| Field | What it does | Default |
|---|---|---|
| Start URLs | Job search pages on portal.gupy.io, company career pages (company.gupy.io) or job pages | `https://portal.gupy.io/job-search/term=desenvolvedor` |
| Maximum results | Stop after this many jobs | 20 |
| Only new results | Skip results that an earlier run with the same input already saved; they are not saved or charged | Off |
| Proxy configuration | Optional; the Actor runs without one | No proxy |

Search on portal.gupy.io, set any filters, and copy the address bar. The filters in the URL are kept.

Example:

```json
{
    "startUrls": [
        { "url": "https://portal.gupy.io/job-search/term=desenvolvedor" },
        { "url": "https://portal.gupy.io/job-search/term=analista%20de%20dados" }
    ],
    "maxItems": 50
}
```

### Output

One record per job. Download it as JSON, CSV, Excel or HTML from the Output tab, or read it through the Apify API.

```json
{
    "jobId": 12676498,
    "title": "Assistente / Analista / Desenvolvedor - GRUPO SEB",
    "company": "Grupo SEB",
    "jobType": "effective",
    "workplaceType": "on-site",
    "city": "Brasília",
    "state": "DF",
    "publishedAt": "2026-10-05T14:39:01.907Z",
    "applicationDeadline": "2026-12-04",
    "hiringSteps": [
        "Cadastro",
        "Entrevista",
        "Contratação"
    ],
    "sourceUrl": "https://portal.gupy.io/job-search/term=desenvolvedor",
    "scrapedAt": "2026-10-05T18:02:10.034Z"
}
```

A real record from a local test run on 2026-10-05, shortened to 12 of its 20 fields. Not shown: `url`, `careerPageUrl`, `country`, `description`, `responsibilities`, `requirements`, `additionalInfo`, `openToPwd`.
`jobType` is Gupy's contract code: effective (permanent), internship, trainee, apprentice, temporary, talent_pool and others. Text fields are plain text; the site's formatting is removed. `sourceUrl` is the start URL (search, career page or job page) that led to the job.

The run also saves an `OUTCOME` record in its key-value store, and the same sentence as the run's status message: `COMPLETE` (your pages have no more results), `MAX_RESULTS` (stopped at Maximum results), `SPENDING_LIMIT`, `PARTIAL` (some pages failed to load), `PAGE_LIMIT`, `NO_NEW_RESULTS` (Only new results is on and nothing is new), `NO_MATCHING_RESULTS`, `NO_RESULTS` or `FAILED`. Only `FAILED` ends the run as failed.

### Pricing

You pay $2.25 per 1,000 jobs, only for jobs saved. No start fee. Platform costs (servers and Apify Proxy) are included in the price.
Example: the default maximum of 20 saved jobs costs $0.045 (20 × $0.00225). Fewer saved results cost proportionally less.

- A record found on two of your pages is saved and charged once per run.
- A run that cannot read anything stops with a reason and costs nothing.
- A record seen again in a later run is saved and charged again, unless "Only new results" is on.
- Set "Maximum results" or a spending limit to cap the cost.

### Notes

- This Actor is an independent tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by the website it reads.
- It reads public job pages only and needs no login. It returns job and company data, not candidate data.
- Found a problem? Open an issue on the Issues tab and include the run link.

# Actor input Schema

## `startUrls` (type: `array`):

Gupy job search pages (https://portal.gupy.io/job-search/term=desenvolvedor, filters in the URL are kept), company career pages (https://company.gupy.io/) or single job pages (https://company.gupy.io/jobs/123).

## `maxItems` (type: `integer`):

Stop after saving this many jobs. You pay per result, so this also caps the cost.

## `onlyNew` (type: `boolean`):

Skip results that an earlier run with the same start URLs and filters already saved. Skipped results are not saved and not charged. The list of saved IDs is kept in a key-value store named "gupy-jobs-scraper-seen" in your Apify account; delete it to start over.

## `proxyConfiguration` (type: `object`):

Optional. The Actor runs without a proxy.

## Actor input object example

```json
{
  "startUrls": [
    {
      "url": "https://portal.gupy.io/job-search/term=desenvolvedor"
    }
  ],
  "maxItems": 20,
  "onlyNew": false,
  "proxyConfiguration": {
    "useApifyProxy": false
  }
}
```

# Actor output Schema

## `jobs` (type: `string`):

Saved jobs in the default dataset.

## `runSummary` (type: `string`):

Run outcome record in the default key-value store.
